Chapter Text
Tomura didn’t have any windows in his cell but he could tell it was night. The officers had told him he would have a trial tomorrow.
To be judged. To be given a fate.
Of course it would be something he deserved, for all the terrible things he’s done. Tomura understood that. He knew the rest of his young life would be him tied up in some maximum security prison. Where he would rot and suffer, not have any more freedom. Not like the past 22 years of his life had much freedom. Sensei took that away from him. Society took that away from him.
There was no way to win, no way to get out of this. Like where your game controller gets stuck and you can’t control your Mario Cart. You have to give in, and understand there’s nothing you can do but make it worse.
Tomura was condemned. He closed his eyes and listened to the buzzing sound of all the technology holding him, watching him, locking him in.
It would be the same to die. At least I’d be out of here.
Might as well try to sleep on it.
His thoughts changed to counting sheep, one affect from the war was the difficulty sleeping.
One fluffy sheep with a big blue bow, another with yellow fur, ooh one with purple polka dots!
He was a child deep inside.

Izuku was on top of the dorm roof staring up at the moon. He couldn’t sleep, he envied those who could. The war ruined that for him. Not like he needed much sleep anymore. Unlike a regular person who needs nine hours of sleep Izuku only needed around three. Well… it’s sorta different each day. Some days it’s three others its six, it’s never more than seven though. Izuku and his sleep schedule are like a mystery box bought off Etsy, you never knew what you’d get.
Izuku didn’t sleep like other people either. He only took naps. They were short, randomly timed, and at random moments. They would be in random places, if it was a place he deemed safe. Usually he slept alone but sometimes he would go and snuggle up to Kacchan, the one person he felt safe with.
Tonight Izuku didn’t need sleep, he had already napped in the afternoon. He was laying down, so he stretched his arms up to try and reach the stars. He closed his eyes briefly. A second later he was gone.

About 50 officers were running down the jails hallway to level 5, top security. The inmates were screeching at them. Prisoner Tomura Shigaraki had disappeared. He had escaped.
