Summary
Roman was the first to get the messy news about Caroline’s husband, just as the year they’d buried Logan was turning over at last. A stray Bollinger cork to the temple sent Peter toppling headfirst into the Balearic Sea, and unfortunately for him none of the escorts he’d employed to sing Auld Lang Syne were moonlighting as lifeguards, and so the chair sniffer met his briny end. Gerri naturally thought of her own husbands - the dead, divorced, and symbolic - and was glad to have dodged another round of matrimonial angst.
The clean-up would be simple.
