Kunikuzushi blinked his eyes open, taking in where he was. He was in bed, not his bed though. Kuni was laying in his dear Ajax’s bed. He looked up at Ajax, who was still sound asleep.
His eyes searched around for a clock on the walls. There was an alarm clock on the nightstand next to him. He rubbed and widen his eyes so the time could come in focus with his vision. 06:53.
He immediately shot up from the bed, startling Ajax from his sleep causing him to wake up.
“Babe… what happened?” he groaned, rubbing his eyes.
“We need to get ready for uni!” He said with a hint of panic in his voice.
He hated going university late, he valued his education unlike the certain someone in the room.
“Oh shoot, right.. uh” Ajax realised they might miss the early train.
“Get ready, quick!” Kuni exclaimed.
Kuni opened Ajax’s drawer and searched for a shirt and pants. He took something fairly decent and put them on. He quickly brushed his teeth while Ajax was in the kitchen making toast for them both.
“HURRY UP.” Kuni shouted with annoyance in his voice.
“Okay jeez!” Ajax threw the knife in the sink and passed a toast to Kuni. They slid their shoes on and left the house.
They ran to the bus station hurriedly. They made it just when the bus came. They got on quickly and sat in the first vacant seats they saw.
“What’s the time???” Kuni asked.
“07:24”
“Alright..”
And thank the archons they made it intime for the train, but they did arrive school a bit later
than usual.
The late bell rung and Ajax quickly pecked a kiss on Kuni’s cheek and they went separately to their lecture halls.
Kuni entered his lecture and people were still entering so he wasn’t as late as he thought. Although his best friend Mona was sitting there, arms crossed, clearly waiting for Kuni.
“Took you long enough!” She blurted as Kuni settles next to her “You said you’d come to my house so we could come together you liar! You took so long that I WALKED to your place and your mother said you were at Ajax’s house! So I left without you.”
Oh crap.
“Look, I’m sorry, I didn’t come home after uni yesterday and I guess I forgot to tell you..” Kuni sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.
“Fine, but tell me next time ok?” She said.
He stuck a thumbs up at her with a goofy smile and she chuckled. He rolled his eyes jokingly and stifled a laugh.
A very long hour later the bell rung and they got a 15 minute break before their next lecture. As they were leaving, Kuni’s phone buzzed in his pocket. He reaches in his pocket and pulls his phone out and looks at the notification.

2 new messages from: Ajax ❤️
He clicks on the notification and sees a selfie of Ajax and his 2 friends, Zhongli and Diluc. Ajax was smiling, showing all his teeth, and behind him Diluc and Zhongli were looking at Diluc’s phone.
Under the picture was message saying:
Where are you? Wanna grab a snack from the canteen with us?
“Hey Mona, wanna grab a snack from the canteen? We have time before our next lecture.” Kuni asked, nudging her with his elbow.
“Sure, can Fischl come with?”
“Alright.”
