Reign (With Me)

Summary:

Katsuki swishes his tail idly, glaring down at the feeble humans who run through the streets, chased by demon dogs and hellhounds, who snap at their ankles and cackle like hyenas as the human's blubber and sob, trying to escape the hounds. He watches demons and hounds alike hunt down the humans who try to fight them with feeble guns and machinery that does nothing to them.

He finds no remorse in his body for the people who took him when he was but a babe, snatching him from his now-deceased dam and sire's hands after finding a way to breach hell.

They had taken him as a specimen, just another project they'd hope to succeed, after all the other demon babes they had taken had died off. The humans who took him rivaled a greed demon's greediness. It makes him want to explode, to reign even more hell on this decimated planet. The once lush plains of Japan were now crackling with hell flames, slowly eating away at the natural beauty of Japan.

They didn't deserve such a beautiful world, these greedy humans.

Work Text:

Katsuki swishes his tail idly, glaring down at the feeble humans who run through the streets, chased by demon dogs and hellhounds, who snap at their ankles and cackle like hyenas as the human's blubber and sob, trying to escape the hounds. Eventually, the pack of hounds takes the humans down, cackling and whooping as they tear them apart, feasting on their withering souls and the negative energy that warps and tumbles around their dying bodies.

Katsuki can feel the energy his hounds snap and devour run through his body, allowing the bioluminescent veins running through his pale, thick skin and ribbed horns to glow a dangerous, blistering orange. The demon, who sits on a throne forged from blackstone native to hell, stares down at the decimated world, slowly being taken over by hell.

It was disgusting—it made Katsuki's nose curl even now.

Looking back on those torturous years, having different chemicals pumped into his body to see what would happen to him, he cringes. It makes his teeth grind, and his powers shift and crawl under his skin. It makes him want to explode, to reign even more hell on this decimated planet. The once lush plains of Japan were now crackling with hell flames, slowly eating away at the natural beauty of Japan.

They didn't deserve such a beautiful world, these greedy humans.

Though, now that Katsuki is reminiscing on those awful memories, he does remember soft, gentle ones.

He remembers that after a practically awful experiment, he had been deposited in his cage to regenerate on his own time. His weak, withering body wasn't regenerating as quickly as he wanted, and Katsuki had sobbed into the thin, scarce blankets he had been given, fearing he would die. To wither away, forgotten by the parents and family he never knew, in a stupid fucking lab that used him purely for greedy, monetary gain.

But then, the door to his room - cage - was opened gently, as he was scooped into warm, unforgetful arms. The touch of that scientist was something Katsuki would never forget. He would never forget being cradled to a soft, warm chest, held so securely. He would never forget the warmth of that gentle, pure soul washing over Katsuki's weak, quivering body. He would never forget the soft, whispered words playing in his mind. He'll never forget the soft, delicate hands that wiped away his acidic tears, barely wincing as the acid in Katsuki's tears fizzled on his skin.

He'll never forget the scientist who snuck him food - chocolates, candy, popcorn, and his favorite; mapo tofu. Even now, he loves the taste of mapo tofu, how the spices coated his tongue and tastebuds, and how it made his stomach and throat burn in the best way.

It reminds him of home.

Katsuki growled to himself, shaking his head to bat away the thoughts. He didn't have time to get all soft and mushy—he had shit to do. He had people to banish to the seven circles of hell—he had people to ruin.

-

Izuku sobs gently, fearing for his life. Blood dribbles sluggishly down from his nose, blackened and bruised. His ex-coworkers, people he's known for years, glare at him, their forms quivering. Everyone was on edge, and Izuku didn't blame them. He, too, couldn't quell the shaking of his fingers and the rattling of his heart thundering away in his chest. He was as scared as the next person.

