Plz read notes for some context
again I suck at writing and this was for an English project
Once upon a time there was a man. This man deemed himself to be a cowboy. Because he called himself a cowboy, he wanted to look like one. He had a blue bandanna around his neck, with a white shirt and long sleeves, a light brown leather vest, light blue jeans with a brown belt that has gold on the front, big leather boots, a ‘sheriff badge’ that is entirely made out of gold, and a big cowboy hat. His name was Jimmy. Jimmy was about 5’5 and had nice golden blonde hair, he also had light brown eyes. Jimmy had an Empire; Empires were pieces of land that people have claimed and could build and create whatever they wanted on it. Jimmy was exploring and found a badlands desert biome, he liked the terrain of it and decided that it would be where his Empire would be.
Because it was a desert, he decided to be a cowboy. So, he got the outfit and built his Empire. Jimmy’s Empire was named Tumble Town. Tumble Town had multiple buildings that he had built, and one of them was Jimmy’s house. Jimmy’s house stood out a bit more than the others because of the scale of it. Every building was made out of wood. Most of the time it was oak or spruce wood, but some had birch. Every building and pathway had lanterns lighting the place up.
One of the buildings in Tumble Town was quite a big building. The building looked like a church. There were many rows of chairs and there was a wooden pedestal at the end. This place is actually not a church. On the wooden pedestal there is a book. The book had the rules of Tumble Town, the ‘law’.
Everyone who ever visited Tumble Town were supposed to follow the laws that were in that book. If they didn’t Jimmy would get mad. The rules were also quite silly. They were things like don’t disrespect the sheriff and Tumble Town, and don’t wear the sheriff’s hat. Things that normally wouldn’t be taken seriously.
There were a lot of things Jimmy liked and disliked. He liked it when people followed and respected his ‘laws’, he loved his big cowboy hat and his sheriff badge, to him it was what it meant to be a sheriff. Jimmy also likes alliances. Empires can have alliances with each other to make sure that they are on good terms, sometimes it just means that they get better trades with each other. Things Jimmy didn’t like were when people disrespect his ‘laws’, when people take his hat and badge, or do anything to make fun of him.
That’s where Joel came around. One of Joel’s favorite things to do is to make fun of Jimmy and his Empire. Joel would constantly visit Jimmy’s Empire and mess around, do things that would normally be against the ‘law’. Jimmy knew it was fun and games and still acted annoyed, but then it actually turned into annoyance. Joel would almost come every single day to disobey Jimmy’s ‘laws’ and make fun of him. And it made Jimmy kind of mad. Joel was a cocky man. He always thought good of himself. He always says that he is a powerful god and that he is more superior because his Empire is in the sky. Joel was 6’6 in height and had big muscles. He had brown hair with a green streak in the front to the back of his hair, he had a brown beard and dark brown eyes. Because he said he was a god he also dressed like one. Joel wore a white dress thing that only held from one shoulder and went to about his knees and had thin green fabric tied around his waist. He also had a thick brown bracelet made out of fabric on each of wrists. For shoes, he wore brown shoes with lace that went up his leg.
Every time Joel would visit Jimmy’s Empire, he would always make fun of him. He would keep disobeying his laws and pull pranks on him. The things Joel would do is take Jimmy’s hat and make Jimmy chase him for a bit, tell him that he is small, and his Empire is useless, and even one time he made a splash potion that made Jimmy small for 2 hours.
Everything that Joel did was funny at first but then ended up annoying. Jimmy wanted to be respected like the sheriff he is, but he knows he won't get respect. Eventually Jimmy started to believe everything that Joel said. He started to believe that he and his Empire were useless, and he wasn’t good enough to do anything.
And that he was small.
That one was true though.
One day, it was afternoon time, and it would only be a few hours before the sun would set. The lanterns were starting to light up the buildings and the pathways, it looked nice. Jimmy decided he wanted to fly over his empire and see if he could fix any of the terrain up a bit and make it look better. So, he went inside his house to find his wings. When he found them and put them on, he heard something. He heard the air blowing so he quickly went outside. Everyone always used wings, so it was normal to hear that.
