When Vil stopped singing he was out of breath. Their concert was significantly big and he couldn’t mess things up. In the other hand the band performed before them was late so they had to performed later than expected too.
Other bands vocalist was literally sleeping before the performance and that was why they were so late. Vil wanted to scold him but he was in a hurry so he wanted to do so after his performance.
He looked at his band mates, then looked at the crowd who has been cheering them, he slowly raised his voice “This will be the last song for today. Lets make it good together.” and another loud cheering came from the crowd.
At the end of the concert they all said their thanks and got off the stage. Backstage Idia, their bassist, was back to his usual self. The guy was amazing at playing the bass and was important part of the songs but he sucked at communicating.
Their guitarist who was Lilia, was making jokes about how Idia sucked at communicating. And that was their usual. Drummer who was Rook, was talking to their keyboardist Epel. And that was their band. Everyone got along just fine, of course they had their differences but Vil always thought that they would be always together as a band.
Now onto the other band who had been late for 20 minutes. The vocalist Leona was well known for being “lazy” but Vil didn’t really agreed with the opinion of the other people. But there was one thing that was true, and it was the fact that Leona could fall asleep in seconds. He was incredible at that.
Another thing that Vil didn’t know about was his childhood friend Jack was the bassist of the band. And he personally came up to him and apologized for their vocalist’s behavior. Jack was a upright kid even when he was a child so Vil was not really surprised when the kid came up to him and apologized.
Other band members were unknown to Vil except for Ortho who was the keyboardist of the band. He was Idia’s brother so every other band member of his knew him. But Idia didn’t really mentioned that his brother was in a metal band. That’s why they were kind of surprised.
Alongside with Leona, Jack and Ortho there were two other members. The guitarist looked lika a cold man, he had green eyes, dark hair, and he was pale. Drummer was a short hyena, that was only thing made him interesting to Vil.
Jack mentioned that they would be in the backstage, probably in the locker room, after the concert so Vil and his band mates made their way into the locker room. And Jake was saying the truth, all of the band members were there.
Leona was sleeping and Jack was trying to wake him up but there was no sign from Leona. The guy with horns looked like he was done with life. Hyena was snickering to Leona and Jack and Ortho was happy that his brother came into the locker room.
Ortho excitedly came up to them, most likely to his brother, and said “Big brother did you see my performance? Was it good?!” Idia looked at his little brother and said “You were great Ortho, I’m so proud of you. What about your big brother’s performance? Did you like it?” Ortho’s face lit up with the compliment he just got from his brother “You were so cool big brother. You played the bass so easily, it was great!!” he said with excitement.
At the same time Vil was looking at the sleeping lion and decided he would wake the man up. With a sudden movement he came up to the man who was sleeping probably since when their performance ended. And poked him until he let out a grunt and rose up from where he was sleeping. “What do you want?” he said with a annoyed face.
”What do I want? I want to talk about the incident happened today. I was wondering how irresponsible you could be to fall asleep right before when your performance starts. And adding to that you didn’t wake up for whole 20 minutes.” Vil said furiously. He was calm two minutes ago but well he was not now that he remembered how he had to go up stage 20 minutes late.
Leona yet again gave him a annoyed look and said “I don’t want to have someone screaming at me when I just woke up. Secondly its not my fault that band before me was so boring that I fell asleep. My sleep is important to me so could you not disturb me anymore?” Vil let out a sigh, he was exhausted and Leona weren’t helping him right now. “Please if we ever perform back to back again don’t fall asleep. I can not possibly go trough fall 20 minutes back from my schedule, i have a routine.”
”Will do.” Leona said and got up from the sofa, since Vil’s band was the last to perform it was time to go home. After all it was 12.30 AM and everyone needed a good sleep. “Roi de Poison its time to go home, you know you are too exhausted to drive and my house is quite far from your house so we gotta get going.” Rook butted in with a smile.
Jake said “Where’s your house Vil? I could drop you off if it’s close to mine.” after overhearing the conversation between Vil and Rook. Vil gave his address to Jack, and when he looked up the address he said “Actually not mine but Leona’s house is pretty close, and i might say you guys are in the same street. Leona would you mind giving ride to Vil?” Vil opposed to the idea saying “No, no i don’t wanna bother someone i barely know. Rook can drop me off, right Rook?”
Leona shrugged and began talking “Nah its not that big of a deal i could drop you off if its close to mine. Just need you to give me your address.” Vil looked at him with regretful eyes “Are you sure? Considering your personality you might find me as a bother.” Leona raised one of his eye brows to Vil’s comment and said “What’s that supposed to mean?” Vil chuckled to his reaction and mumbled a faint ‘nothing’ then he raised his voice a little and “Okay Leona thank you for agreeing to drop me off.” he said.
At the same time Rook and Ruggie were chatting about something. Ortho was with Idia but Idia was having a conversation with Malleus, it was weird seeing him chatting with someone other than his brothers and the band and he seemed to be blushing sometimes too. And even though Vil thought Malleus as a cold person he was actually smiling at Idia and chuckling throughout their conversation.
Lilia was nowhere to be seen, so Vil thought he might be on his way to his house. Lilia was kind of a mysterious type, he could hear people talking even though they’re far away or he could appear and disappear out of nowhere, but Vil find that unique and interesting.
And Vil didn’t know this but Epel and Jack was actually friends and knew each other since university. Thus their house was next to each other since they picked it out together, so they were going together. Vil looked at Leona who was looking at him back, Vil spoke “Shall we go?” Leona nodded they said their goodbyes to everyone and walked out.
The car ride probably would be be awkward but Vil blamed it to the lack of knowledge about each other. He observed Leona better this time since they were alone and all. Leona had dark skin, brown hair, green eyes pretty sharp teeth and lion ears. He was good looking and pretty attractive by all means, but his personality traits were kind of bad. It didn’t erase the man’s attractiveness though.
They got in to the car, Leona started the car and they moved. Vil was watching the road then he heard a throat clearing noise “You guys were nice today. Your voice is pretty good Vil.” said Leona, he was trying to make it less awkward. “Oh yeah, I’ve watched you guys too. I like your voice and you are pretty energetic when you are in stage.” Vil said in response.
”Actually I’ve been to a few of your concerts, i like your music and your style too. You are making the whole thing unique and beautiful Vil, of course other band man are good too but… There’s a thing about you makes it unique. And your music’s lyrics, your clothes and makeup are whole another level. It’s just my opinion but i think it’s pretty cook you know.” Leona said with a half smirking face. And now Vil was blushing, this man just pretty much complimented his everything and he didn’t even felt embarrassed.
”Thanks Leona, I appreciate it. And I’m kinda embarrassed to be honest, this might be the first time someone said this much of a beautiful things about me and my music. I always put effort into my music and my appearance. I like it when someone appreciates me.” said Vil, even he didn’t worded it out loud Vil was in a pretty good mood right now after Leona’s compliments about him.
Leona looked at him smiling, Vil smiled back at him. At that moment Vil forgot about Leona and his first encounter, he started to warm up to this guy and it felt like he could get used to him being around.
Couple of minutes later Leona pulled up to Vil’s house and pointed at the house across the street “That’s my house right there, you can come over if you have any problems or if you feel like it.” Leona said. Vil couldn’t believe that he lived just across the street “That goes for you too Leona, I didn’t know we lived this close to each other, otherwise i would come and see you time to time.” Vil said in response.
They said their goodbyes to each other just like they did to their other friends, Leona parked his car and waved at him Vil waved at him back smiling. Then Vil turned his back and started to unlock his door…
