The Jin Sect and the Lan Sect have always been like one family. We're all the same. My two Lan brothers, if you don't drink this, you'd be looking down on me!" Jin ZiXun said holding a drink to Lan Wangji. Lan Wangji just started down at him with his intense gaze but ZiXun refused to back down from attempting to make Lan Wangji drunk.
Suprising both a hand covered in black robe, picks up the glass from Jin ZiXun’s hand and gulped it down. On seeing the black robe owner , every one gasped and gaped at his arrogant action while a man in purple robes with red face muttered under his breath "what the hell Wei Wuxian, can't you stay out of trouble for one day" .
Wei wuxian :"Here Jin ZiXun , I drank it for him " he said flipping the glass upside down to show him while Lan Wangji’s eyes moved to Wei Wuxian and his golden Iris showered Wei Wuxian in warmth and love .
Sect leader Lan slightly shook his head at his brother pinning.
Jin ZiXun: "Wei Wuxian! What are you doing here?” On seeing Jin ZiXun making trouble, sect leader Jin looked at Jin Guangyao to pacify the situation before Jin ZiXun makes trouble and ruin his plans.
Jin Guangyao:"Young master Wei, I didn’t know that you were attending the ....." Before he could finish the sentence, Wei Wuxian turned to Jin sect.
"Where is Wen Ning, I need to ....." they all heard a loud wind and all the windows and doors started banging against each other.
The candles in the conference room started flickering, making all cultivators there gasp in shock and confusion. Soon all the main family of Jin sect and other sect ladies comes rushing towards the conference room as this was the only place that the wind left unscathed.
The other cultivators who are near the window gasped seeing the other building of Koi tower falling due to the wind. The Lan sect tried to use their spell to create a protective shielded against the other building but failed.
Everything turned into chaos and the cultivators moved from their original position to stand near their families and sect.
Nie Huaisang:'' what's happening. Dage! Save me” he whined while moving near to his brother who was gripping Baxia tight in his hold.
Wei Wuxian tried to move outside to find what's happening but a strong grip held his hand back.
He saw Lan Wangji looking at him with one of his hard gaze in warning.
"A-Xian, A-Cheng, where are you?” Jiang Yanli called out once entering the conference room. Jin ZiXuan is pacing behind her or more like following her.
Wei Wuxian turned to answer his shijie but when he saw her appearance, he finds it strange. She looked little flushed and her hair is undone making her look little out of the place.
The peacock behind her were no different, but before he could express his concern, he found himself engulfed in a big tight hug.
Jiang Yanli: “A-Xian, are you alright, what are you doing here? Did you get hurt by the hurricane? Where is A-Cheng? Why are you standing with Lan’s instead of Jiangs? Did you both fought?” She questioned him while checking for Wei Wuxian injuries despite his efforts to stop her.
Jiang Cheng: “A-Jie, are you alright? Peacock said he was going to show you the Lotus pound. Did you get hurt? If so I am going to whip him “he said showing Zidan crackling while Jin Sect members gulped in fear.
ZiXuan:"A-Yanli is fine...I shielded her from the hurricane. She is not injured” he said while both the Yummeng prides looks at her for any injuries.
Madam Jin: “Why don't you all sit and wait here till the hurricane gets over.” she said in a voice that no one can object. Even the Lan sect who was still continuing with the spell, stopped on her command and sat down.
Before Wei Wuxian can move to sit with the Jiangs, Lan Wangji held his hand “Sit here, look there is no place in Jiang sect for you. Sit with the Lans “he uttered while looking at the Jiangs seating arrangement.
Wei Wuxian did the same and indeed he finds out that only one seat is available in Jiang sect row and that too belonged to Jiang Wanyin. He turns to look at his brother who is looking for a place to make his shijie sit, seeing that Wei Wuxian decides to sits next to Lan Wangji.
While seeing that Wei Wuxian was sitting next to him, Lan Wangji felt a rush of warmth filling his entire being that his eyes grew so happy and excited but his cold appearance didn't reveal anything to Wei Wuxian.
