Chaise Longue

Summary:

Katara was bored. Her husband was busy reading. What else was there for her to do other than fantasise?

Work Text:

Katara watched him as he raised his fingers to his lips, wetting his fingertips before flicking to the next page in whatever book he was reading today. The fire crackled close behind the pair, Aang lounged in a - or, his -  armchair, and Katara quite comfortably rested on her front, her chin in the palms of her hands. At first, she was kind of uncomfortable, but the longer she watched him doing absolutely nothing except take his time scanning his eyes across the pages, his ankle resting on his knee in such a masculine manner, the more comfortable she found herself. Her eyes hadn’t left her husband since she took her place on the maroon chaise longue, but his eyes never left the book, a delicate frown indicating sheer concentration. The spirits only knew what he had gotten himself engrossed in this time, he was forever finding something new and endearing to read from their library.

However, the mind often drifts during quiet times like this, and drift it did in the waterbenders case.

She was determined not to give anything away with her expression, but she couldn’t guarantee that he wouldn’t see right through her facade if he looked. Aang knew her better than anyone else, she was nearly sure he would catch on. In all honesty, she hoped he did. Her thoughts were racing. Though one pushed to the forefront and seemed to be quickly turning into a fantasy of hers -- they’d never done it on a chaise longue before…

A side-eyed glance was the first time he had acknowledged her presence this whole time, and it was only for a second. A tinge of embarrassment tinted her cheeks with a rosy hue as she realised upon catching his smirk that her jaw had been hanging open, though she didn’t let her gaze falter despite it all. The woman was so concentrated on him that the slightest change in expression on his face wouldn’t - couldn't - go unnoticed by her. And so of course she noticed how his eyebrows raised, just by a fraction, and he looked at her again - this time it was a lingering gaze that he subjected her to, his grey orbs focused hard on hers... and that's when he noticed something himself: the slightest trace of mischief swimming in her eyes. It was a look he knew too well, subtle as it was, and he loved it. It had been too long since he had seen that look (only two days, to be exact). So, with the slightest of movements, he closed the book with one hand and set it aside, never looking away from her lustful gaze.

Adrenaline coursed through her veins, her muscles tensing to get her ready to move because she knew exactly what happened next.

“What are you thinking about?” Came as a husky whisper from his lips, seemingly obeying the rules of the library contrary to the fact they were completely alone. With hawk eyes, Katara caught how he planted his feet on the ground from her peripheral, like he was ready to jump when she said so. Just how she liked it.

The woman got up onto her knees, hands pressing hard into the fabric of the seat as she leaned forward with a smirk tugging at her lips. “Why don't you guess?” She purred back. Aang was pleased with that answer and so he smiled at her (and at himself), willing to play along if that's what she wanted. Katara was many things, and right now she was devious.

“Hmmm...” He pretended to think with a strong hand resting at his chin, playing along to please her. He would always please her, first and foremost. “You’re thinking that I look extremely handsome in this light.” He chuckled, and of course, she bit back a smile.

“Well, there's no doubt about that. You do,” The woman agreed, reaching across the small gap to lift her hand to his face, her fingertips light against his jaw, tracing lightly to his chin. Her husband's mouth parted when her fingertips drew close to his plump lower lip, but she pulled her hand back with a playful smirk, sitting back on her knees, hands innocently laying on her thighs. “but I'm afraid you're wrong, sweetie. That's not all I'm thinking about.” She breathed seductively with a heavy-lidded gaze that did nothing but draw the Avatar in like a siren's call. And he was so obvious, his eyes drifting over her features and finally landing on her lips, particularly the bottom one that was now trapped between her teeth. Oh, how he would like to bite that lip for her.

“Then, you’re thinking about us.” The man rasped, sending a chill down the woman's spine. She nodded.

“Doing...?” She urged him to continue, enjoying this little game she'd started, but then he was standing up, her eyes following his muscular body as it drew ever closer. So close she was forced to tip her head back, just to be subjected to his hungry gaze from above, Aang towering over her now. Sometimes she forgot how much taller he was than her. The imbalance of power between them only spiked her arousal. To be reminded of who he was, the sheer strength... it made Katara's loins burn with desire.

The Avatar smirked, lifting a large hand to cup the side of her jaw softly.

But that was the softest he would be with her today.

“I think it would be better if I just showed you.”

Notes:

Another short one! Just a little glimpse into a quiet night with my favourite couple hehe (FYI I put this as teen and up since no profanity is used and all the sexy-time stuff is implied, so, pretty tame!)

Thanks for reading! Don't be shy to tell me what you think in the comments! <3
