Labor and Delivery

Summary:

All For One - also known as Shigaraki Hisashi, Midoriya Inko's husband - has done his best to keep his wife a secret from his crime empire, especially when she got pregnant with their precious little Izuku. One day, Inko doesn't respond to any of his texts, and it all goes downhill from there.

Work Text:

All For One had thought it would be best to keep his relationship with his new wife a secret. Not because he was ashamed of her - he was absolutely besotted by the lovely Midoriya Inko, and he flaunted their relationship while he was Shigaraki Hisashi - but because he was afraid of what his enemies would do if they discovered All For One’s civilian wife. She'd become a target of villains and heroes alike, and while he was confident in her skills with a baseball bat, he'd rather keep her a secret so she'd never be put in a situation like that.

And once they decided to try for a baby? His worries increased by a thousand percent. He loved spending more time with Inko (and the process was certainly fun), but when she got pregnant, his paranoia reached new heights. He wanted to spend every waking moment with her, protecting her and their precious unborn baby, but his villain associates and underlings were already suspicious of his increased absences, any more and they might revolt against him.

But that didn’t mean he didn’t care about Inko. If anything, he only got even more protective: ordering a brand new home security system, texting her every hour to make sure she was alright, even pushing the doctor to finish his work on Kurogiri so that Inko would have a helping hand at home. With the addition of Kurogiri’s warp quirk, Hisashi would make frequent trips to see Inko in her office or their house, taking every opportunity to dote on his wife and their newest addition to the household (he hadn’t expected to rescue little Tomura from the streets, but he nor Inko could possibly get rid of the sweet child). His absences from work increased as her pregnancy went on - it wasn’t easy on her body, especially as her baby bump grew, but Inko was stubborn, refusing to sit back and relax, even when her due was mere weeks away. She outright shoved Hisashi out of the house when he tried to make her stay in bed, insisting that she could take care of the house and Tomura just fine on her own. It took him a solid 15 minutes of pouting and begging for her to agree to work from home for the last four weeks of the pregnancy.

Hisashi had thought that he'd be less worried once Inko started working at home, but each day closer to her due date was another layer of stress. She couldn't use her quirk anymore because it made her incredibly nauseous (Hisashi theorized that her quirk altered her center of balance and the added weight of the baby had thrown off her equilibrium), but that also meant she no longer had the means to dislocate an attacker's spine if she had to defend herself. And she had strict orders from the doctor to limit all physical activity to a daily walk, which eliminated using her trusty baseball bat for defense. Hisashi couldn't pay attention to a bit of his work, not when his wife could go into labor any day now, especially not when she insisted on taking her daily walks outside and by herself, not allowing Kurogiri or even Tomura to go with her! What if something happened while she was out? What if she fell? Or was pushed? What if she was robbed, or caught in an attack, or the heroes' crossfire? Or what if All Might had discovered her relationship to his archnemesis and decided to kidnap her as an act of revenge, brainwashing her and raising their baby as his own child?! What if she went into labor and her phone died so she couldn't contact anyone?!

Hisashi's heart was pounding as he thought himself into a panic. He whipped out his phone as fast as he could and texted Inko, just to check in and make sure everything was alright. He knew she had gone out for a walk half an hour prior thanks to a previous text, but he just had to make sure she was alright. But Hisashi knew his wife, he knew that she'd message him within 5 minutes, telling him that she was alright, maybe even send a picture of her with Tomura - just last week, she'd sent an absolutely precious picture of Tomura carefully touching her stomach, his eyes wide and awestruck as he felt the baby kicking-

Ah, he was getting distracted again. Hisashi unlocked his phone with a smile on his face, eager to see his wife's message, but his smile dropped when he saw nothing there. A quick check proved that his message was sent just over 5 minutes ago, but Inko hadn't even read it. He felt a knot of anxiety build up in his stomach, but he tried to push it down. There was probably a very ordinary reason she hadn't replied; she could be taking a nap, spending time with Tomura, absorbed in her work again, maybe showering, or dealing with nausea after using her quirk. All perfectly reasonable things that would keep her from hearing her phone!!

