    Gorou’s head spun. Every time it felt like he could lift his head he was sorely mistaken. The darkness turned to light as he finally blinked himself awake through what felt like a concussion.

    “General Gorou sir”
    A soldier stood by his side
    “How do you feel”

    Gorou’s heard a loud ringing as he stared blankly out the tent
    “Her- excellency” he swung both feet over the side of the bed

    “Sir you need rest!” The soldier urged

    “Where is she then?”he said forcefully. He could be wrong. She could have bested them and carried him to safety.

    The soldier pursed his lips before saying the painfully obvious truth. “Her excellency… is Missing in action”
