Summary
When Soap first lays eyes on Ghost, it's an experience to watch the man emerge from the shadows. The first thing he sees is the pale white of a skull glinting in the lights of the tarmac. Then the shadows and darkness shift, converging to form the mass of the man's body, swathed in black clothes and gear. Steamin' Jesus. There's something about him that just at a glance has Soap feeling pulled in. It's the way Ghost carries himself and his gear, looking larger than life and completely unconcerned with everything and everyone around him. There are stories about the Lieutenant that he usually works solo and has a kill count bigger than...well, you know. He's brilliantly competent in the field too. Soap had figured, based on stories he'd heard, but it's another thing entirely to see the man, the myth, the legend, in action.
