Chapter Text
Tommy is walking to his shift at Manifold Cafe. Watching the world pass him by, hearing the cars zoom past, people talking all around him.
Too bad poor Tommy has a closing shift tonight, or else he could enjoy the night a little better. But what’s nice about closing is that it’s less crowded, usually a couple of college students looking for a place to study and grab some food.
Tommy entered the cafe, taking a deep breath because he can already tell today is gonna be a long night. “Tommy, how have you been?” A voice says from behind the counter. “Good, how about you Ranboo?”
Tommy replies. “I’m good, sorry I can’t stay longer but my shift just ended and I have places to be.” Ranboo says. “It’s alright boss man, any orders you are currently working on?” Tommy says in a monotone voice. “ Nope, today has been less busy.” The taller one said in reply. Ranboo walked out the door while Tommy went behind the counter and got on the apron and gloves.

His shift was going smoothly, not a lot of people, which he enjoyed, he couldn't handle busy days. He grabbed one of the sandwiches from the display and started eating it in the break room. Not very eventful but when he got out of the break room it was already closing.
Tommy flipped the sign to closed. He washed the counter tops, he washed some dishes that had been left out. He cleaned the espresso machine and stuffed mints into the bowl by the register. Tommy then walked out the cafe door and locked it.
As Tommy was walking out of the cafe he felt a little unnerved as if someone was watching him. He hated that feeling… He pushed the urge to run deep down and continued walking down the street. He turns around to see the one and only Blade just staring at him as if he was intrigued.
“Uhm, hey big man…!” Tommy says hoping Blade didn’t notice that he is terrified. “Never have I seen an avian around with golden wings.” Blade said in a soft tone while eyeing Tommy’s wings. “Well I’ll guess I’m the first!..” Tommy says, pushing his fear down. “I guess you are.” Blade says chuckling a bit. Tommy chirps in surprise, the nation's biggest villain is right in front of him making small talk with him. Not to mention acting soft.. Something is wrong, definitely wrong. “Gold” Blade mutters hoping the civilian didn’t hear it. Tommy heard it and snickered. Tommy almost forgot he’s a piglin hybrid and is attracted to gold. Blade won’t stop staring at a civilian because he has golden wings and his hair also represents a gold-ish color.
“Gold…?” Tommy says while trying not to laugh at the piglin. “You heard nothing..!”embarrassment laced Blade's
voice when he spoke. “Sorry big man but I have to get home, I have work tomorrow!” Tommy says while crossing the sidewalk. “See you around I guess..” Blade says still sounding embarrassed
Well that was sure something… Tommy thinks while walking up to his apartment complex. He walks up 3 flights of stairs and opens his door. He straight away locks the door and walks to the bathroom he turns on his shower and hops in. The feeling of cold water against sore muscles is relaxing, taking a shower after a long day feels amazing.
After he gets out of the shower he straight away puts in a sweater and sweatpants and lays down in his bed as he slowly drifts asleep.

“Techno how'd the patrol go?” A voice called out from the couch. “Horrible, I embarrassed myself in front of a child.” Techno says words laced with poison. “How so Tech?” Wilbur said “The kid has golden wings, golden hair and my instincts kicked in….” “It was embarrassing he was laughing at me.” Techno said sternly. “Wow a random kid having the balls to laugh at the big bad Blade.” Wilbur said while chuckling. “Leave your brother alone “Wilby” you’ve had more embarrassing encounters with people.” Phill said, mocking his son.
“Technoooo Phill is being mean!!!” Wilbur said making sure to draw out the o in Techno dramatically
“That’s your fault.” Techno told his brother.
