Eating is so troublesome. Why do humans get hungry? If I don't get hungry, then I don't have to eat.
That's what was going on inside the mind of a certain white haired soccer genius as he sleepily dangled from the back of his teammate.
"Come on, Nagi. Don't fall asleep. You're the one who said you were hungry."
"Ah, it's such a pain." He muttered quietly, resting his head on Reo's back.
A sudden laughter coming from the table behind them caught Nagi's attention and he turned around to look; of course, it's team Z.
Quietly, gray eyes studied them. Clearly they're all worn out from today's training regimen so how can they still have so much energy to be chatting and laughing like that? Nagi could never understand.
As Reo ordered their food, Nagi's interest fell on a certain striker with dark hair and yellow underlight. The boy didn't have an ounce of exhaustion in his face as he joked and laughed with his teammate; clearly the most energetic of them all.
Nagi squinted his eyes as they followed the other striker because somehow, he's blinding .
Bachira Meguru, another unique being who lifted team Z's spirit in their match against them when they were on the brink of despair. An amazing player with great dribbling skill, bright and cheerful personality.
That's what Nagi thought of him.
"My eyes hurt." He muttered under his breath.
"It's because you only play games all day." Reo scolded while sitting them both down. "There, eat up."
Nagi's cheek almost immediately landed on the table and he lazily lifted up the cut piece of steak by the fork. "So troublesome." He mumbled, putting the juicy meat in his mouth as he chewed.
However, his eyes kept staring at the particular striker.
Nagi noticed that he's always moving and close to his teammate. At one point, he's snuggling against Isagi or side hugging Chigiri or has his arms around Kuon's Shoulder or clinging on Raichi's back to annoy him.
Expectedly clingy. Nagi added to his observations.
The unexpected happened when Nagi saw Bachira plopping himself on Kunigami's back, his arms around his neck and legs wrapped around the orange haired boy's waist.
Nagi could clearly see the way Bachira hugged his teammate while Kunigami just fondly ruffled his hair.
Watching that scene, one random thought popped into his mind : Ah.. looks like it feels nice.
Instead of finding the clinginess annoying, weirdly, Nagi thought it was endearing.
So, being the curious and straightforward person he is, Nagi got up to his feet after swallowing the second bite of his steak.
"Nagi?" Reo called, surprised at the sudden movements. "Are you going back?"
The white haired teen did not say anything and began to approach the team Z's table.
Upon the unexpected turn of event, the table's chatter quieted down and they looked at Nagi with confusion and curiosity.
"Nagi, you need anything?" Isagi asked.
Again, the genius stayed silent and rounded the table until he reached Bachira who was still on Kunigami's back.
The dark haired boy jumped off Kunigami and landed on the ground before he looked up at Nagi with big, bright yellow orbs. "Nagicchi! 'sup?" He greeted, smiling widely.
Nagi? He felt like he's staring directly at the sun. "Ugh. So bright."
Bachira blinked several times before laughing gleefully but other than that, he stayed quiet; waiting for Nagi to tell how he could help him because the genius did approach him in particular.
After a few seconds of silence, Nagi finally moved in a way that surprised everyone, Bachira included.
The white haired striker unexpectedly parted his arms in front of Bachira.
"...Yes?" Bachira tilted his head slightly in confusion but then again, he wouldn't be Bachira Meguru if he couldn't quickly adapt to absurdity . When he finally understood what Nagi wanted, Bachira, with a slight blush on his cheeks, approached the taller one— Because, really! He is so touchy and clings to people because he wants to and never once did he have anyone asking him directly for a hug or two. So it's safe to say that he's a little embarrassed and a lot happy at Nagi's little request.
He stepped into Nagi's personal space and wrapped his arms around the taller boy's waist, pulling out a gasp from everyone in the room which got louder when Nagi hugged him back.
To no one's surprise, it feels as good as it looks. To be hugged by Bachira Meguru.
"So comfortable." Nagi mumbled, chin resting on top of black hair and the shorter one giggled in response.
"This is pretty surprising coming from you, Nagicchi."
"You'll make a great pillow." Nagi said. "I know. Sleep in our room tonight."
Again, Bachira laughed amidst the fuss everyone was making due to Nagi's invitation.
"Fine by me!"
"Bachira!?" Isagi looked at his friend like he's grown another head.
"Yay. Let's go. I'm so sleepy." Nagi cheered flatly before pushing Bachira along with him.
"Wait, Nagi!" Reo shouted, stopping him.
"Is it a no? Then I'll sleep in team Z's room."
"That's not the problem! Besides, we don't know if it's allowed."
Nagi paused and looked at his teammate for a moment before he pulled Bachira to the closest long table. "Then we can sleep here."
"Hah!?"
"... I take it back." The white haired boy said quickly. The table is nowhere near comfortable, after all and he wanted to sleep comfortably in his bed with Bachira to add on the level of comfort. It'd be pointless if he sleeps in the dining area.
"We'll deal with it later, then." Nagi said and pulled Bachira again, now to the direction of team V's room.
"Oi, Nagi!!"
"Ugh, so noisy." Nagi said nonchalantly while dragging Bachira, who was shaking with laughter, along with him.
"Nagicchi, you're actually super interesting!"
"And there they go." Kunigami commented once the pair disappeared from their sights.
"That Nagi." Reo could only sigh in defeat.
"Well," Isagi started, facing the other two from team V. "Just an information : Bachira sleeps wildly and you have to wake him up in the morning."
A hand fell on his shoulder and Isagi looked back to see Chigiri. "You're really quick at adapting, aren't you?"
"At least we don't have to wake Bachira up for a day." Kunigami shrugged.
"Well, we'll keep that in mind." Reo said and they greeted each other good night before retreating to their own room with team Z missing one of its personnel.
"By the way, Isagi. You didn't tell them about that ." Kunigami said.
"Neither did you." Isagi responded with a smirk. "It'll be a surprise for them."
Yes, it's something only team Z knows; That waking Bachira up is a disaster and 10 out of 10 times, you'll receive a kick to the face.
