Summary
I've decided to put this fic on hold for a while.
There are things I need to rethink and edit, and my health hasn't been the best. I hope it isn't for long. The absolute loss of consciousness that supposedly comes with death is, surprisingly, not as quiet as he expects. It actually feels like a fall first, a very long fall. Then there’s a sudden lift, as if he has been pulled up with a rope around his chest.
What’s happening? Where is he now? What happened before?
“...what happened? Xingchen?” Xiao Xingchen turns so violently his neck hurts with the movement, and by his side, the usually stoic and calm Song Zichen is looking at him with a worried frown on his face.Or
After slicing his throat open Xiao Xingchen wakes up back in the past, by the time Xue Yang was first captured and taken to the Unclean Realm.
Considering everything he knows about the future that awaits them, he decides to take responsibility and become Xue Yang's keeper before he hurts Song Lan. This is the opportunity Nie Huaisang was waiting for, having developed a method to change the behavior of violent people, he secures Xiao Xingchen's help to test it with Xue Yang as subject.
