She remembers when she first found Millie, curled up in the rain, mewling pathetically as she shivered. Enna didn't knew what prompted her to pick up the golden and black cat, but she knew that no furry creature belong under the harsh rain. She was surprised to find the cat being obedient, and not trying to bite her finger off like other cats she met (for she is a bird, so they probably smell food instead of friend)
So imagine to her surprise when she came home one day and found a blonde haired woman in an oversized hoodie she recognized as hers, with the same cat ears and tail as well as the green collar she gave to her cat. Enna would've smacked the living shit out of her if Millie had not immediately admitted she was a demon. Her human form sealed behind magic and could only revert back as a human if someone made a contract with her
"I don't remember making a contract with you" Enna growled as Millie pointed at her collar, "you gave me a name and an item for me to keep, that's enough for us to seal a contract" she explained, "I don't remember agreeing to this" she scowled and Millie sighed, "the moment you give us a name, we assumed you agreed to make a contract with us, the only way for you to back out is if we don't see each other for a week"
"Then you can leave" Enna said, already by the door and holding it open, "you're so mean ! Come on, what's wrong with contracting a demon when you're a falle— AH !!!" Millie yelped when thunder striked, as she crouched down, hands covering her cat ears that were pinned to the side of her head. Another thunder was heard and Millie curled up into a ball, "p-please, don't send me back out there" she whimpered with teary eyes
Enna's eyes softened, she felt her heart being tugged by the sight of the crying demon. Messaging her temples, the cream haired woman sighed, "fine" she said, closing the door, "under one condition, help me pay rent, and if you prove to be useless, you're out of the door" she spoke, approaching Millie's curled up form, "do we have an agreement ?"
The demon nodded before holding onto Enna when another thunder toared. The woman resisted the urge to shove Millie away from her, she could feel Millie tremble as she grasped onto her. Enna brought a hand up and rubbed the demon's back, "aren't demon's supposed to be evil and mean ?"
"Shut up"
Enna doesn't remember how long they stayed like that, but she remembers how peaceful Millie looked in her arms. She feels a comfortable warmth growing inside of her when she carried the demon onto the sofa and watching her sleep, "cats huh ?" She mumbled
"I guess having a company won't be too bad"

Enna woke up to the feeling of softness on her neck, with a quite mumble she looked down and find her cat blinking at her. Big green eyes staring at her with a small mew, "oh, it was just a dream" Enna mumbled, disappointment growing in her chest before she felt a heavy weight on her bed
"Nope !" Millie exclaimed happily with a flick of her tail, "good morning !" She greeted as Enna got up with a confused look, "huh ?"
"Oh yeah, forgot to tell you I can still turn back if I wanted to" the demon exclaimed, and with a poof she transformed back into her cat form, "I usually use this form if I want to preserve energy"
"Maybe stay that way, you look less annoying" Enna said with a deadpan look on her face
"You're so mean !" Millie pouted, "and after I made breakfast too !"
Enna blinked at her words, "you cook ?" She asked, Millie tilted her head in confusion, "ain't that a necessary skill to survive ? Not like I need to eat, but it's nice to stuff something into your mouth from time to time"
"Mind your phrasings" Enna groaned, getting off her bed, "nothing's wrong with my words" Millie chuckled, Enna sighed, walking away from the bed towards her bathroom door, "whatever, I have work today, you can watch over the house while I'm out. Also, stay away from the fish in the fridge"
"I'm not a cat !"
"You literally are right now"
