Introduction:
Imagining the future is a great thing, but for those experiencing the future, however, is a story within itself.
Taking place in the late 22nd century, and many changes have happened in the span of a century. The Holy Empire of Britannia was first created seventy years prior, forged by Holy King Charles I. The reason why it's “Holy” is because the Pope himself blessed the crusade.
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland isn’t the only country where it has recovered its former glory since monarchical rule returned in favor.
We all know the story of how the Tsardom of Russia fell to communism. Years later, the USSR broke apart into different other countries, the biggest of all was named the Russian Federation. The former democratic country couldn’t restore its economy after the Devastation 20s.
The Fusion War of 2094 was when Russia went back to the Tsardom. The Unified Empire of Russia reclaimed the fifteen republics back to its rule. While the Houses of Romanov and Potemkin were the ones to lead the rebellion, they instituted the House of Volkov to the Russian throne instead. The people, however, were not happy. The Romanovs were their first choice, then the Potemkins. The Volkovs weren’t and never will be, their royal family. This ideology continued on for decades.
As a result, it created tension between the two families.
The animosity between Tsarvena Alexandra Valentinovna and Grand Duke Anatoly Valentinovich towards Duchesses Yelisaveta Nikolaevna and Veronika Konstantinovna and Dukes Sergei Grigorovich and Matvei Konstantinovich grew so much, that the two couldn’t be in the same room with their cousins without a decent amount of glaring, sneering, and passive-aggressive insults.
‘When there’s a Russian, a French will be at their side’ is a common saying nowadays.
The Devastation 20s had also hit France, and the French people violently protested against the democratic government. It has been seared into history books when they nearly succeeded in taking President Emmanuel Macron’s life with the same guillotine that beheaded King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antionette.
After the successes of both Britannia and Russia, the French were quick to make their intentions clear of making the Fifth French Republic the same. The French president and officials made haste to flee to Canada. The Spanish King deposited Infante Carlós de Laurens los Crillon de Borbón y Romanov to France.
This tactic was to appease the French people for their future leader and, hopefully, king.
It proved to be successful since after nearly 250 years, France had King Carlós Bourbon I and Queen Genviéve de Lafayette as its rulers.
While things were doing good in Europe, the same couldn’t be said for the United States of America. Since the Holy Empire of Britannia was reclaiming its old colonies, one of those was Good Ol’ Uncle Sam. It was relatively easy for the Britannians to conquer the once mighty country.
Much like France, America faced protests during the 20s and only grew larger. America, while still being World’s Only Superpower, many questioned the title. The top one percent were arrogant in their rich and famous lifestyle that they merely dismissed the suffering. In the events of a nearing civil war, famine, and corruption, an empire saw an opportunity and took it.
On what was the once great United States of America, now slimmed down to the Britannia Commonwealth States.
Now this story talks about the journeys of Yelisaveta Romanova-Potemkina from the Golden Age to Peakdom to Yesterday, There Were More of Us.
It goes through how a young Duchess and star figure skater turns into a calculating Tsarevna and an unintentional Polkovnik in the Russian Air Force.
We dive into her love life as perfect as a new blooming rose to unbearable betrayals from life-long friends.
Along with her part in the International Elite’s Refinery Quartet with Francis Adams, Harmonia Gates, and Bennson Arnold; we also see their perspectives as well to provide snapshots of outside views on the world happening and changing around them.
We shall see how this all pans out straight into the Golden Age in 2166.
