Alexios had somehow managed to get himself into the Olympics, he wasn’t quite sure how but he had and there was someone there on his mind constantly, Alcibiades.
On the second day of his stay at the Olympics, Barnabas sprinted up to him as fast as he had ever seen the old man move, he spoke with panic in his voice” No time to explain follow me.” He followed him closely and was led to a bed where Alcibiades lay in clear pain.”What happened?!” Alexios said with panic, “He drank some wine and has been ill ever since.” Barnabas said. Without another word Alexios stood up and hurried off, later he returned with a small bottle in his hand and instructed Alcibiades to drink from it.
“I feel fine now.” Alcibiades muttered weakly trying to stand up. “No you are still weak you need to rest,” Alexios said softly. “I want to sit by that tree,” Alcibiades said pointing
to a gargantuan old oak tree. Without a word, Alexios picked him up in his arms and carried him to the tree.
Alcibiades kept quiet but was blushing slightly which was a rare sight indeed. When Alexios reached the tree he placed him down gently and sat next to him, after long several minutes Alexios piped up “are you okay? I was worried I would lose you.” Alcibiades looked up with wide eyes and a red face “I didn’t think I meant that much to you..” he said sheepishly. “Of course, I care about you.” Alexios said. “most people only care about my body.” Alcibiades admitted with sad eyes. Alexios cupped his chin affectionately, “You are more than a body you are intelligent, funny and kind I couldn’t imagine a better person than you.” without another word Alcibiades embraced Alexios in a tight hug and Alexios held him tight back.