When he closed the door behind him, and looked around, he saw Joel. “Hi Joel. Do you need anything?” Jimmy said. Jimmy really wasn’t in the mood for anything too crazy. He really just wanted to be calm and do some work on his Empire.
“Hey toy, I just came to do the normal stuff y’know? Mess around with you and make fun of your stupid Empire.” Joel said. Oh. Jimmy forgot. Because Jimmy was “small” and him and his Empire were cowboy like, Joel found it funny to call him a toy.
“Oh... Well, I’m doing something at the moment, can we wait or just not do this?” Jimmy said, still putting on a smile.
“That’s funny Jim, it’s what I love doing, pulling pranks on you and making fun of your silly Empire.” Joel said. Jimmy half expected this. He probably should’ve known that just asking him to not do anything wouldn’t work. And as Joel said, it’s what he loves doing.
“Well, what do you have today then?” Jimmy sighed. Jimmy thought it would be better to just ask instead of have it be a surprise. He wasn’t in the mood for surprises, especially from Joel. “Hm... Why should I tell you anyways? Eh. I didn’t bring anything.” Joel said. Oh. Jimmy thought. He was probably just going to annoy him with words. It’s better than being thrown around.
“Ok then... I’m just going to do my thing then. Jimmy said. “What?” Joel said. Jimmy shrugged and flew upwards. Joel followed. Jimmy started looking around his Empire and saw a hill that he thinks he should remove, it’s kind of out of place and he could probably put something there in the future.
Jimmy flew on the hill and grabbed his pickaxe. Then Joel landed.
“What are you doing?” Joel asked, really confused.
“Terraforming, I thought this hill looked out of place.” Jimmy said.
“Well, I’m here shouldn’t you be not working on your Empire? Plus, you suck at terraforming, this is barley anything.” Joel laughed. Jimmy got mad. Not over the top, but just ruined the mood more.
Jimmy started mining the terracotta with his pickaxe.
“I mean if you’ve got no plan why don’t I just do my own thing while you talk? And you haven’t even terraformed yet. Your Empire is literally in the sky.” Jimmy said. Joel got mad. “Wow what’s with the backtalk today? Someone in a bad mood?” Joel said. Jimmy knew he was silently laughing at him. “Well, everything had gone quite well today, and I assumed you were busy and didn’t have time to come over.” Jimmy said while making a bigger dent in the hill.
“Aw Jim, I’ll always make time to annoy you.” Joel said, laughing.
‘...’ Jimmy stayed silent, continuing to mine the small hill. After a couple seconds Joel said, “Aw not the silent treatment.” pretending to be sad. To be honest, Joel liked it when he wasn’t silent, Joel loved getting a reaction out of him.
A little moment went by, and then Joel took Jimmy’s cowboy hat. Jimmy tried to grab it back but couldn’t and raised it over his head.
“Aw look at the small cowboy.” Joel said, waving up over his head. Jimmy just grunted and continued to mine. He was making some progress and would probably be done with it in under 30 minutes.
Joel didn’t know what to do. Jimmy was ignoring him, and it was normally fun seeing him mad. Now it was just boring. Joel then put the big hat on his head and said, “I’m the sheriff and I have a bad Empire!” in a high-pitched voice.
This was nothing new for Jimmy. Joel always did this, and Jimmy would end up screaming at him. Always at the end Joel would win. So why not try to ignore him and see what happens. All of this made him angry, and he really wanted to yell. It’s just Joel making fun of him.
A while later after some silence only broken by Joel giggling and Jimmy mining, Joel decided to continue. “I have corrupt rules and I’m small!” He said in a singsong like voice.
And then he kept going, kept mimicking Jimmy and making fun of him.
Until it got too much.
“I’m Jimmy and I’m useless!” For some reason, that made him break.
“Go away.” Jimmy said. Joel laughed “No.”
