"Do I have to go out there just to freeze my ass?"
"Oh c'mon, it'll be fun!"
Bakugou gave Kirishima a look, one that made it look as if the other was questioning the redhead's sanity as such blatant lies were told to him to look almost innocent. No, Bakugou wouldn't have that.
There was no way in hell he was going out in the cold, especially with there being four inches of snow out. Speaking of snow, it was still falling out there to add onto the inches of cold white powder that soaks through your clothes and only worsen the wind chill.
Kirishima stood up from the couch he was sitting on besides Bakugou, there not being a whole lot of people in the common room, most of them outside enjoying the snow as December was kicking through.
There was only a few still inside like Asui, basking in the warmth of the blanket provided by Yaoyorozu, Shoji and Hagakure who were keeping Tsuyu's company and Sato who was providing hot chocolate for everyone once they came back inside.
Bakugou looked up at his boyfriend, his body sunken into the couch, phone still in hand. "What're you doing?" He asked.
"Going out," Kirishima said simply, giving Bakugou a small wave as he headed out the door.
"Hold on a fucking second," Bakugou yelled, causing Kirishima to spin on his heel, confusion displayed on his face. "Aren't you putting more on?"
Kirishima looked down at his tank top and sweats then back over at Bakugou. "Uh...you think I should?" He asked.
Bakugou's shoulder's slumped, giving an expression of disbelief. "Are you fucking with me right now?"
"Alright alright, I'll go put on a jacket," Kirishima said as he headed upstairs to fetch one from his room. It took him roughly about three minutes, coming back with the lightest jacket he owned.
When Bakugou noticed, he pinched the bridge of his nose. "How the hell is that any better?" He groaned then stood, pocketing his phone as he walked over to Kirishima, grabbing onto his arm to drag him back upstairs.
"Hey, I put on the jacket!" Kirishima protested.
"Not good enough," Bakugou grunted in disapproval.
The pair walked into Kirishima's bedroom, Bakugou walking directly to his dresser to pick out a proper winter attire that would avoid his redheaded boyfriend from catching a cold or freezing to death. Both things his stubborn mind didn't or ever really thinks about.
Kirishima stood beside Bakugou, leaning down to see what exactly the other was searching for. Whatever it was, the blonde couldn't seem to find it, letting out a short puff of air from his nose in annoyance as he started looking through the next.
"You know you could just-"
"Do you not have any thermals?" Bakugou interrupted, pausing his search to look over at Kirishima.
"No, not since I was eight."
Bakugou huffed and straightened the clothing he tasseled around then made his way to the room beside Kirishima's, his own dorm room, the redhead following behind.
Before Kirishima was able to get a word out, a pair of thermals were shoved into his chest, the redhead grabbing them before they fell to the floor, looking them over. "Well, you didn't have to do that but thank you!"
Bakugou nodded. "Do y'have any thick socks? I forgot to check."
"No, but I should be okay," Kirishima said as Bakugou was already grabbing a pair for him the moment he heard him reply with no, handing those over as well.
"Nevermind then, I'll go ahead and put this stuff on!" Kirishima said before leaving to change into his borrowed clothing from his boyfriend. This was technically the first borrowed clothing he wore from him. Little things like this never failed to give Kirishima butterflies.
Meanwhile, as he did this, Bakugou stood, staring at the doorway for a moment as his thoughts became conflicted. After a minute or two of standing there, he let out a groan and pulled out thermals for himself from his closet.
As Kirishima came out, he knocked on Bakugou's door. "Hey! Can I get a goodbye kiss before I go?" He asked, the door swinging open to reveal the blonde bundled from head to toe.
This caused a grin to break out on Kirishima's face, Bakugou biting his lip to hold back a small smile.
"What made you change your mind?" He asked.
Bakugou only shrugged and fiddled with his hearing aids for a moment then wrapped a scarf that had been thrown over his shoulder, around his neck, making only half of his face visible.
