Fischl was dead.
On what would’ve been an uneventful Tuesday evening the up and coming rising author Fischl was caught in a hit and run and was declared dead at 11:53 in Favonius Hospital.
Amy Lee Moore was a 19 year old rising author who had recently made her debut under the pen name Fischl had shaken the novel world with her series “Midnight Phantasmagoria!!”. Her debut series quickly rose to popularity amongst teen and young adult audiences due to its fantastical themes and complex world. A graphic novel adaptation soon followed, being illustrated by Moore herself.
Fans adored her sense of humor and her complex systems of magic and monsters. Having allegedly entered a deal with Wolfhook Pictures, fans had been excitedly anticipating an animated adaptation. Feeding the fan’s ever growing excitement, Moore came to publish the third book and revealed a pivotal plot twist that could change the entire outcome of the cold battle between the protagonist and her mysterious nemesis. This amassed a massive audience for the young author and what looked like a bright start to her career.
This would all come to a screeching halt when on Tuesday June 3rd, 2023, Moore was driving back to her apartment after fetching groceries when she was caught in a hit and run by a drunk 20 year old Thomas Mortan. Mortan was leaving the bar after celebrating his promotion when he sped 20 over the speed limit running multiple red lights and inevitably crashing into Moore’s car. Dash cam footage showed how Mortan paused in hesitation before speeding away. Morton’s trial is currently in progress. Mortan has since revealed how he was a massive fan of Moore’s works and how absolutely devastated and guilty he feels over this event.
“I am so, so sorry to everyone who also holds Midnight Phantasmagoria close to their heart like me. I can’t even start to process what the hell I fucking did and the sheer weight of this.
I took her life.
I love her works with all my heart and I don’t know how I would’ve survived this long without her stories to look forward to every few months. I had been this fucking close on giving up last year when I couldn’t find a job and could barely scrape by. I didn’t think that I would be able to make it to next year, let alone the next day when I would try to go and find a job again. Eventually I hit my lowest point when I found out that I didn’t have enough to pay for this month’s rent. I just couldn’t fucking do it any more. Everyone else that I knew had moved away and had a nice job, a house, and the start of a beautiful family.
And me?
I was about to be thrown on the streets with nothing but the shirt on my back from high school. I gave up and picked a time. I was supposed to end it that day before midnight. I left my mom a message to say how I loved her, I walked around the park, I went into the local library, and that’s when I found the first novel of “Midnight Phantasmagoria!! “ Before I knew it, I was already halfway through and couldn’t wait for the ending. It was well past midnight when I finished and had completely forgotten what I wanted to do that night. I didn’t know much, but I did know that I wanted to read what happened next. Things slowly got better for me. It was hard but I made it through in the end. It’s silly for me to say but these books saved me.
And I just killed the author,”
Fans are divided on how to feel about Morton’s words. He went on to clarify that he tells us this not to give us a sob story to shorten his sentence, but to show how he was also just as devastated as the rest of the fans. Some of the fans feel sympathy for Morton, while others demand a maximum sentence for bringing an end to their favorite person.
Amy Lee Moore was loved by thousands across the nation, and all are dealing with their grief in their own ways. Moore’s funeral will be hosted for the public to attend on Friday June 5th at 5:30 PM at the Favonius cemetery by the Wangsheng funeral parlor. If you do attend we ask for you to be respectful of Moore’s close family and friends as they mourn her death and not to demand any statements or opinions. If you wish to support her family, a fund has been set up in Moore’s memory.
Fischl was dead.
That was obvious, it was all over Bennett’s local news, a fund was set up in his library, and hell he even cried at her funeral. (A closed casket of course since her body mangled a bit grotesquely to the point where it would be a bad idea to show others.)
Fischl was very, very sufficiently dead so why is there a blonde author looking figure hanging upside down from his ceiling with a striking resemblance to the very dead Fischl?
