Chapter Text
Once upon a time,
There was a powerful king of a great land who fell in love with a beautiful princess from a neighboring country. Both agreed they were meant for each other and so the king travelled to her home to visit her father. However, what was meant to be an engagement was a trap.
He came face to face with kingdom's best wizards.
Enraged and hurt from the betrayal the magic that was supposed to capture the king instead turned him into a weak creature and he disappeared from their eyes never to be seen again.

"Are you sure you don't want to just go through the mirror," Yuu's father had asked.
Yuu nodded his head. "I want to be traditional about this. If other students start thinking I'm a spoiled brat or something I won't like it."
That's how he ended waking up in a coffin hearing a strange voice.
-
Yuu was with Sebek when the coffin showed up. His dad explained the enrollment process but this shouldn't be happening.
"Come on, you stupid coffin!," a strange voice said. "Open up!"
"What the...am I dreaming?," Yuu asked himself.
The voice said," wah! You're not supposed to be awake yet!"
Two blue eyes shined in the coffin and out of instinct Yuu swung a fist out. The coffin seal burst open and some cat looking thing screamed.
"Gwaaah! You nearly took my head off!"
Realizing what he had done Yuu peaked out the coffin and saw multiple robed people staring at him.
"Yuu!"
Dire Crowley, Yuu's father, walked up to him looking upset. "Honestly, I could've enrolled you without the coffin if you had just said you changed your mind."
Yuu held his hands up. "I didn't mean to-he points at the cat thing-the tanuki was in my coffin and scared me!"
Dire looks at the cat thing and frowns. "How did a tanuki get into my son's coffin?"
Yuu can tell what his dad was feeling even with that silly bird mask. Living with him since infancy can do that.
"I ain't no tanuki, I'm Grim!," Grim shouted. "I'm enrolling to become a great magician!"
Everyone in robes laughed. Grim growled.
"I'll show you!"
He blew fire out of his mouth which set the entire ceremony room on fire.
Dire instinctively went to protect Yuu from the flames. A red haired teen stood up and looked at Grim with righteous anger.
"OFF WITH YOUR HEAD."
Some kind collar was on Grim who freaked out. "Hey, get this thing off me!"
The fire disappeared and the red head chased Grim away.
"That was...something," Dire said. "Since Yuu is already out the coffin he might as well go to the mirror."
Yuu nervously stepped in front of the mirror hoping to be entered into a good dorm.
The mirror's face frowned.
"Hmmm. Extremely high magic potential!"
Everyone began murmuring hoping someone with his potential would join their dorm.
"However..."
All of them became quiet.
".... Can't read soul. Can't find a place."
Yuu's eyes widened.
"What do you mean?," Dire asked.
"Can't figure out soul so it's undetermined where he belongs, dipshit," the mirror said.
Seeing the look on his father's face made Yuu snicker which he disguised as a cough.
Dire face palmed. "After all these years-WAIT." He turned to Yuu with a sparkle in his eyes. "There's a vacant dorm near the school building! You can used that, son."
Everyone began murmuring some more.
-
"This place needs some fixing," Yuu said.
Dire sighed. "Look, I know this isn't the best place but you did say you wanted to be in a dorm."
Yuu nodded. "Yeah, I did."
"Oh, YUU." Dire hugged Yuu with tears coming down his face. "You grew up so fast! Your father is so proud and I'm going to miss you scolding me all the time!"
Yuu lightly shoved his dad away. "Dad, please! Not in front of the ghost!"
In front of them were three ghost wearing hats.
"Don't mind us," the fat ghost said.
"We don't want to disrupt such a sweet moment," the skinny one said.
Yuu rolled his eyes. "Dad, we'll be seeing each other everyday. There's no need to freak out about this."
Dire nodded while taking out a handkerchief to wipe his face. "You're right. I just didn't realize how emotional I would get seeing my little chick leave the nest."
"You'll be fine dad and so will I. If anything bad happens I'll call you."
The smallest ghost began tearing up. "Oh great, now I'm getting emotional!"
-
Yuu spent about ten minutes alone when his phone began ringing. It was Sebek. Pressing the green button he kept the phone away from his ear.
"Hello?"
"YUUUUUUUUU."
A small smile formed on Yuu's face. His green haired friend was always so energetic.
"Is it true you're staying at that old dorm near the school building?!," Sebek asked.
Yuu answered," yeah, I'll fix it up to my standards."
Sebek said," of course! Though it saddens me you never entered Diasomania. You would've fit right in."
"Look on the bright side. I'm a dorm leader...well, would be if I had more people in here," Yuu said.
"I'll visit you when I can and-a voice called out to Sebek- WHAT? WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE DISAPPEARED?"
Yuu asked," is everything alright?"
Sebek answered," just peachy! Call you later."
He hung up. Putting his phone away Yuu floated up to a bedroom with a nice looking mirror in it. This will be his bedroom. Yuu picked up the other bed and placed it in one of the empty rooms.
"I'm dorm leader. Like hell I'll have a roommate," he said to himself. His stuff should arrive in the morning. Finding the light switch he lit up the room to see what should go where. "Dad forgot to give me my laptop so I'll have to message my editor."
A ghost went up to his face. "You should get some sleep."
Yuu sighed. Maybe he should. Tomorrow is a big day ahead of him.
