“Lan Zhan,” a voice whispered outside of the jingshi’s window. “Lan zhan, are you up?”
The window slides open, “Wei Ying, you’re here.”
“Hehe, who knew that the Lan Wangji would ask me to break the rules. Not one, but multiple!,” Wei Wuxian chuckles. He quieted when he felt a finger being pressed on his lips, there it was again, the tingle down his spine.
“Wei Ying needs to be quiet. Or else, we’ll be caught.” It felt like Lan Wangji was whispering directly into his ears, and Wei Wuxian could feel his hot breath tickling his ears. He instinctively covered them with his hands, cupping them to shield them from the imaginary heat.