(It's been so long since Wei Ying shared space this close with me , even though I did kiss or forced kissed Wei Ying in the Phoenix night hunt , this is something special .. . As after so long Wei Ying is sitting near me.....Though it was me who asked him to sit aside me with an excuse that there is no place for him in the Jiang sect for him, he could have refused or switched with an another disciple ... instead he accepted my invitation.... This is enough, he still sees me as friend ....even though I love...No! This is enough for me...I will love him from far) he thinks while a light shade of red coated his ear on having his crush so close.
Being the personal mind reader of Lan Wangji, Lan Xichen looks at his Didi and smiled internally..... Well his Didi is having a moment and as an elder brother he is happy for him but then again, it's not the same for all Lans.
Lan Qiren with other Lans looks at the sitting pair strangely.... As far as the Lans know, their Hanguang-jun hates Wei Wuxian and it has only increased after Wei Wuxian started cultivating Demonic Cultivation.
But now at this request of their Hanguang-jun really confused they ... why did their Hanguang-jun asked that trouble maker to sit next to him.
They all look at each other to get some answer to their doubts, confusion was evident on all their faces well expect for one particular Lan.
He looks so tired and worn out. ...despite the Lans being known for their perfection, this man looks more like a ghost in a mourning robe. He looks even worse than Wei Wuxian ...and his eyes held no life in them, when the other Lans gazed at him, they would pass him some pitiful stare but he seems unmindful of outside world.
Jiang Wanyin: "A-Jie, since there is no place for you. I will ask one disciple to switch places with you. You can sit there then. "
Jiang Yanli:" No need A-Cheng. I will sit near A-Xian...see there is enough space near him” she said and moved to sit next to Wei Wuxian. Seeing his soon to be wife sitting in the empty space next to Wei Wuxian, ZiXuan too followed Jiang Yanli like a puppy.
Seeing the peacock giving love glazed look towards their sister both the Yummeng prides of Jiang shared a look of alertness and the next movement the Jiang sect leader moved to sit next row behind the peacock to observe him and to prevent him from misbehaving with his sister.
Jin Zixuan who was enjoying his love, suddenly felt a chilly air passing through his bones and wakes out of his love coma to witness himself as the target for Jiang brothers hard gaze.
He sighs at his ill fate of spending time with Jiang Yanli’s two over protective brothers and inwardly wondered whether he should curse or praise the hurricane that was still brewing outside.
The Jiang siblings are very protective of each other and always looks out for each other and sadly since he fell in love with one of the Jiang sibling, he has to bear their over protectiveness and those threatening looks as a part of the dowry .
(Author: Don't worry peacock, soon someone will join in your fate of being a target of Jiang siblings.......any guess who it will be? XD)
Wei Wuxian despite looking calm , he can't help but feel worry inwardly as( Aiya...this hurricane puts end to my plan of searching for Wen Ning temporarily and also made me sit next to Lan Zhan...no no... it's Hanguang-jun now ,who hates me more than anything. )
He thinks sadly.
As he was musing about his loss of friendship with Lan Wangji.....He was hit with the memory of leaving Wen Qing outside.
Before he could move to check out her, his eyes found her hiding with the maids of minor sect. Since there is only little difference in their uniform, it made her blend in easily.
Jiang Wanyin : “Wei Wuxian, do you want to switch places with me? I know you don't want to sit near that ice face and I also I know how much Lan Wangji hates you , I don't mind if you want to switch seats. I will ask one of the Jiang disciple to move here” Jiang Wanyin offered in quiet voice so that the Lans won't hear him and thinks bad about him for gossiping about their second Jade.
"No need, Jiang Cheng! He is the one who offered me this seat and it's not like he will bite me" He said smiling at Jiang Cheng in assurance while inwardly thinking *(Well he did bite me once in the cave but that time and situation was different)*
As soon as everyone finds a place to sit down, the hurricane outside grows stronger and powerful. The clouds outside of the Jin sect with their darkness which hides the light of sun.
One of the Jin elder who witnessed this, grew concerned and whispered “This look like a bad omen for Jin sect and its ruling leader”
Jin-Guangshan:" what are you talking old man. I am the Jin sect leader and the chief cultivator, what can harm me. My sect is the richest sect in the cultivation world right now..." He said looking at the other sect leaders with smirk and arrogance while Nie Mingjue glared at him and his hold on Baxia tightened more.
