   Summary

   The Shire has always been a place of peace and ease. The gentle, rolling hills were abundant with life and foliage. For generations, hobbits have enjoyed a quiet, prosperous life within its pastures. They were quite content with their lot, glad to spend their days farming, tending animals, and eating the hours away. Nothing made a hobbit happier than an uneventful life. Well most hobbits, anyway. Some, though rare and strange indeed, crave a life of meaning. Some dream of adventure and excitement. Some, though even rarer still, decide to act upon those desires. This is the tale of one such hobbit.