"This is all your fucking fault, Midoriya!" One hisses in a whisper, shoving his quivering, bloodied form around the small gas station they had taken refuge in. Izuku coughs, a trickle of blood running down his mouth as he curls in on himself. "You just had to be kind to the demon that took over our fucking country!" Another spits at him, and Izuku chokes a sob. He wishes to defend Kacchan, the sweet demon who would light up like a lightbulb when he sees him. Kacchan would never do this, but well...

He did. The demon that led the troops of demons and hounds that ravaged the entirety of Japan was unmistakenly his sweet, gentle Kacchan. The demon who cackled and roared his fury as he sent his hounds to devour souls and tear people to shreds on the once quiet, peaceful streets of Japan. That shock of flaxen blond hair whipping in the ember-filled wind, that dangerous smirk, and those burning red eyes that glowed in mad satisfaction were no doubt his Kacchan.

He didn't know how the boy he set free less than two years ago came back a dangerous man.

"We should have fucking known it was you who let that damn abomination go! You're too fucking soft to be in this goddamn field!" Another screams, not watching their volume, too blinded by festering rage. "Should have kicked you out years ago, you fucking useless scientist! You are a disgrace to the science world!" Izuku belts a sob as he's kicked once more, curling deeper in on himself to keep his organs and head safe, tears and blood mixing as they slide down his face. The mean words hurled at him pierce deeper than the kicks and shoves his body is subjected to.

Ah, he wants this to end already.

"Get them! These are the ones -- w-s loo- for-!" Izuku's mind slowly buzzes, and his ears fill with cotton—coughing weakly as he succumbs to the unconsciousness clawing at his ankles and circling his beaten body.

-

"Have you found them?" Katsuki drawls, lounging on his throne, glaring at the guards who sweat under his dangerous, scathing glare. "Yes, sir. We've retrieved the scientists," One says, and both salute as Katsuki nods. They move in unison as they step aside, allowing Katsuki to stare down at the people who tortured him for years. Who used his fragile body for their twisted, disgusting research. Their faces were painted black and blue, roughened up by his guards. To think feeble humans could try and weaponize the demonic race.

What idiots.

Katsuki rumbles deep in his chest, glaring at the scientists who whimper and cough, their bodies starting to crawl with the consequences of their greed. Black spores and pulsating veins throb on pale skin, exposed to hell's air as the disease flourishes. Even a voracious greed demon would cringe and skitter away from the waves of greed rolling off the pathetic shit stains on their knees before him. "Pathetic," Katsuki crunches his nose up at the smell of fear that wafts into his nose. Katsuki stands, taking a few steps till he closes the distance between them.

Squatting down, Katsuki grins, eyes glowing as his tongue - thick, long, and drooling saliva - lolls out of his mouth, rows of serrated teeth on view, bands of saliva stringing from his teeth. "I love it. Your fear, it tastes like shit, but, ah~," Katsuki grins as he laves his tongue over the lead scientist's cheek, the woman whimpering and sobbing gently. Her tears taste like pop rocks, crackling on his tongue. "It lets me grow more and more powerful," Katsuki retracts his tongue, taking a big gulp as a black gelatinous orb drops onto his tongue. The tip of his tongue, dripping muted black saliva, curls around the orb, securing it as he swallows it down.

"Your fear always fed me, no matter how you starved me," Katsuki rumbles, his tail flicking.

"Take them to my personal chamber, starve them and give them minimal water. They can starve the way I did," Katsuki stands and walks away, returning to his throne as he watches his guards teleport the group out.

(Katsuki swears, as he watches the guards teleport the group away, he catches a hint of green.

He plays it up to his mind playing tricks on him. He wouldn't be stupid enough to stick around after helping him escape, would he?

No, he reasons, that's impossible.)

-

Katsuki cackles as he watches the scientists sob and scream, stuffed with rotting, feral souls unable to find a place in the underworld. With greed and excitement, he watched the feral soul try to take over the scientist's body, claw-tipped imprints of hands bending the man's skin until the man stills before keeling over. He was dead before he hit the ground. Katsuki grunts as he steps back as blood and soul sludge drips and leaks from the man's face, glaring at the mess staining his flooring.