Hisashi set his phone down and tried not to focus on it. After what felt like hours (it was just four minutes), he grabbed the device and checked again, his heart dropping when he saw no response. He could no longer ignore the feeling that something was wrong, and needed to go home as soon as possible.

Hisashi nearly jumped out of his seat when his phone began to ring, nearly dropping it in his haste to answer. He fumbled with it for a few moments, his heart hammering in his chest when he saw that it was Inko's phone calling him.

"Inko?!" he nearly shouted the moment he answered his phone, desperate to hear her say that everything was fine.

"Uh...I'm sorry, Sensei," he heard little Tomura mumble hesitantly. Hisashi couldn't deny that he felt a pang of disappointment that it wasn't Inko, but that feeling vanished when he realized that Tomura was calling from her phone.

"It's alright, Tomura. Is everything okay at home? Why are you calling from your mom's phone?"

"M-Mom told me to promise not to tell, but she didn't make me pinky promise," Tomura sounded a bit distressed, and Hisashi could tell he was upset at having to justify his actions. "She...she said she was going to work. She promised to come back soon, but...she got sick again this morning, and she looked really tired. I'm s-sorry for breaking a promise."

Hisashi bit back a sigh - Inko wasn't good at sitting back and relaxing for too long, so it wasn't surprising that she snuck out to do some work for a bit. He had just hoped that she wouldn't resort to that when her due date was so soon.

"Thank you for telling me, Tomura. You did the right thing."

"I did good?"

"You did very good. Don't worry, I'm leaving work early today, so I'll go pick up your mom and make sure she gets home safe, okay? We'll be home soon - and for being a good boy, tell Kurogiri to let you have a cookie before dinner."

Tomura gasped, clearly excited at the prospect of the treat. "Okay! Thank you, Sensei! Tell Mom and baby brother to be safe!"

Hisashi couldn't hide the smile Tomura brought to his face - the little boy was just so sweet, and Hisashi knew he'd be a wonderful big brother when the time came. "I will. Be good for Kurogiri, alright?"

"Okay, Sensei! Bye-bye, Sensei!"

With that, Tomura ended the call, but Hisashi jumped into action. He grabbed the office phone on his desk and dialed his secretary, rapidly tapping his foot as he waited for the underling to pick up.

"How may I help you, sir," the underling asked, and All For One let out a relieved sigh the moment he heard the man's voice.

"I'll be taking an early leave today. No one is allowed to contact me when I leave, I don't care how important you think it is. Oh, and my business trip to France may be getting pushed up a few days. Again, no contact during the trip - we don't want the calls getting tapped."

"Understood, sir. Before you go, Tanaka and his squadron have just taken a hostage to interrogation room 5. I didn't have any notice of any interrogations today, and I don't know who they're interrogating."

All For One sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. Tanaka was good at executing orders, but was an absolute idiot who couldn't come up with his own plans. If he was going off the books for this, it could only be a disaster waiting to happen.

"I'll stop by to see what's going on, but that's it. I'm leaving immediately after."

"Understood, sir. Enjoy your day."

All For One hung up the phone and gathered his things, rushing out the door and directly to interrogation room 5. He was just going to pop in, see who the hostage was, and potentially use a memory-altering quirk to make them forget the entire day. Then he could go home, make sure his wife was alright, and spend the whole day doting on his family. As he neared the room, he could hear Tanaka's muffled shouts through the walls, although he did notice that the man sounded a bit panicked and flustered - Tanaka had probably begun to realize his mistake and was scrambling to fix it. All For One moved faster as he approached the door, able to hear a woman's muffled voice arguing with Tanaka. As he pushed the door open, he just hoped that the woman hadn't been injured, since it would be easier to erase her memories than injuries.

"If you don't let me go right this minute, my husband will HAVE YOUR HEADS!"

"I-Inko?!"

