If you would have asked Jimmy last week how confident he was in his relationship with Tango he would have turned pink and went on a rant about how happy he was and how he wanted to marry him. So when Tango left him out in town square crying after the words “I'm sorry i can’t be with someone i don't have feelings for” and walking off he was shocked.
It was supposed to just be a cute date, not the end. Jimmy shakingly slid his phone from his pocket to call Scott since well Tango was his ride. One ring Two ring “Jim? I thought you were on your date-?” an accented voice came through the speakers “oh yeah- no we uhm….ended it- or well tango did- i'll explain later can you come get me-” jimmy answered as non shakenly as he could “Ye- Elle stay-'' Scott replied as he struggled to get out the door. “Bye Scott '' Jimmy didn't wait for the gay Scottish man to reply when he hung up.
Jimmy wandered around the park contemplating on what to do with his spare time, around 17 minutes later Scott pulled up. Jimmy walked over climbing into the passenger seat and buckled up shutting the door behind himself. Scott pulled Jimmy into a bone crushing hug, “Hi to you too-?”
Jimmy laughed quietly “Jimmy are you ok? Do you need anything-? Do you wanna stay at mine-?” “Scott calm down- can we go to yours i can really use some elle cuddles” “of course door dash us some sushi or something my wallet should be on the dash” the cyan haired student spoke. Jimmy connected his phone to the bluetooth putting on Sunflower by post malone then grabbing scotts wallet starting to place an order. Somehow Sunflower turned into Taylor swift songs and scott n jimmy singing their hearts out as they pulled up to scotts apartment complex. Scott turned off the car walking up the steps behind Jimmy until Jimmy reached the door looking back at scott. “Scottttt” The blond dramatically dragged out the T, The scottish man sighed and unlocked the door walking in after jimmy did and setting his keys back on the rack.
“Jim?” “hm?” he looked up from his phone “When's the sushi getting here?” “uhhhhhhhhh…..10 minutes?” “Wine?” “I literally have nothing left to lose” Scott hummed in agreement grabbing the wine bottle and two glasses from the cabinet and walked over to where Jimmy was now scrolling through disney plus and poured a glass handing it to jimmy then pouring his own. Jimmy sighed, setting down the remote then grabbing his glass “I thought he was the one Scott-” Scott nodded now next to Jimmy on the couch sipping some of the dark maroone liquid from his glass. “I mean yeah he's been more distant and we've been arguing more recently but we always have argued you know? I should have never gotten mad about him hanging out with Zedaph so much or else this would have never happened-” “Jimmy. You expressing your concerns is completely in your right in a relationship. Don't blame yourself, okay? There's many others they may not be him but hey maybe there's someone who has a weird obsession with cod and law shows like you do out there waiting for you?” Jimmy started giggling, almost spilling his drink on himself. “I guess you're right, scott why are you so good at this stuff?” “Because i've trained to be the perfect boyfriend and still no one wants me” “Cheers to being single gay men” “cheers” The glasses clinked and they both took a sip, There was a knock at the door
“Jimmy, you know what would be really nice of you?” Jimmy sighed, getting up from the couch and opening the door thanking the driver and grabbing the food, setting it on the coffee table and getting the food out, “JIMMY” the cyan headed homo yelled from the other room “YEAH?” “EXPLODING KITTENS OR BATTLESHIPS?” “BATTLESHIPS” “ALRIGHT IF YOU TOUCH MY SPRING ROLLS I'M MURDERING YOU” Jimmy smiled to himself as he continued getting the food from the bag and setting it on the then putting on the sorta new matilda musical sue him he's a theater kind of guy!
Scott came back, setting the box on the table sitting on the couch next to Jimmy grabbing the chopsticks and the spring rolls.
The two sat in silence while watching the movie and eating until Jimmy's phone went off a notification from minesta, +1 New Quick Pic from Tango Tek , Jimmy opened it sighing but when he saw Zedaph kissing and lying on his chest like he used to, he broke out in tears. When Jimmy started crying, Scott had no idea what was going on. All he knew was to comfort Jimmy by pulling him into a hug until his crying slowed and eventually stopped.
“What happened Jim?” “Tango- he posted a picture and i- I expected it to just be him hanging with one of his friends- and Zedaph just replaced he in a day! And Tango in our 2 years of dating never liked posting about me-” “Jim. Boys should ruin your lipstick not your mascara ignore him. He obviously didn't deserve you. Your out of his league he's stupid for not wanting you forget him block him on everything.” Jimmy's wings slightly eased at scotts comforting still basically laying on scott he started to ease more “He never deserved you he's lucky I don't call Xornoth to go egg his house.” Jimmy did the giggle scott loved- liked. Liked. “He's gonna end up one of those lonely old men who don't own a cute house with a big fluffy dog and two cats with two rocking chairs for him and his wife or husband and instead live in a nasty apartment and his cat won't even want him.” Scott didn't know when he started running his hand through Jimmy's hair and rubbing his back, Hell he didn't know when Jimmy fell asleep on him! But who would complain when their long-time crush fell asleep on them? Not this hopeless romantic cyan! Scott pulled the blanket over jimmy and himself and sighed contently happy with the canary hybrid lying on his chest thank Aeor that tango was stupid enough to leave jimmy. Even if Jimmy moves on to another guy that's not him he will always be there for him.
