Work Text:
The holiday season is in full swing at the Avenger's compound. Every inch of the building is decorated, both inside and out, with lights, garland, wreaths, and everything else that one could imagine. Festive music plays inside while the scent of pine and fresh baked cookies drift through the air.
In the spirit of the holidays, a few members of the team decided to go shopping for presents, including Thor. While most of them accomplished their goals and found some perfect presents, Thor found something a little more interesting - an Elf on the Shelf. From the second he laid his eyes on the little elf sitting in his box, he decided that nothing could stop him from bringing it home.
As they arrive back to the compound, Thor prances inside while clinging to the box housing his elf.
"Whatcha' got there, Thor?" Peter asks curiously, trying to figure out what is in the box clutched in his arms.
"I've acquired us a scout elf, young Peter!" Thor exclaims as he turns the box around and holds it out for Peter to see. "He will watch over us this holiday season and make sure that we are all worthy of being included on the nice list!"
"Oooh, an elf on the shelf! I always wanted one of those," Peter says, matching Thor's excitement.
Steve tilts his head in confusion before asking, "What is an elf on the shelf?"
"The little elf watches during the day to make sure we are all behaving," Thor explains as he props the flap of the box open and points to the elf behind the plastic. "Once we have all gone to sleep he will travel to the North Pole and inform Father Christmas of our behavior."
"And when we wake up he will be back in a new spot," Peter adds.
"But it just looks like a doll," Steve says.
"He may look like a toy, but he is alive and full of magic! The book he is accompanied by will fully explain the whole concept" Thor says.
While he is skeptical of the idea, Steve doesn't want to discourage their imaginative thinking. So he just nods, pretending to understand.
Clint on the other hand, laughs before saying, "You're not being serious, right? You can't possibly believe that."
"Ah, Barton! I am indeed completely serious!" Thor says. "When Loki and I were children, we had something similar back on Asgard. An elf would visit us each morning during the holiday season and hide sweets somewhere in the palace if we were well behaved the day before. If we were naughty, he would bring us a rock instead."
"Oh! Like how Santa brings the naughty kids coal?" Peter asks.
"No, no, no," Thor says as he shakes his head. "Coal would have been useful; we could have used coal in our stoves. The rocks had no purpose other than to signify our bad behavior."
He pauses for a moment before adding, "Well, I suppose Loki did find a use for them. He would save his rocks and then wake up early to find the sweets before me, then he would steal mine and leave one of the rocks in place of the sweets. Once we went to find what the elf had brought us, I would wrongly think that I had been naughty. Mother caught on eventually though, and after that he would just throw them at me."
Loki looks up from his book and smirks as he says, "It was all in good fun, brother."
"Yes, I'm sure it was for you," Thor says as he side eyes Loki.
Tony walks over and gestures to Thor and Peter as he says, "Aren't the two of you a little old for this?"
"Too old?" Thor gasps. "Nonsense! One is never too old to partake in the magic of Christmas!"
"Yeah, Mr. Stark! You're just worried the elf is gonna tell Santa to put you on the naughty list," Peter teases, a cheeky smile on his face.
"Can't put me somewhere I already am, kid," Tony quips back, causing Peter to playfully roll his eyes
Wanda interrupts their banter to say, "I think the elf sounds fun. You said there was a book with him, Thor. Why don't you read it to us?"
"That's a great idea," Scott says as he sets his bags down and goes to join the others on the couch. "It will give us all a better understanding of the little guy."
"Ah, of course!" Thor exclaims before pulling the book out, leaving the box with the elf to sit on the coffee table.
With the book in hand, he settles down next to Peter and clears his throat to gain the attention of everyone else. Once he is satisfied that all attention is on him, he begins the story.
All of the Avengers remain quiet as they listen to Thor's telling of the story. Even Bucky and Loki humor him by paying attention.
After several minutes, they reach the final page. "Until then I wish every girl and each boy a Christmas of peace and a year full of joy," Thor finishes before closing the book.
"I think that pretty much explains it all, don't you guys?" Natasha asks. Her voice is soft, but she has a look in her eyes that dares them to disagree.
A collective chorus of "mhm" and nods fill the room, except for Clint who says, "I still think- ow!"
He is interrupted by Natasha jabbing her elbow into his side, which shuts him up.
The next question comes from Bruce, who asks, "What are you going to name him?"