Inko was getting more restless by the day. She had never been good at sitting down for too long, but she had never expected to feel so incredibly bored. She tried so hard to stay busy, but it was only a matter of time before she ran out of busywork to do around the house. It especially didn't help that Hisashi had instructed Tomura and Kurogiri to not let her do too much physical labor - which they interpreted as not letting her do anything more intense than taking a walk around the block!

Her breaking point finally came when she accidentally logged into her work email and saw the backlog of emails she had been cc'd in. Her coworkers weren't necessarily asking her for help...but just a little bit of assistance would really ease their workload...she could just pick up some files to read through and give some advice...

The answer was already clear by the time she managed to stand up from the couch. Inko moved as quickly as she could - which, admittedly, wasn't that fast as her walk had been reduced to more of a waddle - and grabbed an empty bag, her keys, and her wallet with her work ID in it. She had gotten to the door without being detected and was struggling with her shoes when she heard a small squeak and whimper from behind her.

"Mom?" Tomura asked in a small, wavering voice, "W-What are you doing?"

Inko winced at being caught, and she slowly turned to look at her little son with a sheepish grin on her face. "Hi, sweetie. Don't worry, I'm just...taking a quick walk, that's all!"

"But...why are you taking your work bag?" he asked with a pointed glance at the bag in her hand, making Inko aware that he saw straight through her lie. She let out a sigh and walked over to him, giving him a warm smile as she bent over (as much as she could with her baby bump in the way) and stroked his little cheek with her thumb.

"Alright, you caught me. I'm taking a quick walk to work, and I'm just picking up some files to read."

"But Sensei said-"

"That I’m not supposed to work, I know. But this isn't work, this is just...reading for fun! I like what I do, and I just want to read through some of my files while we wait for the baby to arrive. I'll only be in the office for a few minutes - just to grab my files and say hello to my coworkers - and I'll come right back home, okay?"

Tomura considered the suggestion deeply, furrowing his brow, biting his lip, and scratching at his neck (the latter Inko put a swift but gentle end to). "I guess that's okay. But you gotta promise to be safe!"

"Of course I will, sweetie," Inko cooed, pressing a soft kiss to Tomura's forehead, "As long as you promise not to tell Hisashi that I stepped out for a bit. We don't need to give him any more stress than he already has."

"O...okay. I won't tell..." Tomura's words trailed off as he relented. Inko wasn't happy to see him so distressed, but she wasn't going to stick around to let her son's cuteness convince her to stay. With one last smile and kiss to his adorably scrunched-up forehead, Inko was out the door.

A relaxed sigh slipped past her lips as she strolled down the sidewalk, basking in the fresh air and summer sun. The summer heat was too much for others, but Inko had always gotten cold easily, and the middle of summer was the only time she could go without her trusty cardigans. And the low, ambient noise of the neighborhood was infinitely relaxing - Inko loved her husband, their son, and Kurogiri, she really did, but the three of them were so overprotective. She was just pregnant, not paralyzed! It wouldn’t kill her if they let her do the dishes once or twice, or even read some case files for work! But she knew they meant well, and she appreciated it, knowing it was their way of showing that they loved her too.

Inko enjoyed every moment of her walk, even though it was quite short. Hisashi had chosen a house that was a short walk away from her office just so she could walk if she wanted to, but not so far that she’d be exhausted from it, and she was beyond grateful to have such a considerate husband. She opened the door to the office slowly, hoping to slip in undetected, and mentally cheered when she saw the secretary’s desk empty. Inko moved quickly, taking back ways to her office, and slipped in right as she heard voices about to round the corner. She didn’t want to spend too long in the building - her coworkers were nearly as bad as her family, scolding her for attempting to work into her maternity leave - and she didn’t want to make Tomura worry if she wasn’t back quickly. It was easy to find the files in the office’s database, and just as easy to send them to her printer.

