Chu Wanning never thought that pinned under a man while wearing nothing but a stretched out t-shirt that has fallen upwards onto his stomach and about to be stabbed he would ever feel safe. But here with Mo Ran he does. There's something in how vulnerable he feels at Mo Ran's mercy that is far more comforting than absolute security has ever made him feel. He feels small and weak but small and weak means Mo Ran can control him and with that control means absolute love and protection. He doesn't need to worry about feeling exposed because Mo Ran is the only one who will see him.
He knows that there will be a second of pain but that will be all.
After that second he'll be wrapped in Mo Ran’s arms, Mo Ran’s gift of a small red earring part of him forever.