After that, Bakugou brought his gloved hand out for Kirishima to take, the redhead taking it happily as he led him back downstairs where the two were welcomed with the cold as the door opened.
"Actually, I think I'd rather stay inside," Bakugou said with a tug at Kirishima's hand.
"What? We just got out here! Just wait a minute..please?"
Bakugou looked unamused as Kirishima looked at him with a pout but rolled his eyes, forcing himself to hang in tight. For Kirishima.
The bastard better pay him back.
"Fine," Bakugou grumbled, keeping his eyes on the ground as they walked. Each step marking prints in the snow along with the many others out in the snow, those who made them all around doing their own thing in the winter wonderland.
"Well hey there Kacchan," a voice, that wasn't Midoriya's, greeted. "Didn't expect to see you out here- well actually, if you're with Kiri then it makes sense," Kaminari said.
Bakugou simply ignored him while Kirishima waved to Kaminari with his free hand. "What are you making?"
"A snow fort!" Kaminari exclaimed, using jazz hands to emphasize the dazzle of the fort made of snow.
Right now, it was a pile of snow somewhat shaped in a curve, Hanta kneeled down behind it, working away at the forts exterior. "Are you going to help me or what?" Hanta asked as he poked his head up from what he was doing to glance at Kaminari.
"Yeah, sorry," Kaminari apologized then went over to help Hanta. "Todoroki promised to add a ice slide once we're done with both stories," Kaminari said, packing more snow into the forts wall.
"If it continues to snow, we've already used a lot," Hanta said.
"Need help?" Kirishima asked, the same time Bakugou tugged his hand.
"No. I'm not going to stand here and watch you three idiots build a dumb fort," Bakugou complained.
"Hey!" Kaminari yelled. "Our fort isn't dumb!"
"It's a pile of snow."
Kaminari scoffed. Hanta rolled his eyes. "He's just being a mood killer 'cause he doesn't wanna be out here," he said, Bakugou flipping the both of them off.
"Let's go," Bakugou grumbled at Kirishima who letting out a sigh, his breath showing visibly much like everyone else's breaths whenever they exhaled or spoke.
During this time, however, Kaminari took a chunk of their fort and packed it in annoyance as he aimed and fired directly at Bakugou.
Unfortunately for Bakugou, he turned just in time to see the snowball hurling at him only inches away to give him a direct hit to the face.
"Oops..sorry I didn't mean to aim for the face," Kaminari said, cursing himself internally for only having perfect aim when it wasn't needed.
"Are you okay?" Kirishima and Hanta echoed, all three of them eyeing Bakugou as he wiped the snow from his eyes.
To Kaminari's horror, he didn't say anything, then turned around to make his way back inside. "Be right back," was what the blonde said before disappearing inside.
"...Crap."
"Have fun with him," Hanta said to Kaminari with a pat on the shoulder then casually continued their fort.
"Kiri!" Kaminari whined. "Help!"
"Don't worry, I bet he's just getting the rest of the snow off," Kirishima tried to reassure.
"I doubt that," Hanta commented unhelpfully.
"He's right you know, I'm dead."
"We don't know th-" Kirishima started, trailing off as Sero and Kaminari looked over to see Bakugou coming back out, holding a plastic water bottle.
Bakugou handed over the water bottle to Kirishima. "Here," he said then leaned down to make a snowball.
"..Thanks?" Kirishima said, twisting off the cap and taking a gulp of water.
"Don't drink it dumbass! I just needed you to hold it!" Bakugou snapped, standing back up with a snowball in hand, snatching away the water bottle to pour the water on the snowball, looking directly at Kaminari as he did so.
Kaminari gulped.
"See? told you," Hanta said.
"Woah Bakugou, this is a little extreme, don't you think?" Kirishima asked.
"No, I don't think so."
Then after a minute of silence had been washed over the two of them, Bakugou suddenly charged towards Kaminari's direction, the poor boy letting out a yelp as he lea
pt behind Hanta.
