    “Subz, I’m still alive,” he whispered, lips cracking and letting out a new line of blood as he spoke.

    Subz wanted to scream.

    “I know you are, but for how long? Who did this to you? Who do I need to kill? Hang in there, I’ll get some healing potions! Vitalasy, please just keep breathing for just a little bit longer!”

    A broken smile formed on the boy’s face as he reached out to grasp Subz’s left hand, a sad reminder of a temporarily injured boy, but a forever injured soul of the world they lived in.