She felt Izuku kick her stomach while she waited by the printer, the light pressure bringing a smile to her face. Sure, she might be tired of being pregnant, but she was beyond excited to meet her baby. And it wasn’t just her - Hisashi and Tomura were both impatiently waiting for the newest addition to their family to arrive. The thought of Tomura finally getting to see his baby brother made her smile - she could remember the day Tomura finally felt comfortable enough try touching her belly, his anxious expression immediately melting into wonder when he felt Izuku kick. When she’d finally taken her maternity leave and began staying at home, Tomura had taken it upon himself to stay curled up next to her at all times, insisting that he was going to protect her and the baby if something happened. She suspected that Hisashi was partly to blame for that, what with his insistence that Tomura watch out for her while he was gone at work, but she couldn’t be mad at him, not when Tomura loved it so much. And it certainly made for adorable pictures, Hisashi had informed her when she woke up from a nap to see him silently crying over his phone, proudly displaying a (very adorable) picture of her asleep on the couch with Tomura also asleep and tightly clutching her hand.

Another sharp kick to her stomach pulled Inko out of her reminiscing, letting her see that her papers were done. She stuffed them into her bag, suddenly not caring if they were actually legible, and made her way out of the office, taking the back exit to avoid being seen again. She would’ve loved to see her coworkers, but they were also under strict orders to call Hisashi if they saw her in the office on her maternity leave, and the last thing she needed was for the receptionist to give her the lecture of a lifetime before dragging Hisashi away from his work to take her home. So, Inko left the way she came, ducking in an out of empty rooms before finally leaving from the back entrance.

After beginning her walk back, however, Inko quickly encountered a problem: she was getting very tired and very sore. The walk to her office hadn't seemed so long, but the adrenaline of sneaking around the office and Izuku's sudden burst of energy had taken more out of her than she realized. She tried to push past it and keep going, but a sudden soreness in her lower stomach nearly sent her stumbling, sapping the last of her energy from her. Part of her knew she should call Kurogiri for a quick pickup, but Kurogiri would immediately alert Hisashi that she had overexerted herself again, drawing her husband away from work yet again. Inko already felt guilty for taking her husband away from his work so much - even though he said he’d gladly drop everything to take care of her, she didn’t want to be the reason he never got anything done. But as she felt Izuku moving, his little hands and feet putting all kinds of pressure on her stomach, back -everything, really- Inko knew that she couldn’t get home right away.

Inko’s eyes lit up at the sight of a small cafe just a few shops ahead of her. That would be the perfect place to take a short break, and maybe getting some juice would help get her energy back quicker. She began walking that way very slowly, not wanting to risk stumbling or falling, but she cursed under her breath when a paper somehow managed to slip out of her bag, sliding across the sidewalk into a nearby alley. On instinct, she tried using her quirk to draw it back to her, but the wave of nausea that hit her put an instant stop to that. For a brief moment, she considered just leaving the paper behind, but she didn’t know if it had any kind of confidential client information on it, and she couldn’t walk away with the risk that it did have important information. So, Inko altered her course and slowly waddled off the busy street and into the alley, wondering how on earth she was meant to bend down and pick the thing up with her protruding belly in the way.

“Excuse me, miss, do you need some help?” A stranger approached and asked, and Inko let out a relieved sigh.

“Yes, please. I need to pick up that paper over there, but I can’t really do it myself for obvious reasons.”

“I understand, miss,” the stranger chuckled softly, “How far along are you, if you don’t mind me asking?”

“Not at all! I’m actually 38 weeks, almost 39. I’ll get to meet my sweet angel any day now!” Inko chittered happily and laid a hand on her stomach, smiling when she felt Izuku kick (he was being oddly active today - he was probably excited to be born!), “Thank you so much for helping me. I don’t know what I would’ve done if you hadn’t come along!”

The stranger laughed and walked up to Inko, the paper held close to their chest. She reached out to take it from them, but the stranger moved back just before her fingers brushed the paper. Furrowing her brow, Inko tried to take it again, but this time the stranger took a step back, and an uneasy feeling quickly settled in her stomach.

“Thank you for getting that, but I really do need it back now. I have places to be, you see-“

“Really? That’s so funny, because I actually have places you need to be too! Except my places are much more important than yours!”

