Alpine watched her human carefully. He was asleep, his chest rhythmically moving up and down. It was time. She smacked his face with precision, her claw against his nose.
Bucky the Human woke up and let out a string of curses. Then he spotted Alpine and sighed.
"Did you need anything baby girl?" he asked.
Of course Alpine did. It was time for her food. Surely her human had to possess this knowledge. She tilted her head towards the kitchen with an annoyed look.
"Right," her human said.
He got up and made her food. Alpine was a happy cat.
