   Summary

   The story begins during ME3, When Miranda comes out of hiding and contacts Shepard for the first time.

   Commander J. Shepard:
   Fierce, loyal, formidable, stoic & unstoppable.
   She has saved the galaxy and beyond a countless number of times.
   She will do whatever it takes to get the job done. She is a conduit for nations around the galaxy. A safe tool. The people cry for help; Shepard is sure to answer.
   This has been her way of life for as long as she can remember.

   During the suicide mission of entering the Omega 4 Relay to stop the Collectors, Shepard had lost some of her friends along the way and the trauma had bastardised her to no point of return- resulting in her dubiously ending things with Liara in order to protect her and hardening her heart further in the process.
   Shepard swore she would never let anyone in again. She vowed that she would never lose anyone again. Even at the expense of her own life.
   Nothing would obstruct her way of thinking ever again.
   And then Shepard intercepted a message from someone she never thought she would never see or hear from again. And for the second time in Commander J. Shepard's whole life,

   her heart was exhumed.
