Summary
Lo'ak is traumatized by Neteyam's near-death experience and spends all his time taking care of his brother. Aonung still feels guilty for bullying the other boy and getting way over his head. But now that the war was over, they could at least be friendly with each other... It ends up being more than just that, of course.

“Do I have to, like, say something to make you get up?” Aonung’s cheeks were set ablaze in a split second and he was glad that his face was hidden from view. “Yes, t-technically.” His chest grew warm as he heard Lo’ak burst out in laughter. “So, technically I could leave you kneeling forever, right?” The boy’s voice was closer now, right beside Aonung’s ear. Was he toying with him?
The Metkayina recalled how a clan member had knelt for three days straight once until his father had forgiven them for their mistake. Aonung did not want to kneel for three days straight… Unless Lo’ak stayed with him. That would be kind of nice…
_____________
Aonung’s ears twitched when Lo’ak prowled around him like a predator. He didn’t think he could blush harder, but he did. Was he scared? No, he wasn’t scared of Lo’ak. The other boy was the bigger person after all, he wouldn’t actually do anything to Aonung while he couldn’t move. Then a thought sunk in; Aonung hadn’t ever apologized to anyone to this degree before. Not even to his father! This was thrilling.
_____________
Aonung bit his lip and then said softly. “I would like a hug from you.” He was proud of himself that he didn’t stutter once. His entire body, heart, and soul melted when Lo’ak encased him in his thinner arms. Stars aligned, the Ocean roared, Tulkuns sang, and Eywa’s praise rumbled through the weaved pod under his feet. Aonung felt complete, as well as completely smitten. He couldn’t help the sweet sigh he let out when he hugged back.
“You really needed that, didn’t you…” Lo’ak giggled, and the vibration passed from his chest into Aonung’s like a wordless love confession. The young Metkayina would remember this moment forever; remember how his first love’s skin felt against his. Yes, he admits it. Aonung te Awa'atlu Tonowari’itan admits it.
He was in love with Lo’ak.
_____________
Then Tuk chuckled, which Lo’ak was taken aback at. “You’re my favorite-favorite brother, Lo’ak.”He stopped in his tracks and just stared at Tuk. There is no way she means that. How can she like Lo’ak over Neteyam? Maybe over Spider since he spends the least time with her but…
“You don’t talk to me like I’m a baby. Ok, I am a baby... but only in my appearance and not in my head!” Tuk giggled and leaned closer to Lo’ak. “I know sometimes Mom and Dad treat you like a baby too. It hurts, right?”
_____________
“Huh? Who?” He replied without looking up from his blade. Kiri rolled her eyes and hid her face behind a palm before leaning in to whisper once more. “The little hoe who keeps looking at your ass!” This time Lo’ak jerked up violently, looking at Kiri with wild eyes.“What the fuck, Kiri?” He muttered, failing to find more intelligent words.
_____________
A great cheer went up from the crowds. Metkayina adults, teens, and children threw up their fists to applaud the young aspiring warrior who grinned ear to ear, sharp canines put on show. Lo’ak joined in wholeheartedly, disregarding the curious looks of Kiri and Spider. He wanted to be the loudest in the crowd and wanted Aonung to hear him from beyond the others. - chpt 7 damnnnn

Eywa’s sky was bright enough for the two Na’vi teens to see each other as they laughed like silly kids. Leaving the clan behind, they felt like they were getting lost in a little world they shared, both wishing this moment would last forever…

“Will you be my boyfriend?”“…”
Aonung’s first expression was confusion and Lo’ak’s heart sank.
“I’m already your boy friend.” He questioned.
_____________
Kiri started sprinting when she saw the two boys in the distance. It was dark, which on its own wouldn’t be an issue but Lo’ak was in the dark alone with that bitch boy. Aonung better not do anything! What was she kidding? He absolutely would take advantage of the cover of the night away from the village to choke Lo’ak’s skinny ass out. - chpt 8

Kiri caught her brother looking at Aonung with an air of encouragement. Lo’ak was a person who couldn’t say the right things to save his life but he was good at giving looks. He often used his golden eyes to support one of them when they’ve been scolded by Dad and Mom or if they got made fun of again. But that was a Sully family thing, and Aonung wasn’t Sully.

Lo’ak is such a damn flirt omggggg like leave me REALSE ME DAMNNNNNNNNNnnnnnn........ >.<
_____________
Regardless, Neteyam always saw it as a story of maturity, of improvement, and success. He remembered years ago, the first time mother had called Lo’ak a ‘mini-Jake’ in jest, Neteyam had been so envious of his brother that he threw a small hissy fit. Later that night he found Lo’ak crying by the edge of the hammocks as if his brother was ashamed of himself…
