Summary
Leila has ruled the Night Court with Rigel for two years, and the pair have made massive progress improving the toxic culture of the fae. As Leila's star rises, however, unknown shadows seek to take her down. When an attack against her partially succeeds in his absence, Rigel dedicates himself to hunting down the fae who tried to kill his wife.
Unfortunately, the spell used on Leila has some nefarious lingering effects...and if Rigel can't resolve them, it's entirely possible the Leila he knows will never return to him again. With preparations for a Summit with the European Fae in full swing, and plenty of sharks circling in the water, it's a race against time to become an assassin hunter, figure out who ordered the contract, and regain the only person he's ever loved.
Part One of a Two part series, born from the idea "what if Rigel had to woo Leila?" Written for NaNoWriMo; Edited in Dec. Most scenes from Rigel's POV.