Inko’s guard was up in an instant, and she took quick steps back while trying to grab her phone- only to feel an empty pocket. The panic set in, but before she could even think of running, she collided against someone behind her, and a cloth was covering her nose and mouth before she had the chance to scream for help. She tried to fight against them, but there must have been some kind of drug in the cloth, because before she knew it, she was quickly succumbing to the darkness.

When Inko finally awoke, the first thing she noticed was the pounding ache in her skull. The second was that she was seated, and her arms and legs were tied to the chair she was in. The third happened when her chin was suddenly grabbed and her head was yanked up to look at her kidnappers, because Inko acted on her fight instincts and bit her kidnapper’s hand hard. The kidnapper screams and yanked his hand away, accidentally backhanding Inko in the process, but she didn’t care. She could see three people in the room and cursed internally when she saw how muscular and menacing they all looked - even if she could use her quirk, there was no way she could take them all on and escape safely.

“You bitch,” the one she bit growled out, looking positively enraged as they stalked over to her, only stopping when another of the kidnappers grabbed their shoulder and held them back, “Let me go, I’m gonna show her exactly who’s in charge around here!”

“Calm down, Tanaka. You’re the one that said we’re not killing her, just giving her a good scare. Besides, I got a real problem if you start punching on a pregnant lady.”

“Wada’s right. Besides, she looks like she’s about to pop - if we hurt the kid, the police are definitely gonna investigate it. The last thing we need is the Boss getting busted ‘cause we did a little unsanctioned kidnapping.”

The one she bit - Tanaka - forced an exhaled through his clenched jaw. He took a few measured breaths before plastering on a wicked grin - although, Inko couldn’t help but think that his attempt at looking intimidating was nowhere near as effective as Hisashi’s. “Listen closely, because we’re only telling you this once-“

“Did you bring my files with you?” Inko interrupted, looking around the room for any sign of her work bag.

“Uh- yes?” Tanaka replied, clearly startled by her apparent nonchalance.

“Oh, thank goodness. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I lost those. Now that that’s taken care of…LET ME GO THIS INSTANT!” Inko screamed and fought against her restraints, the sudden outburst startling her kidnappers. Tanaka regained his composure quickly though, and merely scoffed at her demands.

“Yeah, fat chance of that happening. Listen here, lady-“

“F-fat…” Inko gasped and readied her infinite supply of tears, making her eyes watery with the threat of a sobbing fit, “Are you…are you saying I look fat?!”

“Wh- NO, NOT AT ALL!” The third one screeched and waved their arms in panic, “I m-mean, we saw pictures pictures from before you got pregnant when we were stalking you, and you obviously look bigger than you did a few months ago-“

“You’re saying I’m ugly?!” Inko made sure to put a noticeable tremble to her voice, and the third kidnapper’s panic increased tenfold.

“NO NO NO!! You’re not ugly at all - I mean, you’re not my type, per se, and I’m not really into pregnant people, but-“

Inko finally let the dam burst, and tears began streaming from her eyes. “YOU THINK I’M UGLY! You think I’m ugly because I’m pregnant! You people are so mean!”

She sobbed in earnest, and she could tell that it was throwing the kidnappers off. Inko knew that she wasn’t ugly - Hisashi made his attraction to her perfectly clear each and every day, and he’d somehow even gotten Tomura to start calling her “the most beautiful Mom ever”, which never failed to make her blush from how sweet both of her boys were.

“No I swear we’re not mean!! And you’re not ugly at all!! I- ugh, Wada, Tanaka, help!”

“You’re an idiot, Hirano,” Tanaka spat out. He kicked Inko’s chair hard, and she toned down her dramatic display when she felt the chair threaten to tip over. “Listen carefully. We know you’ve been blackmailing the boss for money, and that’s going to stop today. I don’t know how you managed to find dirt on him, or how he hasn’t just killed you and dumped your body in the woods, but you clearly have no idea who it is you’re messing with.”

Inko blinked in shock. “Obviously I have no idea who I’m messing with, because I don’t know what you’re talking about! I’m not blackmailing anyone, especially not whoever the clown you call your boss is! I don’t even have a reason to blackmail anyone - if you did a half-decent job of stalking me, you’d know that my job pays plenty, not to mention my husband is a very wealthy businessman. I don’t even know who your boss is!”

