Looking up at the World's Fair Hotel, Marie couldn't stop thinking about how amazing their honeymoon was going to be in a place like that. The moss-green paint seemed fresh. It had a glass design on the green doors. The sun reflected off the glass, somewhat stunning Marie. Before the two walked in, Jeff took Marie's hat playfully. She turned around and smiled at him. He smiled back teasingly. When she tried to take it back, Jeff held it up higher, teasing her for her height. He pulled her closer and landed a kiss on her cheek. Then, he finally gave Marie her hat back.
The couple walked inside, admiring the beautiful wallpaper, decor, and chandeliers hanging down. They walked around holding hands. Jeff then went to the front desk to get a room. Marie immediately ran for the rings. She loved the one Jeff got her, but she just really wanted more of them. The golden rings shimmered in the sunlight. The beautiful gems and crystals made Marie smile.
Marie looked back at Jeff. He seemed frustrated as he continuously rang the bell on the desk. She walked over to make sure everything was okay. "Where is this man?" Jeff asked, ringing the bell one last time.
"Do you two need anything?" A man questioned behind them. The two turned around. The man wore a black bowler hat and had a big brown mustache.
"Yes, we would like a room, please."
The man went behind the desk and grabbed a couple of things, "I'm sorry for the wait. I'm Henry Howard Holmes," He grinned, placing a paper and pen on the desk.
"It's a special day for us," Marie grinned, showing the man her golden ring.
"Well, congratulations," he said, "Now please sign here." he handed Jeff a pen and afterward escorted them upstairs. It was just as beautiful as downstairs. Chandeliers, gorgeous wallpaper, and paintings hanging on the walls.
When he opened the door to their room, Marie wanted to scream. The place was so stunning. Jeff took the keys and sat down, admiring the decor. Marie flopped down onto the bed. She was so happy she got to spend a whole day with the man she just married. It was a dream come true. Her thoughts were interrupted by Jeff throwing a pillow at her. She smirked at him and picked up a pillow.
