Chapter 1: The God meets a shape-shifting cheater

Chapter Text

Georgia underestimated her role, when she accepted to be the next heir after her mother's 300 year reign.

Although it's been a week since the whole, celebration that Willow's only daughter is getting the title "Mother Nature" after 26 years after her birth of course.

And of course Georgia was much older than any mortal, she was well off into her thousands, but for mortals sake she was 26 years old.

Today though, Georgia decided to become one with her new surroundings, owning an entire dying planet wasn't an easy task.

She roamed the forests using her newly stregnthened power to grow dying trees into tall strong plants and expanding the forest so the trees would take up empty places and the grass below her would grow long and green.

She didn't stop there, growing dying flowers and creating more. Suddenly there was a snap behind her, presumably the snap of a twig under someone's shoe, considering the fact that she heard a silent swear afterward.
"Who's there?" She turns to see the person- thing's silhoutte shift into something and hide in the bushes, she keeps her eyes on the bush.

Just for a small white fox to come out. Georgia blinks, watching the fox trot up to her and nudge her leg.

This is unusual behaviour for an animal this kind, since she assumes it isnt tame. "Well, hello.." She plucks the animal off the ground, it has no objections, seemingly going limp in her hand.

Georgia holds the animal out from her to analyze it. "How peculiar, a wild animal such as you shouldn't be so calm in a humans hold." Georgia hums, she sets the animal back down who only looks back up at her, it looks disappointed.

She shakes off the feeling, turning to continue her work of expanding the forest.

The fox follows her.

"What- why are you still here?" Georgia swats next to the white ball of fur. The animal huffs and suddenly it's form changes into a human. Georgia looks up from her place on the ground, she falls back, she looks at the tall woman before her. "Amazing.." She mutters.

She stands, the woman analyzes her as Georgia does her.

"I've never seen such unique and odd magic preformed before my very eyes such as this." Georgia makes a full circle around the woman. Taking in her odd choice of clothing.

She wears a white tanktop and army print baggy pants, black fingerless gloves accomidate her hands. She wears her brown belt as a sash around her waist, a single belt loop used to keep her belt from falling.

She wears a white mask that covers her face, has short golden blonde hair that's covered in dirt and currently tied up. She wears a black bag strapped around her thigh.

Georgia, now at the womans side inspects her further. "This is really peculiar.. never in all my years have I seen someone dress this way." Georgia stands straight holding her chin. "I like it."

"I haven't seen anyone wear white in a forest before." The masked woman speaks, her voice matches her appearance, deep and yet gentle. Georgia has never held a conversation with a mortal before.

Georgia looks down to her flowy white dress, the arms flow long enough to hide her hands, the dress itself hides her figure so she almost looks like a spirit roaming the green forest.

Her long brown hair clashes with the dress and her pale complextion, thus- almost a spirit.

Yet it isn't dirty. The bottoms of her bare feet are though.

Georgia is stuck, she doesn't know what to say next. How do normal mortals conversations go? Did her mom ever talk to humans? What would she say in this situation?

Her thoughts are cut short by the masked woman clearing her throat. "So.. um Welcome to the DreamSmp. Name's still in progress but- heh- you know. Anyway, um wanna come back to my base to meet my friends?" She offers.

Georgia doesn't know what a "base" is but nods anyways.

The trek back to this "base" was long and silent. It was awkward, Georgia fidgeted with her dress and followed silently behind the masked woman.

"Here it is." She suddenly stopped, Georgia almost running into her back.

There was another woman, standing there talking with a rather tall man who leaned against the buliding there. Georgia jumped at the sudden distant yelling and the shorter woman bursting into literal flames.

The masked woman already left her side to go (probably) calm down the woman in flames. Georgia watched from a distance as her flames died down.

The masked woman patted her back and then redirected both their attention to Georgia standing a bit farther away. Georgia suddenly remembered her father's words. "Never interact with humans directly. Don't let them find out you're a God." She was brought back to reality when they were suddenly approching her.

Georgia panicked, not only did she break one of her father's rules, she didn't trust herself to be able to hold a normal human conversation without giving away her identity as mother nature herself.

