Puss' head slightly jerked back. He didn't mean to, it was his reflexes. His instincts did not like how close Kitty's paws were to his eyes.
Kitty adjusted Puss' head back in place. "Puss, you have to hold still. I can not do this if you won't." She grumbled.
"I am trying ." Puss argued. "I have never done this before, you can not blame me for being a little jumpy."
Kitty didn't respond, instead putting all of her focus into applying Puss' makeup.
Recently, Kitty had told him that she thought eyeliner would match Puss' style, and that she should let him do his make-up.
Puss was not very open to the idea, shooting it down anytime Kitty offered it.
If Puss were to be honest, he quite liked the thought of makeup. He didn't know the first thing about it, no, but he adored how it looked on others. Plus, Kitty seemed to enjoy it, and Puss wasn't one to doubt her judgment.
Even so, he was already treated like a joke for trying to be as fearless as he was while also being a cat, he didn't know what wearing makeup would add to that.
Kitty had insisted he at least give it a shot, that if he didn't like it she would never ask again. After some time, Puss reluctantly agreed.
"Done," Kitty told him. Her voice soft, Puss felt himself relax.
She handed Puss a small shard of glass, her substitute for a proper mirror. "What do you think?"
Puss looked over his eyes closely. The subtle black rings around his eyes complimented his orange fur very well. Puss thought it also added a little flare to his look.
It's just what he needed. "You were right Kitty, it does suit me."
Kitty laughed knowingly. "I knew you would enjoy it."
