Ace didn't know where it went wrong. The world government had somehow gotten their hands on his family tree...the wrong one. He looked again at the absurdity that was written on this piece of paper. It was on the fucking front paper of the news. Everyone was going to read this and assume it's true. What the fuck was he supposed to do now?
The headline read 'The revolutionary Monkey D. Dragon's family revealed!' with the following text.
A grand discovery has been made. The government has finely figured out the family tree of the most wanted man alive! The revolutionary Dragon!
His father is the marine hero Monkey D. Garp, the man who captured the famous pirate king, Gold Roger, and put him to justice! It's almost unbelievable that the hero of the marines has a son that is so against his believes.
His wife was a woman named Portgas D. Rouge. She was a woman that lived on Baterilla. Luckily this woman is no longer alive, but the she died in childbirth. This meant she had a child, even worse multiple children with this criminal. Lucky for us, those children have been identified and found.
The oldest child is Portgas D. Ace, the second division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates! He was the former captain of the Spade pirates and the first known person to ever decline an invitation of the government to become a warlord. It seems like he followed his father's footsteps into criminality. He has also chosen his mothers last name instead of his fathers to avoid suspicion, but it all ended in failure. Our great government discovered it after all.
His second son is chief of staff of the revolutionary army, Portgas D. Sabo! He is the fraternal twin of Portgas D. Ace. As you can see, he got the coloring from his mother. Sabo actually followed his father's footsteps and became a revolutionary. He is the next in line, should something happen to Dragon. A son of a criminal will always be a true criminal at heart.
Dragon's youngest son is the famous super rookie, Monkey D. Luffy! He is the captain of the Strawhat pirates. He is known for cause trouble and terrorizing innocent helpless civilians everywhere he goes. He is completely insane and even declared war on the government, just like is father!

There was a full page full of this bullshit. He had so much trouble taking this in. He didn't even know where to start. There were so many things wrong with this. The first one being that his mom and Dragon weren't a couple. Like no, just no.
There was even a picture of his mom. Even he didn't have one! There was also one with him, Sabo and Luffy when they were younger. It was taking in the Gray terminal and all three of their faces were clearly visible.
Speaking about pictures. There was a picture of Sabo. Adult Fucking Sabo. He didn't know if he was his Sabo or not, but they looked so much alike. This person could be a Sabo from Ace's imagination. Well, if Sabo ever got to grow up. Here he was, in the fucking news.
He knew that the revolutionary's ship had been spotted by Dawn Island around the time the celestial dragon came by. So, if someone had to have rescued Sabo, it would have been them, but for it to be actually true. He almost didn't believe his eyes. Ooh, he was going to find him and kick his ass seven years into the past. The asshole didn't even inform him that he was alive.
Not to mention that the article says that he, Ace himself, was a son of Dragon. He didn't know if that made his dad situation worse or better. People are now gonna assume that he is Dragon's son, not Roger's, but he didn't think that it would matter much when the execution came.
Shit! The whitebeards would also read the article. He knew that most of them probably already had, especially with their commander on the front page. He was sure that they were going to ask questions. What was he supposed to say! 'No sorry, the paper is wrong. I'm Gold Roger's son instead. No worries!' Yeah no. That wasn't happening.
...Wait a second. Ace quickly searched for the wanted posters. His bounty had risen to 700.000 Belli! He looked at Sabo's and Luffy's wanted poster. Sabo had risen to 650.000 Belli and Luffy's to 400.000 Belli.
He was at a loss. He didn't know what to do.
Should he go to pops with this?
Yeah, probably. They could sort it out. Yeah, everything would turn out fine. Now he just needed to figure out how to get to pops without being spotted.

