My name is Sara Ryder. I work for the Initiative. It's very tiring work, but I have three friends that make life easier and harder sometimes. I love coming home and seeing their faces. Let me present them to you.
As soon as I open the door to my quarters in the Tempest, little Jaal welcomes me home. He is the youngest kitty I have and the most excited to see me. I love how his eyes shine when I arrive.
Evfra meows at me from the distance. Oh! "Thank you for acknowledging me this time!" He scoffs and turns to observe SAM's tiny module. He is mystified by it.
Now, where is Akksul? "Akksul? Here kitty kitty..." He never comes when I call him. But I have a suspicion where he might be. I glance at the bed and my suspicion is confirmed. "There you are!" Right in between my two pillows, a couple of sparkly eyes gleam. Always observing, always vigilant from the shadows. I remove the pillows and I'm greeted by a glaring kitty.
As soon as I put him on my lap and pet him, his tiny purring motor begins to work. Then the others come and cuddle against me, purring and meowing loudly. These are my kitties, very different, very sparkly, but I love them all the same, just as I know they love me.