Thor furrows his eyebrows in thought as he tries to come up with a name for his new friend.
"How about Nick, like Saint Nick?" Sam suggests.
"No," Thor mumbles as he continues to think.
"You could go with something cute, like Crinkle," Pietro says, earning a disapproving head shake from Thor.
Vision makes the next suggestion. "Perhaps you would like to select a traditional elf name that is inspired by a classic holiday film, such as Buddy or Kirby."
These suggestions are met by another "no."
Before anyone else can offer any other names for him to dismiss, Thor stands up excitedly and exclaims, "Karl! His name shall be Karl!"
"Ooh Karl! I love it!" Peter says, once again matching Thor's enthusiasm.
Tony purses his lips for a moment, but then nods. "Karl... odd choice, but it kinda fits."
The others give their comments of approval at the choice of name, all agreeing that it seems like a good fit.
Once the chatter dies down, Thor says, "We must leave little Karl here in his box without bothering him for the rest of the day. Tonight while we slumber he will choose where he shall sit first."
Thor starts to walk out of the living room, but turns to add something before leaving. "Remember, the book says we mustn't touch Karl! Or else he will lose his magic," he says. He then turns back around and leaves the room.
Once he is sure that Thor is out of earshot, Steve says, "I still don't understand how the elf moves. Is it really magical?"
"Yeah Steve," Bucky says as he rolls his eyes. "The stuffed elf can do magic."
"It is just a doll, Rogers. Parents get them to blackmail their kiddos into being good for a whole month, since they think that the elf is a 'spy' for Santa," Tony explains, making air quotes over the word spy.
"It doesn't move, parents move it," he continues. His eyes then widen as he turns to look at Peter. "Shit. I didn't just spoil the fantasy for you, did I?"
Peter laughs before saying, "I know how it works, Mr. Stark. But Thor really believes it, and I think we should play along for him."
"We could take turns moving it," Natasha suggests.
"I'd totally take a turn," Scott says. "And it would be fun to see where everyone else puts him!"
"I think it's stupid that a thousand and some year old god thinks that some kiddie toy is real, but I'm down to mess with him," Clint says.
"My brother may be a fool, but I do not believe that this is far off. As he said, we did have holiday elves in Asgard," Loki says to Clint. He then looks towards the elf as a mischievous smile spreads across his face. "I wouldn't mind a turn at hiding the elf."
"Guess that settles it! We have a magical elf, as far as Blondie is concerned at least," Tony says.
"This is going to be so much fun!" Peter exclaims. "Who is going to move him first?"
"I can do it," Wanda offers with a smile.
"Perfect! Just remember, we can't let Thor see us moving Karl," Peter says.
Tony nods before saying, "F.R.I.D.A.Y. can help with that."
By the end of the night, a calendar had been drawn up assigning everybody a day or two to move Karl the elf. Tony also set up a new protocol regarding Thor with F.R.I.D.A.Y. She was to alert whoever was in charge of elf duty each night when Thor went to sleep. That way they would know when it was safe to move Karl without getting caught.
A little after midnight, Wanda gets the alert from F.R.I.D.A.Y. about Thor being asleep. So she heads out of her room and back down to the living room to move Karl to his first spot.
She spent some time earlier looking at some ideas online, and decided on one that involved using flour to make snow angels with the elf.
When she gets to the living room, she carefully removes Karl from his box on the coffee table and takes him to the kitchen. The scene is easy to set up; all she has to do is sprinkle some flour down on the counter, lay the elf in it, and move his arms and legs to make the snow angel.
Once she is happy with how it looks, she leaves him there for Thor to find in the morning and heads off to bed.
-
By the time Thor wakes up, most of the team is already awake and eating breakfast. They had complimented Wanda on her cute setup, and were eager to see what Thor thought.
Thor heads into the kitchen, going straight past the counter with the elf in favor of grabbing a box of strawberry Pop-Tarts. As he turns around to use the toaster, he notices Karl.
Dropping his box of toaster pastries on the counter, he exclaims, "Look! Our friend Karl has moved!" He grins as he leans down to be eye level with the elf, and then gestures the others over to see.
Everyone slowly starts to shuffle over to show their interest as Thor admires the elf.
"Well I'll be damned," Clint says, putting on an act of surprise. "He really is magical."
Peter stands next to Thor and admires Karl with him as he says, "He's making a snow angel!"
