Summary
It's strange that this is one way in which you can still bleed. Your little friends do not spill blood when they burrow into freshly dug passageways, damp and raw-looking, yet not bloodied; but blood rises to meet the edge of the blade as though you are still fully human. You'll heal far faster than you should, once this is over, although you're not entirely certain why you are given such resilience when you know this body rots already.
