Notes:

100 Ships Challenge prompt #3 - Lion

Work Text:

When Buck and Eddie suggested going to the zoo at first, Christopher reluctantly agreed because while they sometimes annoyed him, he loved spending time with both his fathers. However, they wouldn’t stop flirting and he was done. “Oh my God,” he groaned when they stopped to kiss again.

The two men turned to face him. “Are we embarrassing you?” an amused Buck asked him.

“I think we are. Ah, right of passage. Feels right,” Eddie teased. They both ignored Christopher’s glare.

“We’re here to see animals, not to watch you two. Stop.”

“You heard our kid - we need to stop.” Eddie flashed him a grin, and Buck laughed.

“Sorry, kiddo, we’ll try to scale back on the PDA a bit.” That was a lie and they all knew it but at least Christopher didn’t call them out. It was likely still coming, though.

They stopped in front of the lion exhibit, and Christopher’s eyes lit up - they were one of his favorite animals. “I love the zoo,” he murmured before turning around and discovering Buck and Eddie flirting again.

“You like lions?” Buck asked Eddie as one of them roared pretty loudly.

“Maybe. What about you?” Eddie shot back.

Christopher scowled at them after they exchanged a quick kiss. “I hate you both.”

“Aw, our kid hates us. We have to fix this somehow. How about we stop at your favorite restaurant on the way home?”

Buck laughed. “You’re trying to bribe him to get us out of trouble?” He definitely approved.

Christopher continued scowling but nodded. “Fine,” he agreed.

The three of them turned to face the lions once more, giving them their full attention, and Eddie wrapped his arms around his boys. He couldn’t wait to piss their son off and continue flirting with the man he loved.