"Snow angel? More like a mess! The little shit better not make a habit of messing up my kitchen," Tony says, trying to suppress a smile as he steals a pinch of flour and tosses it at Peter's head.
"Like you would ever have to clean it up anyway," Natasha says as she comes over to dust the flour out of Peter's hair.
"Plus, you're the one who is making a mess," Peter says, gesturing to the the white dust that now covers the floor.
Tony gasps before turning to look at Karl. "You heard that sass, right? Make sure the big guy hears about it," he says as he winks and clicks his tongue.
Peter laughs, happy to see Tony getting into the fun. Even if it is at his own expense.
Once they've all finished talking about the elf, the day goes on as usual. Karl's presence is no bother, everybody just takes a little extra caution not to bump him when they are in the kitchen. At least while Thor is around.
Later that night, Peter excuses himself off to bed a little earlier than usual. Tonight is his turn to move Karl, and he has some preparations to tend to while he waits for Thor to go to sleep.
He spends the next two hours hand cutting as many paper snowflakes as he can. Big ones, little ones, classic ones, fancy ones - he makes them all.
By the time F.R.I.D.A.Y. lets him know that Thor is sleeping, he has several hundred snowflakes ready to go. He carefully gathers them all up in a bag before grabbing his web shooters and going to retrieve Karl from the kitchen.
In the kitchen, he picks Karl up from the counter. After shaking the flour off of him, he heads back to the hallway leading to the bedrooms.
"F.R.I.D.A.Y, warn me if Thor wakes up, please," Peter says quietly as he sets his supplies down on the floor.
"Will do, Peter," F.R.I.D.A.Y. replies.
After whispering a quick "thank you" to the AI, Peter gets to work using his webs to string the snowflakes he had made throughout the entire hallway.
It takes some time to get them all up, but when he is done it looks like a lovely winter wonderland. The last thing to do is pose Karl.
Setting him carefully down on the floor in a sitting position, Peter then places one of his web shooters in the elf's lap. To finish it off, he places a pair of scissors, some of the extra bits of paper, and a few of the smaller snowflakes on the ground next to him.
He steps back to admire his work, yawning as he does so. Satisfied and sleepy, he goes back to his room and snuggles into bed for some well deserved rest.
-
A squeal wakes everyone who was still sleeping the next morning as Thor discovers the hallway of snowflakes.
Peter pokes his head out of his room after hearing the noise to find Thor happily admiring the snowflakes and complementing Karl on his decorating.
"Peter!" Thor says when he notices him. "Karl has borrowed your webs to transform our hall into a fantastic snowy forest! I do hope he hasn't upset you."
"Upset me? No way!" Peter exclaims as he walks out of his room to take a better look, despite being the one responsible for it. "This is awesome! He can borrow my web shooters any time to do something like this!"
Sam and Bucky, who had also made their way out into the hallway, have to hold back their laughter as they listen to the kid compliment his own work.
"It's very festive," Bucky says.
Sam nods in agreement. "Festive indeed! Nice work, Karl," he says while giving Peter a wink.
Peter smiles, happy that his efforts are being well received.
Throughout the rest of the day, people go in and out of the hallway just to admire the new decorations. It had been agreed that they would definitely be staying up for the duration of the holidays, as it would be a shame to just take them down. Especially when everyone was enjoying them so much.
That night, Loki is the one on elf duty. He had come up with his idea the moment he found out they would be moving the elf themselves. And he was excited to mess with his brother.
As soon as F.R.I.D.A.Y. gives him the okay, he grabs a little box with candies in it that he tagged with the names of everybody in the compound.
He grabs Karl from the hallway after leaving his room and brings him to the living room. Wanting to set him in a not as obvious spot, he decides on placing him on one of the bookshelves that are off to the side.
Once Karl is placed, he lines up all of the candies around him, making sure that the name tags are all visible. Finally, he uses his magic to make the wrappers of Thor and Tony's candy look like rocks, just like a naughty child would get on Asgard.
While he would never admit it to anyone, he loved getting the chance to mess with his brother over such childish things once again. He couldn't wait to see the initial look of horror on Thor's face when he saw that the elf thought he was naughty.
Not wanting to miss his reaction, he heads off to bed so that he can wake up early. That way, he could be out in the living room before Thor.
