When Hob opened his eyes, he was inhabiting a cathedral-like palace made of grey stone, lined with arching pillars that didn’t seem to exist when he wasn’t looking at them. A solitary throne stood tall on a dais, behind which were three large stained glass windows, the edges changing colour as Dream turned his gaze upon them. Hob watched as the centre window turned into a rendition of Daniel, the picture of a baby—presumably Danai—forming beneath the mosaic, whilst the other windows turned into rather flattering images of Hob himself and Calliope, each wearing their own renditions of Dream’s helm.
Hob’s mosaic didn’t properly encapsulate the horror of the xenomorph helm, rearing white horses at his back, but Calliope was surrounded by scrolls, her body turned outwards as her face, covered in the same grotesque mask he had seen in double-vision when they spoke to each other, faced forwards. It was representative, Hob thought, of how her interests still laid firmly on matters relevant to them all, even as her physical form was stolen from them.

In the right-most pane is Calliope in a greek chiton and red-orange cloak, wearing a grotesque mask with her hair flowing loose. Her skin is the same colour as baby Danai’s. The mask is in various shades of red and black, with white eyes and starburst, and horns and ears. It is vaguely animalistic and Asian-inspired. Above her is a dark sky of dark blues and blacks, with a silver full moon. Below her is a stack of scrolls, a blank scroll and a bunch of yellow palqui flowers.