The Jiangs and Lans glared at the Jin sect leader
Before Lan Xichen can interfere the conflict for A-Yao sake, the dim room of conference suddenly lightened up brightly, filling each and every corner of floral conference room.
The cultivators unable to take it's brightness shielded their eyes and tried to take a closer look at the object which is spreading so much amount of light and to their astonishment they finds small round shape bean ....which in appearance and shape looked more like a pearl.
The pearl was spinning in the color of the Jiang purple and the Jin golden ... gradually decreasing its glow to a normal level.
Everyone looks at the pearl in wonder and astonishment. Even the Lans didn't hide their expression expect one Lan.
Lan Wangji eyebrows twitched slightly and he automatically reaches for his sword Bichen, so that he can save Wei Wuxian if the round shaped pearl were harmful, while ZiXuan did the same for Jiang Yanli. Both the prides of Yummeng sect moved protectively near their sister while the youngest Nie brother hides himself behind his brother.
Sect leader Yao: “what in the hell is this? Young master Wei, is this you’re doing?!"
Wei Wuxian: “What! But I was with you the whole time. ...How can you accuse me like this?
...then again why should I do something like this?”
Jiang yanli:" sect leader Yao! On what basis are you blaming Jiang’s sect head disciple. What evidence do you have to prove that it was my brother who did this? “She asked while looking all fierce in the lights of both the Jin and the Jiang sect.
Lan Wangji: “I was sitting beside Wei Ying and I didn't see him doing anything. Spreading falsehood about someone without witness is crime." he said while giving an icy glare to sect leader Yao.
Seeing the situation getting out of hand, the Madam Jin gestures the maids to serve the tea to all but before they could move....the pearl finished its rotation.
They hear a voice of man shouting and sobbing and a blurry image of a man is viewed kneeling in ....Lotus Pier and near him stood a blurry image of a women wearing Yu Sect dress.
"How I wish I could go back and stop it. If only Wei Wuxian had his golden core during his rescue of Wen remainnents, many things could have been different. If only I could change the past, If only I could find a way for Wei Wuxian to have a golden core.... “The women whispered.
Only her back was visible and in her hands one of the pearl was glowing in purple while her posture stood straight while facing a man who was kneeling in Ancestral hall...his face is also not visible.
Silence prevails in the conference room as everyone’s eyes turned to Wei Wuxian.
Meanwhile the pearl started changing once again but since the participants are busy looking at Wei Wuxian, they didn't notice it.
Jiang Yanli:" A-XIAN what is this women in the pearl saying" ...she inquired her brother who for some reason is looking very pale
Jiang Wanyin: “Wei Wuxian! Is this you’re doing, is it one of your prank?! If so help me ....are you a child to play games like this ...what nonsense is this! ‘" if only you had golden core”’ who is that women!?!" he shouts angrily as somewhere deep inside Jiang Wanyin himself is worried about his brother after his return from three months absence and now this image of women talking about his brother’s golden core is adding to his worries and he feels a sense of dread.
Lan Wangji who saw the scene turns to Wei Wuxian for answers but instead finds Wei Wuxian in ghostly pale color with slightly trembling hands and mouth opened in shock ... sweat beads forming on his face, an unknown pain and dreads fills Lan Wangji.
The more he looks at him, the more his mind starts working. He feels his brother gaze on him but the only thing that matters to him now is Wei Wuxian.
Without a second thought he grasped Wei Wuxian’s wrist and send his Qi energy but soon finds the emptiness where one’s core should reside.
Unknown to Lan Wangji’s own consciousness... a tear dropped from his eyes and he gasped, answering Lan Xichen silent question.
Lan Wangji: “What happened to your core? Why can't I feel your core?” He gasps out in panicked filled voice. Since the whole cultivators attention is on Wei Wuxian, his question serves as an answer to many.
Murmurs fills the silence of the conference room while Jin Guanshan looks at Meng Yao with a smirk on his lips. This Wei Wuxian without a core is easy to destroy and they can get the amulet too.