Thankfully for Kaminari's sense, Kirishima had been waiting for him to strike so he could prevent chaos from occurring.
This meant Kirishima, the moment Bakugou attempted to lunge, threw his arms around Bakugou from behind, one arm blocking the blonde's armed snowball hand, the commotion making the water bottle to spill out as it fell to the ground.
Kirishima and Bakugou's current position looked like the redhead was giving the other a tight hug from behind.
"I wasn't going to actually do it! I just wanted to scare him!" Bakugou snapped.
"Liar!" Kaminari yelled, his head peeking over Hanta's shoulder.
"Shut up!"
"GUYS!" Kirishima yelled. That got everyone to shut up. "Can we please just calm down? I don't want to break up a fight."
Bakugou huffed but nodded, dropping the snowball on the ground as Kaminari hesitantly moved away from Hanta.
Todoroki then chose for that time to show up, waving to Bakugou and Kirishima then turned to Hanta and Kaminari.
"Do you guys still need that ice slide?"
===
After their time spent together outside, they came to the decision that now was a good time to come in. And by they, the truth was Bakugou came to the decision. But Kirishima found it fair since he hadn't wanted to go out in the first place.
Just about everyone was piling inside, crowding the kitchen which filled the entire downstairs with the smell of hot chocolate and sugar cookies.
Bakugou treaded ahead, he was ready to come in from the cold, leaving Kirishima in arms length as the two of them held hands. As they made it to the door, more so as Bakugou stood inside as Kirishima was just making his way into the doorway was when Ashido was right beside him.
There was a teasing chorus of "ooooos" as the mistletoe was pointed out by Tokoyami. Ashido and Kirishima looked up at the mistletoe hanging on the inside of the now closed door (for Asui's sake).
The two of them laughed a little, then gave each other a sibling like kiss on the cheek. The whole situation wasn't awkward with them at all, thanks to how close they were and their certain relationship towards one another.
It did bother Bakugou however. He wasn't jealous of Ashido kissing Kirishima's cheek, now that would be ridiculous. He as well as everyone else knew that they were close friends and nothing more. What bothered him was that he was supposed to be the first one to kiss Kirishima under the mistletoe. Even if those kisses were platonic.
Bakugou waited for Ashido to move then blocked Kirishima from leaving underneath the mistletoe, just staring at the other intensely. Trying to find that confidence made him falter but luckily, he was able to push his cowardice away to grab Kirishima's jacket and tug him forward, pressing their lips together into a successful kiss.
And if that didn't already fluster Kirishima enough, who was currently red faced and head over heels, Bakugou moved a hand to place around his boyfriend's back, the other grabbing his hand, Kirishima copying Bakugou's hand placement.
Then when Bakugou felt as if he was ready, he dipped Kirishima down into a kiss-though maybe he did so quicker than he was ready for.
Bakugou literally shoved his body into Kirishima's to make his body tilt, not fully braced for the impact of Kirishima's weight to be now suddenly in his arms with a force, sending the redhead flat on his back with the blonde's face shoved into Kirishima's chest.
Then there was a silence, one of everyone's eyes being on the pair currently on the ground before a chorus of laughter swept through, whether it be amused snorts or uncontrollable laughing fits.
"Oh man, you really are a romantic!" Kaminari teased.
"Not sure I'd say that if I were you," Kyoka chimed.
"And why is that?"
"You're making fun of someone's bad attempt at romance when your flirting isn't much better."
"Oh yeah? Then why is it that I got a boyfriend before Bakugou."
"Alright, fair enough."
Kaminari and Kyoka's chat had thankfully brought some attention away from Kirishima and Bakugou.
Speaking of, the two had gotten up during the midst of that, completely red faced but it soon faded. As they went up to get changed out of their winter attire, running into Koda on the way who was checking on his bunny, everyone was already getting back to what they were doing-though this didn't mean they wouldn't get teased more about it later.