-
Loki stirs as the sun comes up, and promptly gets up out of bed. Usually he would lounge around and read in his room for awhile after waking, but today he takes his book and settles in the living room. It would probably would be several hours until Thor got up, but he wanted to be ready.
Only one other early riser passes through as he bides the time with his reading.
"Morning," Steve greets as he heads into the kitchen to get water for his morning run.
"Good morning," Loki replies, not bothering to look up from his book.
Steve observes him for a moment before saying, "You're not usually out here this early. What's the occasion?"
Loki looks up and nods his head in the direction of the bookcase.
Following his glance, Steve's eyes land on Karl. "Ah," he says before going over to see how the elf had been placed.
His eyes narrow as he looks at the set up, realizing the significance of it. "Candy and rocks, like the story about when you were kids... aw, I don't think Thor deserves a rock. That's kinda mean."
"It's only an illusion, Captain," Loki says with a smirk. "The rock is still candy. It is merely meant to get a ruse out of my brother for just a moment before he realizes." He pauses before adding, "It's funny."
"Whatever you say," Steve shrugs as he returns to the kitchen to grab the bottle of water he had placed on the counter. He then heads out for his run, leaving Loki to continue reading on his own.
A little while later, people start to flood into the room as they wake up. They all greet Loki and check out Karl with mixed reactions. Bruce, Wanda, and Peter find it a little mean, while Tony and Clint find it hilarious.
Finally, Thor comes strolling in. He scans the room, obviously hoping to find Karl. It takes him a minute, but eventually he spots him sitting on the bookshelf.
Loki watches out of the corner of his eye as Thor happily goes over to the shelf to see what his elf is up to.
"It seems that Karl has embraced the Asgardian tradition of bringing candy to those who are good!" Thor exclaims as he finds the candies. His eyes then settle on the rock with his name on it, and his face falls. "Oh. It appears that he has brought rocks as well, and I seem to be the recipient of one."
"That can't be right," Pietro says as he zips over to Thor's side. "I can see why Stark would receive a rock, but you?"
"Not to worry, young Maximoff," Thor says as he tries to hide the look of disappointment on his face. "I will except the judgement I have been given and work to fix it by Christmas Day."
Loki gets up from the couch to join them by Karl. He remembers this being funnier when they were kids, but seeing his brother's disappointment makes him feel bad. So he sighs before waving his hand over the rock with Thor's name and makes it look like candy again.
A grin takes over Thor's face as he realizes that it was just a trick. "Apparently some things never change, Brother!" He considers his words before adding, "Well, you never would have revealed your tricks back when we were children. So I suppose that bit has changed."
Loki waves the comment off as he plucks his candy off the shelf and goes to sit back down.
"Hey, what about mine? Mine's still a rock," Tony complains as everyone laughs.
"I think yours is actually meant to be that way," Clint says.
Loki shrugs whiling hiding a smile. Tony could figure out on his own that it was still chocolate.
-
The elf shenanigans continue on throughout the following days. Each person looks forward to having their turn, all hoping to out do the others.
One day Thor finds Karl floating on a tiny pool raft in his bathtub, the next he finds him toilet papering the tree. Another day he finds him doing a science experiment making fake snow, leaving Bruce's lab filled with the stuff.
It takes the whole team over an hour to find him on the day that Scott shrinks him and poses him in the Christmas village. Thor was starting to panic that he hadn't come back up until they found him.
For the first night of Hanukkah, he ends up sitting next to the menorah with two tiny presents for Wanda and Pietro. This made Thor happy to see his elf friend participating in more than just Christmas!
It was now only four days until Christmas, meaning only four more days of moving Karl.
Steve was on elf duty for today, and he had a fun idea planned. He had the perk of being capable of moving Mjölnir, and he was going to take advantage of it.
After receiving the alert that Thor had fallen asleep, he quietly sneaks into his room and steals Mjölnir from his bedside table. He freezes as Thor rolls over in bed, mumbling something incoherent. Thankfully, he remains asleep and doesn't notice Steve's presence.
Before that can change, Steve tiptoes back through the door, shutting it as softly as possible on his way out. With the hammer in hand, he goes to retrieve Karl before heading into the kitchen.
He places Mjölnir and Karl down on the kitchen table before retrieving a bag he had stashed away in a cabinet earlier. The bag contains a strand of garland, ornaments, and a small star.
