Summary
It probably wasn't very Air Nomad of him to be this attached. The monks had warned against it, but they weren't here—Katara was. And for all Aang had sacrificed to the world, she was the one thing he refused to let go of.

Summary
If life has taught Katara anything, it is that the more powerful a man becomes, the less he sees women as people and the more he sees them as possessions. So when she leaves her tribe for one final year of freedom in Republic City before returning home to become the wife of some very important man, she fully intends to keep her head down. Study the subject she never even liked. Survive the most boring internship on the planet. Do exactly what is expected of her.
What she doesn’t expect, however, is to meet a man who looks at her like he wants to understand what’s hiding beneath all her carefully built walls. Someone who carries the same weight of imposed expectations and suffocating responsibilities behind his smile. Someone who somehow sees the real her anyway. Her cute chatterbox.
Her Kuzon.
OR
Katara spent her whole life learning to fear powerful men. Aang has no idea how to tell her he’s actually the most powerful man in the world. Secret Identity AU.

Summary
“I’m almost done! It’s just one sleeve!”
“No, Baba!”
“Are you losing an argument to our one-year-old son again?”
Aang turned to see Katara watching the two of them from bed, her voice only lightly touched by sleep. The look in her eyes was pure love.
“I’m not losing, I’m—yes.”
Now that Bumi is over a year old, Katara and Aang decide it's high time they took a trip to the South Pole to properly introduce him to the rest of his family.
Everything goes perfectly to plan. All Aang has to do is stop imagining the many different ways a rambunctious toddler could fall off a flying bison.

“My girlfriend,” Aang concurred, smiling down at her.
Aang and his friends visit the Imperial City to check on Zuko's budding attempts at cultural reform. Aang is thrilled with the progress. Katara is trying to be.
When a familiar face from Aang's past waltzes back into his life, Katara finds herself grappling with feelings she is far from eager to name.
She isn't jealous. She refuses to be jealous.