Tanaka rolled his eyes. “Likely story. We know how you rich types are, you’re always looking for a way to make more money. I’ve seen the notes lying around saying to ‘pay Inko back’ and ‘give Inko cash’. The boss has been giving you money for months, and I’m putting a stop to that today, no matter what it takes.”

“What are you talking about?!” Inko demanded as she became increasingly irritated, “Listen here, numbskull, I am not blackmailing anyone. I don’t need to, and I don’t even have the time to! I have a husband and a son at home, with another one on the way, and I am very busy with my job! If you seem to think I have the free time to blackmail someone, then you must not know a thing about parenthood!”

Inko was getting angrier and more irritated with each word, and her voice reached a near shout when she felt a sharp pain in her stomach, something like a period cramp but ten times worse. She wasn't sure what the pain was, but she forced herself to calm down, thinking that maybe stressing herself out was what caused it.

"How are you so sure that I'm the Inko your boss is giving money to? Did it ever cross your mind that there could be another Inko out there?"

The one named Wada stepped forward while shaking their head. "It only makes sense if it's you - you've been a constant thorn in the boss' side for years with how many times you've sued our operations."

Inko wracked her mind, trying to think of any businesses she'd brought repeated lawsuits against, but another, stronger pain made it hard to think.

"What if it's actually something else?" Hirano said while Inko was trying to take deep breaths, "What if...what if that baby is the boss' kid, and she's blackmailing him with that?"

"Do NOT imply that my baby is anyone's besides my husband's baby," Inko snapped. She felt another cramp in her stomach while she shouted, but she just couldn't calm down, not when she had to defend Hisashi's honor! "If you even think about mentioning that again, my husband will kill you, and he'll have a great time doing it!"

"Sure he will," Tanaka scoffed, "Listen lady, your husband cannot even think of touching us, not when our boss is the strongest villain in the world!"

Inko, fully aware of her husband's identity as All For One, couldn't help but laugh sharply. "You are sorely mistaken if you think you can underestimate my husband. He's probably noticed I'm missing by now, and when he comes to get me, I will not stop him from ripping you limb from limb-"

Another sharp pain made Inko gasp, but a cold dread sank into her gut when she felt a weird pressure in her stomach, the dread turning into panic when the pressure broke and something wet began flowing out of her.

"What the- oh gross! Tanaka, look, she's so scared, she peed!"

Inko didn't even have the mental capacity to argue, despite knowing that they were wrong, because she knew exactly what was going on.

"You need to let me go right now! My water just broke!"

The three kidnappers all scoffed and laughed amongst themselves, which only made Inko more panicked.

"I'm being serious! My water broke, I need to go to the hospital!"

"Likely story, you just don't want to agree to our terms!"

"WHAT TERMS?! YOU IDIOTS HAVEN'T SAID ANY TERMS!" Inko shrieked and fought against her restraints, preparing herself for the nausea of using her quirk to escape, "If you don't let me go right this minute, my husband will HAVE YOUR HEADS!"

"I-Inko?!"

Hisashi's blood went cold at the sight of his wife in the interrogation room, tied to a chair, looking extremely distressed. She whipped around to face him the moment he spoke and promptly burst into tears when she laid her eyes on him. He ignored the underlings gaping at him and dove across the room, ripping away the ropes binding his sobbing wife and pulling her into his arms.

"Inko, are you alright? What's going on here?! Is that...why is your skirt damp? Are you bleeding?!" Hisashi fired off question after question, but as Inko was too busy crying to answer, his worry was quickly replaced with rage. He whirled around and stalked toward the whimpering minions, his malice and anger making him look nothing short of terrifying even while holding his pregnant wife. “What. Did you do. To my WIFE?!”

“W-we didn’t know, Boss!” Tanaka stammered pathetically, “We didn’t know she was your wife, we just found some papers that said to ‘pay Inko’ - we thought you were being blackmailed!”