Those who had already grabbed their warming beverage, were sitting at the tables where all the sugar cookies were. There was a station setup, different colors of icing and a wide variety of Christmas sprinkles. Only a handful were decorated, there was still much more to do.
Midoriya, Yaoyorozu and Ojiro were helping Sato out in the kitchen with the mess, while everyone else was either sitting at the couches or at the tables.
"You up to decorate some cookies?" Kirishima asked with a grin as they'd came back down
"Sure," Bakugou replied, the two of them heading upstairs to take off their winter wardrobe, taking a seat as they were done.
They looked at the variety, picking out the few amount of gingerbread men, begging to decorate their cookies to look like each other.
"Quit eating the icing or you'll get a stomachache," Bakugou snapped, smacking Kirishima's arm lightly as the other stuck a finger in his mouth to lick the glob of icing he purposely squirted on.
"Rude," Kirishima pouted.
"Oh, don't be a baby, I'm just trying to prevent you from doing something stupid."
"It's icing, Kats. I think I'll survive."
Bakugou rolled his eyes and went back to decorating his Kiri cookie, letting out a curse as the icing didn't seem to want to work with him. "Piece of shit- messed up your mouth," He huffed.
Kirishima looked over. "Aw don't worry about it, I couldn't do your hair very well anyway. It just looks windblown," he said. "I do appreciate the attempt at doing my teeth though."
Bakugou took a minute to try and fix it, only worsening it. He tried using his pinky finger to wipe it off then tried again. It was a slight improvement.
"That's the best I'll get this damn thing,"
"What do you mean? I love it!" Kirishima beamed then handed the Bakugou cookie to Bakugou as the Kirishima cookie was exchanged to Kirishima.
The couple went to the couches after eating their cookie selves and after cleaning up their mess of course. The both of them pressed against each other to steal one another's warmth.
After shifting and making minor adjustments to find comfort as well as gaining enough warmth to become satisfied is when Bakugou had felt himself already starting to get drowsy. He would catch himself closing his eyes, having to reopen them to keep awake.
Kirishima's was going on about something Bakugou couldn't recall, he put more focus in staying awake. Until he closed his eyes once more, his breathing then slowing down as he dosed off, his cheek squished against his boyfriends chest.
Bakugou couldn't help it, he spent the time in the snow which took a great deal of energy, then when already feeling tired, Kirishima snuggled him on the couches. How could somebody possibly be strong enough to keep conscious.
"I don't think he's paying attention," Ashido said as she took a seat beside Kirishima.
Kirishima paused at what he was rambling on about and looked down at Bakugou, smiling fondly at the sight. "Ah, yeah. Guess I bored him to sleep," he said with a small chuckle.
Kirishima had talked a little here and there with everyone before eventually getting tired himself to a point where he felt that he would soon be peacefully dozing on the couch along with Asui and Bakugou.
Soon enough, everyone headed to their dorms for the night, Shoji taking Asui to her room while Kirishima took Bakugou into his.
Unlike Shoji who was gentle with Asui, Kirishima had tripped over his own two feet as he were only a few feet away from the bed, letting out a grunt as he fell on top of Bakugou who had thankfully made it on the bed.
Bakugou had woken up with a start as he felt Kirishima's weight on top of him, kicking back the covers as Kirishima had gotten off of him with a rushed apology.
"I didn't mean to screw up the kiss back there, you didn't have to give me payback," Bakugou said, his voice groggy from sleep, but still in a slightly joking tone.
"I'd never! " Kirishima said with a mock gasp.
"Yeah yeah, now get your ass in bed," Bakugou said, rolling over to his back to Kirishima, the redhead happily taking his spot behind the blonde and wrapped his arms around him tightly.
"Night Kats," Kirishima hummed, hurrying his face into the crook of Bakugou's neck.
"Night Eiji," Bakugou yawned, gently placing his hand onto Kirishima's.
Neither of them lasted very long, sleeping soundly together as the snow started to kick up again, falling quietly to the ground to prepare for another snow filled day in the morning.
