There was always a noticeable difference when Chrissy had been around her parents. She shifted from a bubbly whirlwind, loud and bright enough to rival Robin, into something entirely different. She folded in on herself, made every attempt to make herself smaller, unnoticeable.
Robin watched as she arrived home, shoulders slumped and feet dragging along the floor, as if simply picking up her feet was too much to bear.
