Chapter Text
Centuries upon centuries ago, a group of traveling Gods decided to found four kingdoms. The Gods went by the names of Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin and Len, Megurine Luka, Meiko, and Kaito. The gods split their rule over the four kingdoms, although Hatsune Miku was not happy with this. She created duplicates of herself to rule alongside the other Gods, so that she could have control of every kingdom.
The Northern Kingdom, Pheonix Kingdom, was ruled by the Otori family. It was originally founded by Kaito and a version of Miku with strangely cat-like features and was permanently happy.
The Southern Kingdom, Viridescent Kindgom, was ruled by the Kiritani family. It was originally founded by Kagamine Rin and a version of Miku with a permanent smile and shining aura.
The Eastern Kingdom, Starry Kingdom, was ruled by the Hoshino family. It was originally founded by Megurine Luka and a version of Miku who acted calm and had a strong sense of leadership.
The Western Kingdom, Pegasus Kingdom, was ruled by the Tenma family. It was originally founded by Kagamine Len, Meiko, and a version of Miku who acted cool and always tried to help.
Although Miku had rule over all four kingdoms, she still desired more power. The other Gods were displeased with this. Although keeping her clones to rule alongside them, the Gods banished the original outside of the kingdoms, leaving Miku by herself. Over the years this Miku grew sad and lonely, as her hair greyed and she lost all sense of familiarity with the rest of the world inside the kingdoms.
Outside of the kingdoms, Miku founded the uninhabited territory. Wanting to rebel against the other Gods that had treated her so poorly before, she decided to rule the territory in a different manner than the kingdoms were. In the uninhabited kingdom, the family that posessed the most wealth would be the leader of the rest.
The uninhbited territory was originally ruled by the Shinonome family, although after the disappearance of their family, the Yoisaki family took charge.
Centuries after the foundation of the technically five kingdoms, and the eventual retirement of the Gods, is when our story takes place.