"Well, whose next?" Katsuki grunts as the corpse catch aflame with hell flame, the flames cool to the touch, but the fire quickly eats away at the corpse till nothing is left. "W-Wait! Please, we have a proposition!" One squeaks, scuttling back as Katsuki takes a step forward, raising a single blond brow. "Oh?" Katsuki grunts, swishing his tail. "Do tell,"

"W-We'll give you one of ours—you can do whatever you want with him—just let us go!" They squeak, and Katsuki grunts. "Who?" Katsuki watches as they shuffle around, and suddenly a limp, bloodied body is thrown forward with as much strength as the remaining five can muster. The body rolls and tumbles, bumping against his feet. Katsuki raises an eyebrow, flicking his bored carmine eyes down toward his feet, where the body rests against the tops of his feet.

His stomach drops.

Deku.

//"My name? Oh, It's Midoriya Izuku! But you can call me Deku—all my friends do!" Midoriya - Deku - gives a cheery smile to the emaciated, tired demon child, who stares up at him with wide, sunken eyes.

"...what kinda name is 'Deku'?"

"I-It's a nickname!"//

Deku lays at his feet, face swollen, sunken in, bloodied, and bruised. His face is painted black and blue, and fuck.

It makes Katsuki rage. He leans down to pick Deku up, cradling the unconscious scientist in his arms, the man's body as light as a feather. Deku fits perfectly in his arms, and the man's head leans against his shoulder. Katsuki peeks up from Deku's bloodied face, unable to watch blood sluggishly run down Deku's face, too black and blue to make out those beautiful starry freckles.

"Y-You can have him! Torture, kill, hurt him! Please, we didn't do anything to deserve this-" They sputter, and Katsuki growls. It's a rough, tumultuous sound, shaking his diaphragm, making Deku's body twinge in his hold. "You dare put your hands on my future queen and think you can get away with it?" Katsuki snarls—the veins under his pale, thick skin glow the same color as magma, running up his curling horns, painting them in a burning orange hue. "Die." Katsuki seethes and watches with rapt attention as their heads suddenly balloon, pulsing and groaning as their cranium expands until they pop like an overfilled balloon. It sends blood and sludge everywhere, but Katsuki pulls a forcefield up.

"Scum of the damn earth," Katsuki spits, teleporting away as Deku glows a soft green in his arms, the black and blue replaced with freckled skin.

"You will never hurt again, my queen,"

(Katsuki kills the guards who dare place their dirty, unworthy hands on his queen, exploding their frail bodies where they stand.)

-

"K-Kacchan?" Izuku whispers, staring up at the demon who hovers over him. "My dear queen, you've finally awakened. How do you feel?" Kacchan whispers, and Izuku squeaks, flushing gently at how close the demon is. "F-Fine-" Izuku squeaked and was gently pulled until he was settled into the blond's lap, making him flush deeper as he pressed against a chiseled chest. "Good, I'm glad," Kacchan coos, and Izuku's eyes nearly bulge out of his face as he realizes Katsuki is covered in blood, spattered across his pale, scarred skin.

"W-Wha-" Before he can speak more, his lips are sealed in a heavy, chilling kiss. Kacchan pulls back as Izuku blubbers and sputters. "My queen, you needn't worry. You'll be safe, I promise. You'll stay by my side and rule hell with me. I'll dress you in lavish silk and feed you all the food you want, my queen. " Izuku can do nothing more than blink gently before huffing.

("Deku! When I get outta here, I'm takin' you as my queen! We'll rule the underworld together! Side by side!" A stary-eyed Katsuki proudly states, settling his fists on his hips as Izuku giggles.

"But, dear Kacchan, I'm a human!"

"Arrghhh! Stop overthinking, shitty nerd! You'll be my queen! If they protest, I'll beat them up!"

Kacchan puffs up as Izuku giggles.

"Promise?"

"Promise! A demon's promise, we never go back on our word!")

Guess he never did.
