    Growing up during times of war can really take a toll on your personality. Having your friends either die or betray you, and watching everything you've worked hard for fall because of people with opposite opinions to you. Following your brother into war, winning and losing and winning and losing over and over again until eventually you're both exiled from the very place you built with your own two hands. As a sixteen year old boy, that is extremely traumatic. The only semi good thing that came from the whole thing is that Tommy could sleep through anything.