Georgia took a few steps back as they got close enough to see her face, and she could make out their features until they were right in front of her.

"Guys this is the chick I told you about, I found her wondering around in the forest." The woman motioned to her. "This is Sapnap," She pointed to the short woman, tame flames danced on her white shirt, she wore a black undershirt and a flame with a headband on her shirt.

She wore a white headband and had black horns jutting out of her head, small fumes adorned them as well. She stood with her arms crossed, and wore black shorts with white stripes on the side. Her hair was also tied up but in two buns on top of her head.

Georgia was a little jealous of her appearance. The masked woman pointed to him "This is Sam." He smiles and waves, he wore a semi seethrough mask and a sleeveless turtleneck and black joggers. His hair was green and down, long enough to reach his neck.

"And I never caught her name." The blonde woman's hand drops to hit her thigh, a slight sign of exasperation as she sighs in disappointment. She perks up again in hopes of learning it.

All eyes are on her, and she takes in their unintentional body language of them all perking up at the hope to learn her name. She realizes she hasn't said anything. "Um," She brings her hands to her chest. "Georgia."

"Yours?" Georgia looks to the masked woman.

Who perks up again, flustered she stutters. "Oh- Um oh M- I'm Dream." She chuckles nervously.

"Dream." Georgia repeats. "What an odd name, what mortal woman would name their child after a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person's mind during sleep?" The three give her a look, Georgia looks up from her thoughts.

"What?"

Dream chuckles again, more of an uncomfortable huff than a laugh. The two standing beside her laugh uncomfortably. 'Sapnap' leans over to Dream whispering something Georgia can't hear. Dream laughs for real at whatever was sat and slaps Sapnap a little too hard on the back, that Georgia notices her momentaily loose her footing.

"Sapnap! Why would you say that? Georgia is our newest addition to our kingdom, of course she's staying." Even with a mask on Georgia can tell Dream is grinning hard, yet she can still sense the tenseness in the air.

It was forced, she's still uncomfortable.

"I- I'm sorry." Georgia brings her hands down to fold together on her thighs. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." Georgia lowers her head. "I don't know what I did wrong but I'm sorry." But she keeps that part to herself.

"It's alright Georgia, Punz says some weirder stuff, don't worry about it." Sapnap says, slinging an arm over her shoulders, an affectionate gesture to ease the tension going on, Georgia notes.

"Punz? What's a Punz?" Georgia asks, Sapnap bursting into laughter, her arm slipping slightly when she doubles over. Her hand splays out on the nape of Georgia's neck, slightly tipping her over with her.

Dream chuckles too, this laugh seems genuine enough, not real yet not forced. Yet Georgia doesn't understand what's so funny. "Punz- Punz is Dream's girlfriend." Sapnap says recovering enough to stand up and wipe tears from her eyes.

Tears usually formed after laughter means the brain is sending signals to the tear ducts as a result of vigorous laughter.

"Oh." Georgia simply says, she turns to Dream, "Sorry. I didn't know Punz was a person."

Dream laughs at this, an actual laugh, more like wheeze but she shakes her head, "It's alright."

Georgia doesn't know the definition of what a Punz might be, all she knows is that she's a person that's dating another woman that dresses like she's in the game Tomb Raider.

"I'll take you to go and meet her sometime tomorrow maybe." Dream smiles under her mask, Georgia can tell from how the straps adjest to fit the mask around her face and how her jaw moves ever so slightly from the movement.

Georgia nods, "Alright, well it's getting late and monsters will be out soon so lets get inside, yeah?" Sam speaks up, returning to the group.

Sapnap's hand slides off Georgia's shoulder as she follows Dream and Sam inside their base. Dream turns, noticing that Georgia wasn't with her. "You coming?" But when she turns she's met with nothing.

The group turn as well, everyone has reactions of worry. Sapnap's brows furrow and Dream takes off running into the forest. Sam crosses his arms, lip drawn into his mouth he chews nervously. "Where could she have gone so quickly?" He mumbles taking off after Dream.

"I didn't even hear her leave." Sapnap says running after them.