Sabo didn't know what he was looking at. It was his job to know what was happening around the world, so reading the news was nothing new, but now. He was having a hard time just reading this. How did the government find this out? How did the government know this much about him? How did the government even come to this absurd conclusion?
Even more important was that information itself. He knew that it had a possibility for it now to be true.
If it was true, he was going to show Dragon a new one. They had said that he was a noble! Not the fucking son of his boss. The article even said that he had brothers. There was photo evidence of him knowing his said brothers!
He probably wouldn't have believed this shit if there wasn't a resemblance, but there was. He had the same style hair as Ace and Rouge's. He has Rouge's green eyes and blond hair. He had the same round eyes and face as Luffy and Garp. Ace and Dragon have the same eyes. Luffy has Dragon's flat hair. Ace has Rouge's freckles. Sabo and Ace were almost the same height and have similar body types.
He could see the resemblance. He gripped the news paper harder. He slammed the door open and stormed towards Dragon's office. Everyone he met on the way stayed clear of their obviously enraged second in command. Sabo also slammed the door to Dragon's office open. "You have three second to explain yourself."
"It's not true. I only have one son and that's Luffy. He was raised in Dawn Island so the probability of you knowing him was there, just like Portgas D. Ace. We did find you in High town and it didn't seem like you had any friends outside your home. There is the photo evidence that you did know both boys, but I don't know the relation that you have. Because Luffy has my last name and Ace is a D. They must have come to the conclusion that they are brothers. Also, because they know that you knew them and that you are my chief of staff made you another victim of this misunderstanding." Dragon explained calmly. Or at least he looked calm.
Sabo had to take a few seconds to breath and take it all in. ‘’Okay, what about the uncanny resemblance?’’
‘’I don’t know how to explain that. I don’t think you boys look that much alike at all. At least not enough to be blood related. The world government wouldn’t have cared about that. They were probably just happy that they came to this wrong conclusion and then wanted to brag about it. Maybe they wanted to turn the public’s attention and therefor bounty hunters after you guys. There is also the possibility that after the whole Enies Lobby event they need something to get their reputation up again and gain faith. As a bonus does this also explain of avert the attention away from what happened at Enies Lobby to this supposed family tree. Now this will be everything the people talk about instead of their defeat at Enies Lobby.’’
‘’Okay.’’ Sabo could see the logic in this. But still, he knew Ace and Luffy. He knew them. Something was uncovered from his past and he didn’t know how to feel about it. It felt important to him. The picture felt like a good picture, a good memory. There was also this growing headache.
He needed to sit down for a moment. After he had accepted the reality with what he had been represented he was going the need to decide what he was going to do about this mess.

Nami was the first one who read the paper. These days it was more important than ever to know what was going on in the world. After they had rescued Robin, the talk about Enies Lobby hadn’t winded down yet. In every new newspaper a new detail about what had happened or how many casualties or some speculation had been talked about. They had gotten new wanted posters too.
What she saw was news alright. She read the whole thing trice, before speaking up about it. Her reaction so shocked that the whole crew seemed to have their attention to her in a second.
‘’What is it Nami?” Ussop asked.
‘Well uh, the government exposed Luffy’s family. They talk about Garp, Dragon, Ace and Luffy’s second brother who’s, like Dragon, in the Revolutionary army.
‘’Eh, you have another brother Luffy?’’ Zoro asked as he walked over to Nami to look at the newspaper. ‘’Some blond guy named Sabo?’’
When Zoro mentioned Sabo’s name Luffy froze. ‘’What?’’ The newspaper had been grabbed by a stretched hand in seconds.
It took Luffy a few minutes to read the article. It didn’t take much longer than that for him to start crying, which startled the whole crew. The number of times Luffy cried could be counted on a few fingers. This wasn’t the funny crying or not getting meat from Sanji crying. This was serious.
‘’Oi, what’s wrong?’’ Sanji, with the rest of the crew ran up to Luffy’s side.
Between sobs Luffy somehow managed to talk. ‘’Sabo. We thought he had died. He got shot, but he’s alive! I’m going to find him and…and…I don’t know, but I’m going to do something. I’ll kick anyone’s ass if they get in the way.’’