After positioning Mjölnir in the center of the table, he decorates it like a tree. When he is done, it is wrapped up in the garland with ornaments hanging off, and finished off with a star on the top of the handle. He then poses the elf next to the decorated hammer with a note that says, "Thought this could be more festive! Hope you don't mind! xoxo Karl."
Steve nods at his work, happy with the result, before retreating to his room.
-
When Thor finds Karl the next morning, his jaw drops. After taking in the sight for a moment, his expression turns into a wide smile as he throws his arms in the air and exclaims, "Yes! He is worthy! Karl is worthy of lifting Mjölnir!"
"Your hammer must have lowered its standards," Tony says. "I betcha that means I can lift it now too!"
This comment leads to the bi-yearly game of 'who can lift Mjölnir'. Which ends the same way it always does, of course. With Steve and Vision being the only other two able to lift the hammer.
"Sorry Stark," Thor grins as he fixes the star on top of the handle. "It seems that our little friend Karl is just worthy!"
Tony rolls his eyes, mumbling something about it not being fair as he leaves to go tinker in his lab.
Later in the day, Rhodey comes over to take part in the Christmas movie marathon they were getting ready to have.
As he stands in the kitchen sampling Scott's freshly baked chocolate chip cookies with Peter, he notices the elf sitting on the table. He takes the few steps over to the table and curiously reads the note as he finishes the cookie in his hand.
After reading the note, he asks, "Who the hell is Karl? And what is this all about?"
"Karl is our scout elf," Peter answers, his mouth full of cookie.
Thor overhears this from his spot on the couch, and gets up to join the conversation. "Our friend Karl keeps an eye on us for Father Christmas, all while changing spots throughout our home each day," he says.
Rhodey gives him a look that says "you've got to be kidding me," before turning to look at Karl again.
"You're trying to tell me that you not only have a creepy elf doll, but he moves? Yeah right," he says sarcastically as he reaches his hand out towards the elf.
Time seems to slow as Peter, Scott, and Thor watch his hand stretch towards Karl.
"Rhodey, no!"
"No! Don't touch him!"
"NOOOO!"
Their shouts are no use; by the time they reach Rhodey's ears he already has Karl in his hand.
Thor stares at him in horror as his eyes start to well up with tears.
Rhodey narrows his eyes at the drama as he asks in an annoyed tone, "Uh, what's the big deal?"
The horror on Thor's face turns to sadness as the tears start to fall. "Now he'll have no magic," is all he says before running out of the room.
Tony walks in just in time to see Thor run out, prompting him to ask, "Um, what's going on in here?" His eyes then go to the elf in Rhodey's hand. "Oh great."
"What exactly did I do?" Rhodey asks, irritated by the overreaction to him picking up a doll.
"I think you just killed Blondie's elf," Tony says as he walks over.
"What the hell does that mean? You can't kill a doll, Tony," Rhodey says.
Peter shakes his head sadly. "If you touch a scout elf it loses its magic."
"Come on, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard," Rhodey says with a huff.
"It's not stupid to Thor," Scott says, throwing him a disapproving look. He then turns to Peter and asks, "Isn't there anyway to make Thor think his magic is okay?"
"I don't know," Peter says with a frown.
"What if Rhodes writes an apology letter to Santa?" Tony suggests, his voice completely serious. "And he asks nicely for Santa to restore Karl's magic?"
"If you think I'm going to-" Rhodey starts, but he gets interrupted.
"It's either that or an apology video with tears," Tony says before turning back to Peter and waiting for an answer to his idea.
"That oughta do it!" Peter says. "I'll go tell Thor!"
The next half hour is spent with Peter consoling Thor and convincing him that everything will be okay, while Tony forces Rhodey to write an apology to Santa and Karl.
That night, they leave the letter next to Karl. It is Natasha's night, so she writes a lovely letter from Santa saying that he accepted the apology and brought Karl back to the North Pole to recharge his magic. Although because of this, Karl would have to stay there for a day, but he would be back tomorrow.
She places the letter where Karl had sat, and takes him to her room to keep him hidden.
In the morning, Thor is satisfied with this. He is sad to miss out on a day of Karl not being there, especially with it being so close to Christmas, but he is happy that his magic can be fixed.
Karl returns after his 'trip to the North Pole' good as new the next day, and all is well.
-
It is finally Christmas Eve. The little scout elf reminds everybody of this from his spot on the mantle, with a big sign saying, "Only one more day until Christmas!"