“Did you even bother to see what that was written on?! It could’ve been an electric bill, repayment for my metro card - hell, it was probably a receipt from the baby store! Because, if you haven’t noticed, we have a BABY ON THE WAY!”

All For One was seething, rage coursing through him each second he had to look at the imbeciles that kidnapped and threatened his wife. He began sorting through his catalogue of quirks, searching for one to obliterate them as painfully as possible, but a whimper from Inko had him tossing aside any need for revenge.

“Inko, what’s wrong?!”

Hisashi's mind was racing, trying to feel for any injuries on his wife while refusing to let go of her, but his questions only made her cry even harder. She sobbed while clutching her stomach and, oh god, had his minions hurt her?! So close to her due date?!

“H-Hisashi! My w-water broke! The baby’s c-coming!”

“The baby’s coming,” Hisashi nodded instantly, preparing a litany of healing quirks before the words slowly began to dawn on his mind, “The baby’s coming…oh god, THE BABY’S COMING!

"Yes, he's coming, so can we PLEASE go to the hospital?!"

"Yeah, yeah, the hospital! We need to go to the hospital - are you okay with letting Kurogiri take us there? I know the warp gates have made you nauseous lately-"

"Hisashi, I am literally having contractions, GET ME TO THE HOSPITAL!"

He nodded and whipped out his phone, swallowing nervously while summoning Kirogiri to their location. The baby was coming, Inko was about to give birth, she had been kidnapped-

"Oh, right. YOU FOOLS HAVE MADE YOUR FINAL MISTAKE!" All For One roared at Tanaka and the others, the force of his anger practically sending them crashing to the ground, "Kidnapping a pregnant person is bad enough, but kidnapping my wife?! Thinking she was blackmailing me, and trying to...to torture her?!"

"Boss, we're s-sorry! We won't do it a-again!"

"You most certainly won't, not when I rip out your intestines and hang you from the ceiling with them!"

"Please don't," Inko whimpered, one hand on her stomach and the other covering her mouth, "I think the contractions are making me nauseous enough as it is."

Hisashi took a deep breath, forcing down his anger at his minions. Revenge could wait, especially since a portal opened up before them, with Kurogiri appearing from it.

"I have the location of the hospital, Master. And Tomura-san would like to have another cookie if you'll allow it.”

“He can have as many cookies as he’d like! Come on, we have to go!”

“He can have two more and that’s it,” Inko groaned, but suddenly yelped and clutched her stomach tighter, “If I don’t get to the hospital in 5 minutes, I’m not the only one who’s gonna need it!”

"R-Right! Kurogiri, to the hospital! And drop those three off with the Doctor - tell him they're new test subjects for experiments!"

Hisashi could hear the three idiots wailing in protest, but their screams for mercy were out of his ears soon enough as he ran through the portal. He and Inko emerged in an alley near the hospital, just like they had been planning to, and he even used a few extra speed quirks to run in even faster, bursting into Labor and Delivery and shouting, "SHE'S IN LABOR!"

It was a whirlwind from then on. Nurses and doctors descended upon them, Inko was laid on a gurney, whisked to a room, with Hisashi being forced into the sterile hospital wear while the nurses helped Inko into a maternity gown. Hours passed from there, but Hisashi hardly noticed it, too preoccupied with Inko and the baby. He didn't even know how long Inko had been squeezing his hand (it felt like it was broken from the force she put on it, and Hisashi couldn't be more proud), when she screamed and pushed one last time, collapsing down on the pillows while the doctors and nurses swarmed around her legs. It felt like time screeched to a halt, with Hisashi not daring to look away, feeling like everything would go wrong if he did, and-

"Congratulations, Mama! It's a beautiful, healthy baby boy!"

There was a baby being laid on Inko's chest. There was a baby on Inko's chest. There was a baby, a beautiful baby boy, with a head full of dark green hair, crying and wriggling around on Inko's chest.

