Belos died in Luz's arms that night.
And along with him...
She.
She refused herself to accept the truth.
Seeing the small body of Luz lying on the cold, hard ground made her feel weak, terrified, lost.
She walked towards her with wobbly steps, her head spinning over and over and over again.
Amity took her in her arms, feeling the soft but cold skin of her lover.
"Luz." She swallowed. "Sweet potato, wake up. I'm here Luz."
Her voice was faltering with every word she said. The lump in her throat grew stronger as she moved closer to her chest, searching for her heartbeat.
She was really gone.
"No... No, no, no, please NO!"
Tears ran down her cheeks, shaking her head from side to side. She rubbed Luz's cheek, trying to revive her.
It was useless.
Camila moved closer as she hugged herself stopping the bleeding from her own arm. Looking at Amity on the ground in front of her.
She was confused, why didn't Luz got up?
"A-Amity?"
Her eyes turned white when she heard the little girl's sob, she didn't understand. She didn't want to notice.
She knelt down next to her, looked at Amity and she handed Luz into her arms.
Her face had fresh scratches from where small drops of blood dripped, around her eyes it was darker and deeper. She had a worryingly sized bruise on her forehead. His skin was cold.
The fear invaded her, leaving Luz on the floor again while she leaned on her chest allowing her to listen... but she didn't hear anything.
She pulled away immediately, her eyes roaming all over her body. With what little strength she had, she let out "mija...?" And the tears came out.
Camila took her by the shoulders and began to move her, then moved to her chest to begin CPR.
It was too late.
Amity couldn't see any change, she continued with that cold expression on her face, she didn't say anything. Didn't say anything more.

She opened her eyes, realizing in a place with black and white distortions that replaced the clouds in the sky. It seemed that they were drawn to something, which she could not find.
The pain of a moment had moved away from her body, her head no longer throbbed and there was no trace of blood on her clothes. She looked at her hands looking for any injuries and luckily there weren't any.
Something caught her eye in front of her. Looking up, ahe met young Philip.
Or what was left of him.
He didn't say anything, didn't move, just stared back at her in pain and doom. His eyes were half closed and his hair was moving through the air.
She took herself into a battle pose, she was prepared to fight him again, she knew that Philip was not a man to sit idly by but the time for the fight never came.
Instead, the young man turned on his own axis, turning his back and walked away from her, walking to an endless place.
What is this? Where did he go? Where am I?
The lights around her were gone in the blink of an eye. She was now in the last place she remembered, in front of the owl house.
She was glad to be there, a smile appeared. She was back home, with Eda, King, and Hooty.
Wait, what about Amity?
She turned slowly in search of her friends, and she stopped just as she saw them kneeling in a circle, as if searching for something. She approached slowly and tried to take her little friend Gus's shoulder showing him a warm smile, but her hand went through his shoulder, as if an illusion.
She took a step back.
She also tried it with Hunter's shoulder and the same thing happened. She, confused, approached again to see the reason why they didn't see her, and she realized that her own body was in the arms of her mother, while she cried inconsolably along with the other children.
She died.
I'm dead.
Memories of her last breath came back to her mind.
When facing off against Belos, she pierced the opponent's body with her large and powerful staff while one of Belos's rotten grass daggers had pierced her abdomen. When Philip's body exploded, she fell to the ground without exerting any force. It did hurt a lot, she didn't try to stop anything, just muttered "I...did it." And she vanished.
Her friends were far enough away to say goodbye.
She came back to herself, hearing the loud panicked screams of her girlfriend. Amity was now hugging her on the floor. She made her way through her friends to get to her.
She crouched down next to her and caressed her face.
"Amity... my love."
Amity's eyes turned white. She had felt something caress her face, she was afraid.
"You're all gonna be fine... I'm fine, I managed to fulfill my promise to the Boiling Islands. Now nothing is going to deprive you of that freedom that should always have." Tears filled her eyes. "Forgive me for not being able to be there with you now, forgive me for leaving you like this. But you know that as long as you don't forget me, I won't leave."
Camila screamed from her throat, looking up at the sky. It looked like she was going to faint at any moment, so Willow leaned on her as she cried beside her.
"Take good care of mom for me, okay cariño?Help Hunter fulfill his dream of being free and living as a normal Hexside student. Support Gus if he wants to become an ambassador to the human realm and support Willow in bettering herself, more than she already has."
She rubbed her forehead towards Amity's and continued caressing her cheeks.
"As for you, Ammy... Be happy, don't let me dim your light. Find someone to love as much as I love you. And if you don't, do your best for yourself. I know you will, my love."
She kissed her forehead.
Amity could see her somehow, her eyes were still open with her pupils contracted. She couldn't believe how she felt or how little she understood of the language of air.
A louder cry came from her when she stopped feeling that warmth on her cheeks, felt her move away from her.
The sunlight was going down, its rays falling on them. The reflection of it's flashes created a figure. She had on a witch hat, holding a staff in her right hand, her hair was blowing in the wind and her clothes were not worn.
She turned to look at them one last time and started walking again as she disappeared into the sun.
"Thanks, chicos."
Luz had died
