Instead of taking one of the stools, Eddie hops up to sit on the counter next to Steve's elbow, letting his bare feet dangle. He picks up the mug, cradling it in long, ringed fingers and purses his lips to blow across the steaming surface. Steve feels his face heat and looks away. He can't put his finger on it - what changed between them, and when it happened.
He just knows that it did.