Most of the team is busy with the usual last minute preparations, like wrapping presents or making final batches of cookies. Tony, on the other hand, is busy doing last minute work in his lab.
He had enthusiastically claimed elf duty for the final day, Christmas, back when they drew up the schedule. No one thought anything of it. But little did they know, he had big plans.
Tony wanted the elf to be a touch more interactive on Christmas Day, so he had been working on an elf sized Iron Man suit that he could use to control him.
One would think that a tiny suit would make for less work, but that was the opposite of true. All the tiny parts had to be perfectly placed so that they worked right.
He had thought of asking Scott to shrink an existing suit, but it would have been too small. So instead, he built one from scratch.
So here he sits, putting the finishing touches on it. Programming it just right. Not only would it put a smile on the face of the God of Thunder, but it would also put Tony in first place for set up of the elf.
Once he places the final screw, he uses the controls he programmed to test fly it. And it works perfectly. Why wouldn't it though? Who would expect anything less from Tony Stark?
With his project finished, he sets it aside and then heads up to the living area to enjoy Christmas Eve with the rest of the team.
The festivities last until nearly 1am. By then, people start to trickle to their rooms to go to sleep. After setting out a plate of cookies and a glass of milk for Santa with Peter, Thor finally heads off to bed.
Tony doesn't wait for F.R.I.D.A.Y.'s alert, instead asking her to inform him if Thor left his room. But knowing that Thor anticipated Santa Claus, he didn't think that he would come back out.
After grabbing Karl from the mantle, he brings him to his lab to put the suit on him. He does a quick test run with Karl in the suit before taking him back to the living room and sitting him next to the Christmas countdown blocks, which he changes from one to zero.
With Karl in place, he goes off to help Natasha and Scott pile presents under the Christmas tree.
-
Much like small children, Thor and Peter are the first to wake on Christmas morning. They meet in the hallway before rushing to the living room, pausing to admire the tree full of presents as soon as they lay eyes on it.
Unable to wait for the others to wake up on their own, they take in upon themselves to be everyone's alarm clock.
It takes a bit longer than they'd like, but eventually they manage to herd everyone into the living room. Once everyone settles down in a comfy spot, the unwrapping begins.
Partway through unwrapping, Thor notices Karl in his shiny new suit. He points him out to the others while saying, "Look! It seems our friend Karl got a present as well!"
Peter laughs when he sees the Iron Man suit on the elf. "Maybe that will make his trip back to the North Pole a little quicker!"
"And warmer!" Thor adds, before snatching another present from under the tree and going back to opening gifts.
With a family the size of the Avengers, opening presents takes awhile. By the time every present has been torn open, the floor is covered in paper, bows, and ribbons.
Despite the unwrapping being over, everyone is still occupied and happy. Some check out their gifts, while others toss the wrapping paper around and at each other. With no one looking, Tony decides that it is the perfect time to give the command to activate Karl's suit.
At the press of a button on his phone, the elf moves from a sitting position to a standing one before starting to hover in the air. It doesn't take long for Thor to notice, exclaiming, "KARL IS MOVING!"
This gets everyone's attention, and they all watch as Karl flies towards them before pausing midair. He gives a little wave before a high pitched voice comes from the suit, saying, "Merry Christmas! See you next year!"
With that, he flies out the window and into the snowy sky.
Thor jumps up from the ground and rushes to the window, waving wildly as he says, "Bye Karl! I will miss you!"
Several others follow him to do the same, as Tony tries to hide his smile from his place on the couch.
"The voice was a nice touch," Natasha says quietly as she sits next to Tony. "Nice job. These past couple weeks have made Thor really happy."
"Don't get all sappy on me now," Tony says, waving off her words before grinning. "I totally outdid all of you, ya know."
Natasha shakes her head and laughs softly. "I'd agree, but I wouldn't want to inflate your ego."
"I'll take that as a compliment," Tony says with a chuckle as the rest of the team starts to come back over.
Mostly everyone returns to their spots on the floor or couch, except for Scott and Wanda who head to the kitchen to start breakfast.
After settling back into his pile of papers on the floor, Thor says, "This is the best Christmas ever!"
The rest of the team can't help but agree. While Thor didn't see what went on behind the scenes, it had been a wonderful experience. Moving the elf was fun for everyone.
And they couldn't wait to do it again next year.
