"This is so moronic," he says as he rests his chin against the top of his hands. Although her lips twitch, Rory refuses to answer; her blue eyes bore holes into his skull as she stares at him, uncomfortably reading the lines of his face, and the thickness of his unkempt brows. Maybe he should’ve brushed his hair this morning.
"You know what’s really good?" he leans back in his chair and ignores Luke’s glare from behind the diner’s counter. Jess is on an extended lunch break as he refuses to serve Kirk despite him clicking his fingers from a table behind Rory. "Pineapple on pizza."
"No!" Rory shakes her head, looking aghast. "It’s a crime against everything you know, Jess Mariano! Why are you smiling? Stop laugh—Oh." She pouts and slouches in her chair.
"Told you," he says smiling arrogantly. "Those Gilmores," he tsks playfully, "they have something to say about anything."