On seeing the situation getting out of hand Wen Qing who was hiding, searched for a way to distract the cultivators and bring Wei Wuxian out of shock.
When she glanced at the purple pearl, she finds it changing its shape and shrinking into the size of small ball, in fact it appears now more like..... "A Core” she whispered loudly unknowingly as she started at it but since the conference room is full of cultivators... everyone clearly heard her and turns towards her.
But before they could move or take action , they heard a crackling of Zidan and the next movement ...Jiang Wanyin is shaking Wei Wuxian’s shoulders which finally made Wei Wuxian come out of his shock .
Jiang Wanyin: “Wei Wuxian, what happened to your core ...? Why didn't you tell me? I checked myself and I can't sense it, dump ass! What happened to it?" he shouted at him, standing next to Lan Wangji who for some strange reason looks like his life is drying out of him. While Jiang Yanli is crying silently.
Wei Wuxian: “A -Cheng ...I lost....it's ....shidi...I…. “Wei Wuxian struggles to answer while Wen Qing gasped in pain, they all turn to see the Jin sect disciples holding her tightly.
Wei Wuxian : " leave her ....she is with me, she helped us to escape from Wen Chao and I owe a great debt to her " he said looking at his brother in plea , since Jiang Wanyin is already shocked with Wei Wuxian’s core findings , he decided to put his brother first before the reputation of his sect .
Jiang Wanyin:" it's true, she and her brother helped us. We as Jiang sect owe them a debt “he said looking at her with softness in his eyes which made Wen Qing impossible to look away.
Wen Qing:" thank you sect leader Jiang for your kindness. “She bowed as soon as the Jin who kept a hand on her shoulders leave her while Nie Mingjue frowned at the scene but since Jiang sect leader spoke for that Wen women, he leaves the matter.
The core after letting out all its light , started moving towards Wei Wuxian’s dantian before entering his body...placing itself as a core in his body....making everyone gasp at this miracle .... While the one man from Lan looks at Wei Wuxian with strange painful sweet smile.
As soon the core enters inside him, Wei Wuxian feels the spiritual energy flow in him. The fogginess inside his mind cleared and he feels the warmth of golden core after nearly 2 years.
At the age of 16, he gave Jiang Wanyin his golden core and now at the age of 18 he got it back.
It felt so real to him and without any consciousness he turns to Lan Wangji of all people "Lan Zhan I can spar with you again, now I have my golden core again.Finally I am your equal again.....this time let's spar properly “he exclaimed gleefully while whole cultivation world looks at Wei Wuxian like he lost his mind.
Lan Wangji: “I always considered you as my equal, core or no core but what happened to the old one and how did you....I mean… now you have it back ...but …” Lan Wangji sputtered which was again new to all, as this was the first time they saw the second Jade of Lan speaking more than one sentence and he is also sputtering which is so unLan like.
Before Lan Qiren could call Lan Wangji out for his inappropriate behaviour, Lan Xichen stopped him.
Everyone watched with anticipation and dread as the second pearl which was spinning till now ,stopped its rotation and a big square appeared on the side where everyone can see it...this time there is no blurry image but a scenario of plain green grounds and trees where a bunch of fluffy bunnies are playing with each other.
Lan Qiren:" This place seems like Cloud Recesses. "
All the Lans started paying more attention to the picture that was being shown and soon they found four teenagers sitting side by side. They looked more like they were comforting a younger teenager in Jin sect clothes and by the looks of it, he and his attire looked like he was from the Main Jin sect family and he seems rather younger than all of them .
This time they can see the picture without any problem, so they are able to see two teenagers in Lan robes and another one from Ouyang sect robes.
Madam Jin:" Tell me, which woman gave birth to this bastard child? Don't you feel ashamed of your acts?" she muttered sitting near her husband
While the Jin sect leader turned pale and he looked like a frightened kitten, on afraid of finding that Jin boy as his bastard son.
Meng Yao eyes started twitching on seeing his rival for his father’s love and approval.
Lan Xichen: "strange, I never saw those juniors in Clouds Recess. Uncle, do you know them? “He asked looking at his uncle but Lan Qiren said no.