"It's him," Hisashi was awestruck as he looked at the baby- their baby, "Inko, you...we...that's-"

"He's beautiful," Inko supplied, silent tears of joy rolling down her face. Hisashi couldn't help but agree, unable to tear his eyes away from his wife and brand-new son. A son with the tiniest little nose, tiny hands, the most adorable tuft of hair on his head. "Our little Izuku, he's just perfect."

A doctor cleared their throat, drawing the parents' attention away from their baby boy. "Congratulations, both of you! Now, I heard you call him Izuku, is that the name you're going with?"

"Yes," Inko replied with a smile, "Our Izuku. Shigaraki Iz-"

"WAIT!" Hisashi shrieked and dropped to his knees, smacking his hands together in a begging position, tears in his eyes as he stared at his wife's startled face, "Inko, Inko please, can he please be a Midoriya He’s just so…so green! He looks just like you! And we already have one son with my family name, I don’t want you to feel left out!"

Inko smiled at him and reached out to place a hand on his face, coaxing him to get back in his seat. "Who knew my husband could beg so cutely? Alright then, Midoriya Izuku it is."

Izuku -tiny, perfect Izuku- made a little gurgling noise, and Hisashi already knew that he would destroy cities to hear every noise his son had to make. Time flew by again from there- his first feeding, the nurses finally taking Izuku to be measured and weighed, Inko giving him his first bath - and before he knew it, they were back at Inko's hospital bed, with Izuku swaddled in a pastel green blanket and snoozing away in Inko's arms.

"I can't wait to introduce him to Tomura," Inko whispered, "He's been so excited to meet his brother, I just know he'll love Izuku."

"Oh, is your other son nearby?" Another nurse asked, and Hisashi nodded - Tomura might technically be in a different part of the city, but everything was nearby with Kurogiri, "You can actually bring him to visit now!"

"That's wonderful!" Inko beamed, her smile so bright it lit the room up, "We'll bring him right away - would you mind giving us some privacy for a moment? I want to call our son to tell him the news."

The nurse nodded and went to the door. "Of course. We'll be fairly hands-off until you're discharged, but press that button right there if you need a nurse for anything!"

The instant the nurse left, Inko was tapping Hisashi's arm incessantly. "Call Kurogiri! I can't wait a minute longer, I want Tomura to meet his brother!"

Not one to argue with his wife, Hisashi did just that. Not even ten seconds later, Hisashi was walking through a warp gate and into their house. He found Tomura sitting on the couch, picking at his gloves and rocking back and forth, looking incredibly worried.

"Tomura, I'm here."

"Sensei? Sensei!" Tomura squealed and jumped off the couch, running to Hisashi and bouncing nervously, "Wh-where's mom? Is she okay? Is baby brother here yet?"

Hisashi chuckled and offered his hand to Tomura, smiling when his son's small hand was laying in his palm, "Your mom and brother are just fine. In fact, you can come see them right now if you'd like."

"I do! I wanna see baby brother! And mom too!!"

"Then let's go - but remember, we have to be quiet. Your brother might be sleeping, and your mom is very tired."

Tomura nodded and tugged Hisashi's hand, to which the man laughed and led them both through the warp gate where Inko was waiting. Tomura gasped when he finally saw Inko, and Hisashi could feel him begin to tremble excitedly when Inko smiled and held a hand out to their oldest son.

"Hi, sweetie," Inko began, and Tomura was tearing away from Hisashi to rush over to her, trying to lift his little body onto the much taller hospital bed, stars in his eyes as he looked at the bundled up baby in Inko's arms, "Would you like to meet your baby brother?"

"Y-Yeah!"

Notes:

ANOTHER POSTED TUMBLR DRABBLE!! (...yes I know what that word count is, I swear it was a drabble when I wrote it!)
Listen. I just think Inko being kidnapped and completely unphased by her kidnappers is funny, especially since she knows that literally no one can be scarier than her husband (she's seen him in action as All For One, and she LIKED WHAT SHE SAW!)
All that crying and stuff? Completely on purpose. You go, Inko, weaponize those tears!

As always, this was cross-posted to my tumblr! Thank you all so much for reading!
