It was a quiet Sunday in the blue team dorm as Diana was all by herself, or at least for now as she deftly prepared the room. Making sure there would be enough tea and small delectables for her and Barbara.
While she would have no problem preparing more for the rest of their collective friends it was made clear long before this day that they had other plans - even Hannah would be absent for most of the day. Not that Diana minded either way, as it just meant she could spend more alone time between her and Barbara.
After all, this was an exciting day for Barbara as today a new Nightfall volume would arrive for her. And though Diana wasn’t a big fan nor understood the series completely it did not stop her from letting her girlfriend fan her interest to her.
Barbara already suffers from being too much of a follower at times. An unhealthy trait that caused her to agree to whatever Diana or Hannah would say despite her own opinions. That’s why it was important for Barbara to express herself and be encouraged, who knows what would have happened to their relationship had Barbara never crawled out of her shell?
But it was a good thing her friends were soon to notice it, and showing that regardless of her opinions they would always remain close. One of these ways was to have a little tea party of sorts, mostly between Diana and Barbara where the latter would be at the head.
While she was shy and nervous at first Diana would look with a small smile as every time Barbara became a little more daring. Until now where the moment she walks in she can’t help but run her mouth off at the books she holds so dearly.
And Diana would listen intently. Just amazed at how far Barbara’s knowledge stretched, not to forget it was quite precious and adorable to see her ramble on. So much so that they both forget about their tea at times.
So much so that one day they ended up falling in love.
As Diana was reminiscing however the door clicked open, and Diana didn’t need to turn to know Barbara already had that starry look in her eyes as she held a blue book that weighed like a rock - not that Barbara seemed to have any problems.
Diana sat down on the couch and patted the spot next to her. Within seconds Barbara sat next to her. While Diana opened her mouth to trigger the floodgates she led herself to get swept in every time willingly.
“So Barbara, where did we leave off last time?”