Ouyang sect:" I too never saw that boy in my sect! "
Sect leader Jin:" may be they are Wen war prisoners that we may forgotten to imprison them."
Lan Wangji:"They look hardly like adults, sect leader Jin. “He said while staring at the Jin sect leader while Lan Xichen tried to control Lan Wangji’s anger... so A-Yao will escape his father wrath.
Meanwhile Nie Mingjue looks at the said teenagers and finds them resembling more of children.
Jin sect boy:" I agree my uncle was wrong but what about Sect Leader Lan, he was there too. He was wrong too, he too participated in Siege.
But now they all are happy as family expect my uncle. Xi Yang deserves to know that uncle too but due to past incident ...it will not happen… "
As soon as the words are heard about sect leader Lan, all of them turned their gaze on Lan Xichen, who himself was looking confused. (What wrong did I commit...? Lan Xichen thinks. )
Nie Mingjue:" what's this boy saying about you Lan Xichen” he asked his longtime friend but only gets confusion as his answer.
The older Lan boy:" gossiping about others is forbidden,” he said looking at the boy with sadness in his eyes.
Jin boy:" shut up Sizhui, don't bring those old rules now. I have to say your
Hanguang-jun is biggest hypocrite ever. I agree my uncle is a brother killer but isn't Hanguang-jun a brother stealer too “he expressed his anger.
This time not only the Lans but even Wei Wuxian got angry.
Lan Lio:" who is this boy, first he said our first Jade did mistake and now he is calling our second Jade a hypocrite and a thief!”
Lan Xichen looks at Lan Wangji to find any clues about the situation they are talking about but finds confusion.
Wei Wuxian:" Lan Zhan! I never thought, someone will call you a hypocrite and let alone a thief.
Tell me Lan Zhan, whose brother did you steal? “He teased Lan Wangji. After having his golden core back, he feels better and now decides to do his favorite job of teasing Lan Wangji.
Before Lan Wangji could answer or more like a response,
Jiang Cheng calls him out. "Shut up Wei Wuxian. This kid is joking and here you are disturbing and teasing the second Jade because of this.
Why should Hanguang-jun steal anyone’s brother, don't you know Lans are more "Righteous”.”
Jiang Cheng scolded his brother as he was afraid of Wei Wuxian offending Lan sect and bringing more trouble to the Jiang sect.

Lan Sizhui:"Jingyi, now is not the time to joke. I too wish the same as Jin Ling. My parents died on that day too”
Jin Ling:" you know it will be only a wish. Though no matter how we wish to change that day’s events, I know it will be only a wish. At the end of the day, this is the present. At least my other uncle is happy with his family “he mourned moving from there without noticing the glowing light inside his bag.
As soon as the name Lan Jingyi is heard, all the Lans stopped watching the screen and turned their gaze towards the one Lan who was now very pale and seems to have a difficulty in breathing.
Wei Wuxian who heard the Jin boy’s words , matched it with his actions that he planned and finds the unpleasant answer to the question that each cultivators have ......"This is not fake or any prank....I think this is the …”
"Future. We are seeing the future" the Lan said looking at Wei Wuxian, who for the first time noticed him and saw the Lan eyes and features radiating a familiar pain.
Nie Mingjue:" how are you certain that this is the future not some tricks by the Wens. "
That Lan man:" because that other Lan boy, whose name Jingyi is my son. I have a one year old son in that name and he too has the same cloud ribbon, I tied it for my son”
Wei Wuxian:" I agree with the young master Lan here. My plan today was to find Wen Ning for lady Wen but that unexpected hurricane changed it. I think the pearl is something similar to magical wish granding thing. First that women’s wish about my golden core and now this young Jin boy’s wish of showing cultivation world their wrong doings." He said frowning at the screen.
Lan Xichen. :" It may be possible as I never seen those boys here in Gusu"
Jiang Wanyin:" true but that boy called your brother hypocrite and brother stealer. Whose brother did Hanguang-jun steal ...this seems absurd “the Jiang sect leader voiced out while Lan Xichen looks at Lan Wangji with amused eyes.