“GO AWAY.” Jimmy yelled. He quickly turned around and swung his pickaxe at Joel. Joel dodged it but was shocked. He couldn’t believe that Jimmy yelled and almost hurt him. Quickly, Jimmy ran and jumped into the air, then started flying as fast as he could. Jimmy was panicking. There were tears running past his face, blowing into the air. He couldn’t believe he’d try to hurt someone and yell at someone like that. Jimmy tried to fly miles and miles away as quick as possible, but then he knew he needed to find somewhere to sit.
Eventually, Jimmy found a tree. Jimmy didn’t know why he liked it, but he sat underneath it and started balling. He couldn’t believe he had done that and now he didn’t know where he was. It would probably be easy getting back to Tumble Town because he only flew in a straight line, but the process would just suck.
Jimmy just sat there curled in a ball under that tree crying. When he stopped crying, he realized that it was nighttime. He knew he should probably get back to Tumble Town and he hoped Joel left a long time ago. Eventually Jimmy got up and started flying home.
When he got back, he realized Joel left his big cowboy hat on the hill he was terraforming earlier. He quickly flew down and grabbed it, then walked to his house.
Then he fell asleep.
When Jimmy woke up, he started crying again. He immediately remembered what happened last night.
Maybe everything Joel said to him was right. Maybe he was useless, and his Empire sucked and was one of the worst ones. Maybe he wasn’t good enough.
Then there was a knock at his door. “Sheriff?”
---
It was a nice morning; the sun was just going up and I was building some houses. Nobody seemed to be awake yet in Hermitopia. Then I realized I needed some gold for touchups. Jimmy lived in a badlands biome, so he probably had some gold to spare.
When I was almost done with the building and needed the gold, I started flying towards Jimmy’s Empire.
When I started seeing the view of his Empire I was amazed. Jimmy was getting really good at building. I liked the way all of his buildings were made out of the same items, and all had the same style. The lanterns were probably my favorite part, at nighttime they probably make the place look beautiful, nice and lit up.
I didn’t see Jimmy anywhere, so I assumed he was asleep. I flew down to where I assumed his house was. I knocked on the door a couple times with no response. Then I listened. I realized there was a soft crying noise. “Sherrif?” I said.
After a couple seconds I asked, “Are you ok Jimmy?”
No response.
“May I come in?”
“Y-yeah” Jimmy said. I opened the door and saw Jimmy on his bed with teary eyes.
---
When I gave the person permission to come in, I saw Scar. He looked shocked and sad. I can’t believe I let him see me like this.
Scar was new here. He was living in ‘Hermitopia’ with the other ‘Hermits’, Scars friends. He also almost looked like a cowboy himself. With a big hat and wearing basically only brown shades on his clothes.
“Jimmy are you alright?” Scar said, on the edge of his bed.
“U-uhm. I don’t know.” Jimmy said. “Clearly something is wrong, are you hurt?” Scar asked.
“N-no. I’m a-alright Scar, really-” Jimmy said.
Scar cut him off. “Well you’re not fine if you’re like this. May it sit?”
“Y-yeah.”
Scar slowly sat down on the edge of Jimmy’s bed, still worried.
“There is something bothering you. Can you please tell me what it is? Maybe I can help.” Scar asked calmly.
“I-it’s stupid.” Jimmy said, still crying softly.
“No. It’s not.” Scar said firmly.
“W-well I think my Empire sucks, and I’m useless, I’m a bad sheriff and I don’t deserve anything.” Jimmy said while crying and sniffling.
Scar was shocked. “Who made you think that.”
“W-well Joel kept telling me a lot of these things and he’s right.” Jimmy said.
“No. He is wrong. You are a good sheriff. You aren't useless, your Empire is beautiful, and you deserve anything and everything.” Scar said. He was shocked. How could Joel ever do such a thing.
After a while Scar got Jimmy to calm down. He wasn’t sure if Jimmy accepted what was said, but at least he stopped crying.
“I think I realized something when Joel was giving me a tour of his Empire.” Scar said. “What?” Jimmy asked. Confused of where Scar was going with this.
“I think his Empire isn’t floating, like it’s supported by something.
