Summary
“No, not like that,” Levi snaps. Mikasa winces, anticipating a scolding for her naiveté—her lack of experience, she wishes she could hide under a rock for exposing her immaturity. Instead, he sighs through his nose and lightly rotates her face around, analyzing her with a solemn look. “You really are so young,” Levi says softly and Mikasa shrinks fearing he will try to back out again, “but I don’t want this to be a miserable experience for you.” He leans in close, “So not like that,” he breathes against her nose, “like this,” and then he presses his lips to hers.
Mikasa’s new husband is short, mean, and terrifying. He’s missing fingers on his hand and has a ghostly blind eye that unsettles her with every glance. Determined to become comfortable in a new home and ease tensions in her developing marriage, Mikasa proposes a bonding exercise she has heard can bring together a husband and wife.
