    “I did.” He breathed, “we were in high school again, you were sitting in front of me at our desks. I wasn’t nervous though, or afraid, or worried.” Not like most of their high school career. Their day to day. “Everything was okay.” His throat tightens, making the words harder to say. They shouldn’t feel so momentous, those three words, but they do.

    “Good.”

    Izuku relaxes instantly, smiling foolishly at the island countertop. He blinks against tears, wondering where they came from and why they were leaving so quickly.
