AU. In a world without Voldemort, Draco Malfoy grew up to be something more than he might have otherwise become, and made friends out of would-be enemies. But with or without a Dark Lord to guide them, some of those who would have flocked to Voldemort's banner still carry the same embers of hate in their hearts. And some of those people still see half-bloods like Harry Potter as targets worth going after - collateral damage be damned.
