Work Text:
Jeongin was looking up at the mistletoe that was hanging in the middle of his dorm and wondered who had hung it up there. Probably Felix but it could have been Hyunjin as well. The reason why it was hanging up there was not completely clear to Jeongin.
Earlier today the mistletoe did not hang yet.
The dorm door was loudly opened and closed and a moment later Jisung stood in the doorway.
"What are you doing here?" Jeongin asked, confused. It was rather late. Minho and Seungmin were already asleep and Felix was having a dinner date with Changbin and Chan.
"I…", Jisung started but stopped right after it and walked closer. "I just wanted to talk a bit."
"We could have talked over the phone."
"I know but I just needed to see you", he whispered, coming even closer. Jeongin wasn't sure but Jisung looked kinda nervous.
"Are you okay?" He didn't want Jisung to be nervous in his presence. Jisung nodded but Jeongin sensed he was not telling the truth.
"Hyung!", Jeongin whined, pushing against Jisungs shoulder. Jisung let out a trembling sigh. For Jeongin it wasn't new that Jisung could get nervous sometimes but Jeongin hadn't seen that kind of nervousness on him.
"Alright now tell me, what's the matter!" Instead of answering, Jisung looked up and pointed towards the mistletoe.
"Who hung that up there?" Jeongin shook his shoulders.
"Don't know."
"Do you know about the tradition?" Now Jeongin's eyes were fixed on Jisung, not sure whether he had heard him right.
"You mean the kissing? Yes I know about that." Jisung started to nod softly.
"We are standing under it."
"We could just walk away", whispered Jeongin as Jisung came slowly closer.
"That's right. We could do that but it would not be the right thing to do." Jeongin felt the other one's hand softly touching his. Without any doubt Jeongin would kiss Jisung. He would kiss him even without this mistletoe. He had wanted to kiss him for years now but of course he could not. It would ruin everything. But that way? He could just say it was a kiss for the mistletoe. That would be it.
"Alright", muttered Jongin, pulling Jisung closer to him, so that they were nose to nose. He saw Jisungs eyes grow wider. "What? Getting shy now?", laughed Jeongin, ignoring his fast beating heart. The next thing he felt was Jisungs lips on his own. It should have been a short kiss, ending within seconds but it didn't. The older man let out a satisfied sigh and pulled Jeongin into his arms. Meanwhile Jeongins hands found their ways towards Jisung's cheeks. Oh how much he loved Jisung's soft cheeks. The latter one pushed Jeongin back. He stumbled against the sofa. Jisung pressed him down on the sofa and then sat down on the younger man's lap.
"You hung up the mistletoe, didn't you?", asked Jeongin breathy after he drew back a bit, a knowing smile on his lips. Jisungs cheeks turned red but he tried to look innocent.
"Maybe…", he muttered. "But just maybe." Jeongin's lips escaped a high laugh as he shook his head.
"You could have just asked me for a kiss."
"But you would never have allowed me to kiss you otherwise", explained Jisung and slid down from Jeongin's lap. For a second Jeongin stayed silent.
"You are an exception, Hyung." With wide eyes Jisung stared at him, heat rising in his cheeks.
"So you would kiss me if I ask for one?"
"Always", whispered Jeongin and leaned in a bit. Suddenly Jisung hugged him again and pulled him even closer.
"Please kiss me." With a smile the younger man placed his lips at the other man's lips.
"I could kiss you all the time", whispered Jisung between kisses.
"You can have that all the time", Jeongin replied with a smile.
"It's good that I hung up that mistletoe." A laugh escaped Jeongins lips and leaned in against Jisung's shoulder.
"Yeah that was a good but also stupid idea."
"Did you just call me stupid?"
"I'm sorry, hyung", Jeongin giggled and pressed a short kiss in the older man's cheek. Jisung let out a small sigh.
"Luckily you, I like you so much."
"Luckily me", muttered Jeongin with a soft smile. "Just so you know, I like you too."
